Riku had come across the situation on his way home, and was observing with interest. The pair made an intriguing contrast: the girl with her almost innocent look, and the man who provided a much more intimidating presence. When the man took his goggles and mask off, Riku recognised him as 'The Heretic', someone who he had a bit of respect for. His boldness and disregard for rules of any sort made him unpredicable, while Riku was restricted by his own obsessions and internal rules. The girl behind Vincent he recognised as Abi, and he had kind of liked her. Not in a romantic way, but he found her interesting...
When the older man pulled the gun on Yuna, Riku wanted to step forward, to end it right there. But even though he respected Vincent, he was scared of him. Especially when he was stoned, which the the older male obviously was. It made him,much more unpredictable. Riku would stay out of it for now...only if Vincent looked as though he were actually going to fire would he step in.
