Amunet sighed. She'd been on the road for quite some time now, and even when she went through towns, she still couldn't find any living soul. She hadn't realized that the affect of the disease had been this drastic. Surely she could find someone who could give her a clue on who caused this madness. She wasn't impatient. she could wait for a long time to carry out her revenge, but...she didn't want anyone else getting to them first. Someone who had devastated this much of the population must have a ton of enemies. Amunet wouldn't mind sharing her revenge with them. She didn't even mind them killing the sole original master-minds of this evil plan, but she wanted some way to harm them, to make them understand their sin. She wanted to at least get one stab at the foundation of her sister's destruction.
It was getting dark. She could detect the little changes in the sky and smell it in the wind. When she first realized her sharpened senses, she'd been against using them, but they were so deeply ingrained in her system that she had no choice. Besides, after she got used to them, it wasn't too bad. It was, in fact, very convenient, but she didn't like knowing the price of her new senses was her sister's life. Looking around, Amunet tried to distract herself by finding somewhere to rest for the night. She hadn't rested in a few days, and she knew she needed to find something to eat at least.
