Introduction
So I started a roleplay 2 years back and there were 2 parts to it as stated below:
Chapter 1: The Guardians- Rise of Garthox
Chapter 2: The Guardians- Journey to the Worlds
But before anything else, here's the history of this tale:
God created 8 Worlds. He also built a sacred land called Arilt; the linkway from one world to another. On Arilt, the gods left two beings to protect it from evil. They were two brothers. At that time, evil was anything that reeked of greed, hatred, jealously, vengeance and menace. It had no particular form.
Both brothers were tasked the job of making sure that the eight worlds were taken well care of. They were to also watch over the gateways that led to the eight different worlds. Anyone could visit any of the other worlds but they all had to go through the two brothers. All was calm and at peace. However, soon, there was word of an evil rising. His name was Garthox. Garthox raged war against many Worlds and took many innocent lives. He attempted to strike a deal with God.
He asked for complete rule over Anothadis. When god said no, Garthox flew into a rage of fury and began to wreak havoc. Noone knew where he had attained his powers but to expand his power, he began to steal the souls of other creatures. Slowly, he became powerful and although, the two brothers, warned him, he ignored all warnings and carried on with his quest to dominate all eight worlds. The two brothers pleaded with God to destroy Garthox.
God made a decision. He chose eight different beings from the eight different worlds. He made them stronger than the rest of their people and named them the Guardians, the chosen ones. Their abilities were enhanced ten- fold.
Together, they formed a plan to capture Garthox who now had the power to form an army of his own. He was becoming greedier and hatred filled his soul.
The Guardians requested the 2 brothers to create a portal to entrap Garthox in the Void Dimension. Garthox was now too powerful to kill so they could only trap him. The brothers agreed and created the portal to the tormenting dimension where time does not exist. The Guardians fought a great battle that lasted for decades before they finally captured Garthox. At the point where he was most weak, they managed to overpower him and seal him within the Void Dimension. But they could not trap 5 of his most powerful minions who ran his armies.
However, this is not where it ends. For when Garthox was being sealed into the Void Dimension, he created a prophecy. He put a curse on the portal leading to the Void Dimension. Every ten thousand years, the portal would weaken and with the help of his five powerful minions, he would be free. But everytime he attempts to escape, the descendents Chosen ones have always managed to seal the portal back.
Garthox has never left the Void Dimension. The worlds have been in peace with the two brothers guarding the doorway and the portal kept under close watch. But it is now once again the ten thousandth year and Garthox’s prophecy will take place again. The Void dimension will reopen but this time............
Garthox will escape and the 8 Worlds will face the greatest battle they have ever known...

Alright so here's further explanation:
In the previous two chapters, Garthox has all ready escaped and with the help of his 5 minions, he has taken control of the World of Belluvier and the World of Flinx. The Guardians have each attained their full strength and abilities from the Tree of Wisdom. They have all travelled back to their worlds to find the item that will aid them in the battle. Each one of them have discovered the item.
However here's where the story takes a dark twist. Despite having found the relics, the Guardians were ambushed by Garthox and his minions. While they were resting on the Land of Arilt, preparing to head to the Island of the Lost City where the final battle was prophesized to be taking place, Garthox and his minions managed to break through into the the land and killed Hugh and all the Guardians expect one.
Using her powers of time manipulation, the Guardian of Earth saved all the relics and left the gruesome battle. As she sped through time, she deposited each relic in every world, spreading them out far and wide so that Garthox may never find them. Her powers exhausted and her will diminished, the Guardian of Earth lost herself in time and was never to be seen.
After that bloody battle that had left all the Guardians and Hugh dead, the people of the 8 worlds had no more champion. Garthox and his 5 evil minions took over all the worlds and ruled it with terror. They built an army of foul creatures and hateful people and wreaked havoc on all those who dared to defy them.

It's been 100 years since that gruesome battle and the 8 worlds are shrouded in darkness. People live in fear as Garthox's army keep a watchful eye on them. The Guardians are now nothing more than a legend, a story told to small children to ease their fear. No one believes in them, no one has faith in the future.
But there has been a rumour going around that a group of rebels have formed in the mountains of Anothadis and that they have found the key to destroy Garthox and that they believe a new generation of Guardians have been born.

GOOD GUYS:
1) The Guardians- You have powers that relate to the world you are from. You do not know you are Guardian as of yet. You live in your own world and live in fear.
2) The Rebels- You are part of an elite group that have found proof in an old book that Guardians existed and may still exist. The rebels are made up of races from different worlds and range in different ages. They have taken up home in the mountains of Anothadis and remain hidden there in secret with their families.
3) Anyone else you can think up of- Could be someone who works alone, someone who is a soldier in Garthox's army but actually wants to help...I leave it to your imagination.
BAD GUYS:
1) Garthox- He's just pure evil. An entity that despises love and joy; he feeds of the fear of others and thrives for more power. In the recent 100 years since his conquering of the 8 worlds, Garthox has grown restless and hungers for something more.
2) Garthox's minions- He has 5 minions, each who were once Great Kings of the own Worlds. Their motivation in helping to assist Garthox are their own and they currently rule the world they belong to.
3) Anyone else you can think up of- Could be a new person who wants to become a minion himself/herself, a solider...anything.

Here is the description of each Guardian's ability and the world they are from as well as the minion's role.
GUARDIANS:
1. Earth, the land of Sapiens
Extra Powers: Able to move through time now
Object: Time chains- each one for a Guardian, this Guardian can now allow her fellow Guardians to move through time with her/him as long as they wear the chain.
2. Flinx, the land of faries:
Extra Powers: Able to fly for as long as she/he wants and strength is enhanced. She/he is able to communicate with animals of the sky.
Object: Twin orbs. 1st orb- allows the Guardian to sense if evil is near. If the 2nd orb is attained, the Guardian will be able to combine the two and this will allow him/her to control weather to a certain extent.
3. Solas, the sea of mermaids:
Extra powers: Able to form large quantities of water and freeze larger amounts of water. Also be able to summon his animal; a giant water serpant that awaits its Guardian to summon it. The water serpent is able to move both on land and on water. It is also able to shrink to a tiny size so that the Guardian can carry it around.
Object: The Trident. The Trident will allow the Guardian of Solas to form megaplumes. Megaplumes are a phenomenon. When underwater volcanoes erupt, the lava is encased in the cold water (like a bubble). The lava is carried to the surface in this water bubble. Upon reaching the surface, the bubble bursts at a tremendous power, releasing the burning hot lava all around. With the Trident, the Guardian will be able to form these megaplumes even without water or volcanoes around.
4. Jagantha, the land of elves:
Extra Powers: Able to recall all the spells of his ancestors and chant them with ease. Also able to heal now.
Object: Bow of death. Any arrow shot from this bow, will ensure certain death.
5. Pastecew, the land of sprites:
Extra Powers: Will be able to communicate with the trees and the animals of land. Able to manipulate plants.
Object: Gado horn. This small horn will allow him to call all the animals of land to aid him when in these times of darkness.
6. Anothadis, land of Caluxes:
Extra Powers: Ability to call upon any weapon from a portal. If the Guardian thinks of the weapon, it will appear.
Object: Eye of the dragon. It is a ring that allows the Guardian to awaken the dragons to aid them in the battle against Garthox. (dragons are thought to be extinct but are actually in hiding)
7. Hisbanl, the land of Karnogs:
Extra Powers: Ability to create creatures using darkness. Will be able to shape shift into anything he comes in contact with.
Object: Sitora armour. With this armour, the Guardian will be able to repel any spells cast. The armour will conform to the shape of any animal he changes into. The armour also allows him to withstand several attacks.
8. Belluvier, the land of the Dreigns:
Extra Powers: Will now be able to move at the speed of light. Will also recieve all the knowledge of all his/her ancestors. Will be able to read people's minds.
Object: Hador chain. This necklace will allow him/her to control people's minds, ultimately controlling their actions. He/she can control up to 15 beings' minds.

I hope who ever takes over as Garthox, realizes the time and effort I put into him to make him as deliciously evil as I could. Anyway break a leg on this chapter Aslin, I know with the proper writers this will be epic.
