Introduction
But, a word to the wise; it IS a home for teens, so there will be a good deal of drama. Also, the House of Others was built on what's rumored to be a burial ground; expect the unexpected and an unhealthy dose of the supernatural.
Another rumor that is circulating; that the whole home is one big science experiment, that every action is a carefully planned, well thought out lab test, working towards genetically modified Others to take over the humans. But who would listen to that? Only the crazy humans would think that...

OOC Notes
Her lavender hair was whipping behind her, her black bustle skirt snapped, and her cheeks smarted from the harsh South wind coming in. She was looking over the front yard, staring down the dirt road. the road that lead to the rest of the world; the world of stares, judgment, and mocking humans...
She turned toward the house, and sighed.
"Where could they all be?" she quietly asked herself. "I've finally spread the word of this place; Others should be flocking to my gates...escaping the human-ruled world..."
She turned again. Her gold eyes searched the road; the tree line.
Shaking her head, she sighed, and went inside the large house.

"Finally." she breathed.
She stood, and strode to the door, her floor-length skirt whispering against the tile.
On the porch stood a bald man, with a faint aura surrounding him. He certainly wasn't human; her first guest for the House. She turned slightly when she heard the padded noise of wolf paws on tile. Ah; so he too would greet their new guests.
"Welcome." she began. "My name is Evermore; I'm the Headmistress for the House of Others. Please, tell me your name, why you're here, and a little of your history. I'm afraid I can't let you in just yet; Vilkas here," she said, gesturing towards the sleek silver wolf at her knees "is very territorial. Once he thinks you gave a sufficient answer, he will allow you to come in."
The silver wolf stared at the boy. It never blinked; its purple eyes had an unsettling amount of intelligence in them.
OOC Notes
He listens intently to her as she talks, informing him that she's the Headmistress. His aura turns from a light green/yellow color to a strong, green color.
''I'm glad to finally meet you, Headmistress.'' he said as he put his hands together in front of his chest and bowed before her.
''My name is Devan Predem, and I, too, am an Other. My ability is telekinesis, and as you can see, I have this.. Aura surrounding me. What this has to do with my power, I do not know, but I may be able to get my answers here, aye?'' he said, smiling at her, then looked at the wolf and back at her as he continued: ''I am 18 years old, and my life has been full of humans not being able to accept my.. Powers. I've learned to cope with this, though, as they only protect themselves from what they don't know how to explain, because it's what they fear. I hope that your House here can give me the freedom and tranquility, which I've always needed. So, to sum it up, I'm here for answers about myself and to get a much needed free space. Also, I look forward to talking with other Other's here.'' he finished, then looking at the two expectantly. ''I hope, that was good enough.'' he thought.
OOC Notes
"Got to get out, got to get out," she mumbled over and over, fear flashing in her normally bright blue eyes.
Actually, her eyes hadn't been bright since her sister left a few days ago. The last person who seemed to understand her.
Her eyes searched the terrain frantically, and she almost didn't notice the large Victorian-style building. She abruptly turned and began running for the building.
"Got to get out, got to get out. So many people. Why do they want to hurt me? Am I crazy? Why is this happening?" Her right hand drifted up and played nervously with the locket that hung around her neck amid the beads.
She glanced at her arms. Bruises were already forming on them and blood could be seen here and there from multiple cuts.
As she neared the building she slowed down and hesitated.
What if they're violent too? How do I know this is the right place?
However, she pushed against the fear and kept walking, slow now, though. She noticed a large silver-gray wolf and a woman on the far side of the door as well as a man closer to her. The girl's eyes focused on the wolf and a small squeak escaped her as her arm hit a tree.
"Damn it," she cursed quietly as she continued to the door nervously.
She paused, waiting a few feet away. It was obvious that she didn't want to intrude upon their conversation.

She laughed quietly. "That seems to be good enough." The boy instantly seemed relieved. "I actually find your abilities very intersting. Please, consider yourself a guest here. If you have any problems, let me know at once."
She stepped aside from the doorway, and the boy proceeded inside.
She looked up, ready to help the next guest, who had been waiting. She seeme nervous, and scared.
"Come hither, child. Do not be afraid to be here. No one will hurt you. Here, you are safe from the rest of the world, away from the silly humans who, from your nervous diposition and various injuries, abused you."
She motioned for the girl to proceed to the porch. Vilkas even twitched a little, trying to make her feel more welcome.
OOC Notes
I frown some as I walk towards the big Victorian house. Out of all my 200-whatever years as a vampire I had never seen a house quite like this before. It was odd yet quite beautiful. I pause when I see the lady in the door and the girl standing in front of her. I decide to wait my turn and step into the shadows of a tree, pulling the shadows just a little tighter around myself.
OOC Notes
"Come come child;Vilkas won't hurt you, nor will I." she said to the injured girl in front of her. She pulled the girl into the House, and sat her down in the sitting room, acroos from David. "I'll help you in just a moment. Be still, and kind to each other" she said to both the guests.
She walked briskly back to the porch. She leaned against one of the posts, searching. She looked all along the treeline.
She nodded, thoroughly impressed with the Other's skill. Even her elven eyes couldn't spot them.
"Come on out. I know you're out there, though I can't see you. We won't hurt you. This is the House of Others, built just for our kind. Please, show yourself;come into my House."
Evermore searched again, looking for the seemingly invisble Other.
OOC Notes
"Damn rocks and dirt..." I cursed, brushing myself off. All good; no clothing damaged, hair fabulous as usual.
I heard some laughter from the trees, and casually flipped them off. Damn freaks; can't stand them. I'm ONLY visting. Soo not staying here. Poor Miss Rivers; what did she get herself into?
Miss Rivers saw me, frowned and shook her head slightly, then started to giggle. A lady-like giggle even; petite hand-over-the-mouth-weird-thing she always does.
I simply stood, and gave my best 'Ta-da!' look and announced...
"Hello Miss Rivers; Lilith has arrived!"

"Ermm, not to inturupt, but Miss Rivers, I'm just visiting. I'm no freak. But I was wondering if I could talk to you... in private, considering we haven't seen each other in a while. Okie do- hemm hemm... ok?" i corrected, trying not to be my dorky self infront of the smokin' freak. Wow... that sounds so wrong... Him and I exchanged an awkward look, that i couldn't decipher between good awkward or bad awkward. But, naturally, I'm hoping for good.
OOC Notes
I avert my eyes back to Miss Rivers. "So uh... where do I go now?" I ask, my mind slightly clouded with very teenager-ish thoughts. It's amazing how I can still think like a teenager, even now, all these years later. "'Cause I am staying, at least, I think I am..."
OOC Notes
Evermore glanced between the two very different Others. And giggled, only slightly. But it was still enough to make the two look at each other again.
"My, my. Look at you two! Already starting your own dramas." She giggled again, then stopped when Vilkas bumped her, reminding her of business. "All right, enough for the moment." she said, smiling at Vilkas. He seemed, if even possible, to smile back. In his own wolf-ish way. First; you, young gentleman. I'm sorry I mistook your hesitance for fear; forgive me. My guess is that you are a vampire, yes? Please, state your name, business here, and a little of your history. Again, forgive me if I seem intrusive, but Vilkas must approve of you before he lets any one in the House. He isn't very picky, but he likes to know at least a little about our guests before they get too busy for him. You don't mind wolves, do you?" she said, gesturing to the silver wolf.
"Now," she said turning to Lilith. "You've finally arrived; I've been waiting for you." She threw her arms around Lilith, ignoring the girls protests. Vilkas only stared at the girl. "You must have remembered my little 'stories'. You are very smart, to figure them out on your own." She ignored the boys derisive snort at the last comment. "You say you'll only visit?! What utter nonsensical thoughts you are thinking! You will stay here, where no humans can hurt, or mock you. And," she added with a sideways glance toward the vampire. "You might just make some, err...'Friends' while you're here."
When Lilith just gave her THAT look, Evermore nodded to Vilkas. He seemed to sigh, then took hold of her pants with his teeth.
Firmly; resolutely.
Lilith gave a little sqeak, and raised a hand to the wolf. Evermore caught her hand easily; elven reflexes.
"Now, now; none of that. He's only ensuring your permanent residence here; any Other may come as they please, but you my dear, must stay here. After all, I once was your care-taker; I feel responsible for your well being. Now, you may continue fruitlessly to fight us, or, you may continue on inside to the entryway. Choose." Evermore looked expectantly at her; waiting. Vilkas gave an extra tug, just to hurry her along. He, after all, had better things to do than babysit a coarse, flippant demon-child.
She looked over at the vampire. Quirked an eyebrow. She was saying, without words, because her patience with these two was failing; Well? Answer! And don't think I won't use such techniques on you.

Ever sighed, just slightly. "Lillith, you know I don't want to punish you,but I will if I must. Don't expect special treatment just beacause I was once your caretaker. As for your 'just visiting', it is up to you. You are nearly a women now; almost grown up. I can't tell you what you will and not will do, but I can tell you what you may and may not do. You may stay here; you may not visit as you please. This House is to give unfortunate Others peace from the rest of the world; you will not disturb that with sporadic visits. Please, I do wish you would stay, but it is, after all, your own life. Do with it what you will." Evermore looked toward her, eyes lowered;the perfectly angelic face, the face no one can say no to. And she knew it. She released Lillith, as did Vilkas.
"Now, for you my dear." she said, turning to the vampire. "Vilkas has given his permission; you may stay here. All that you brought is plenty; you needn't have brought anything, actually. We provide any thing that you wish for. As for your history, I'm terribly sorry for your loss; I know what the pain is like to loss a beloved one; my sympathies. You will learn soon enough, if you haven't already, that the pain never really leaves you; it will always be there. But you must live through it." she reached for his hand, and held it for a moment; comforting him. He looked slightly taked aback, but more relaxed. She smiled, just so, at him. "There! There's a smile; much better. As for your knowledge; that's wonderful! Perhaps you will assist me in my classes, yes? And regarding your powers; we all will help as much as possible. I'm certain I have a book or two on Shadowing and Vampires; use them as you like, whenever you need them. And, for the final part," she said, giggling again. "Though, age wise, you are quite old, you inhabit a teenage body. Obviously, relationships are quite present in youe mind. Even I, with six hundred years, feel quite...well...like a teenager often;" here she stroked Vilkas' coat. "It's really not something you can control. There's absolutely no reason to be embarassed. I'm sure you'll find someone here..." Evermore glanced toward Lillith. Again they looked at each other, more openly.
She stepped aside, swept her arms across, signaling him to go in. He proceeded inside.
'I hope Lilly doesn't make him one of her, err... 'toys' like some of those human boys, if they get together...They deserved it; but not he. He has already enough pain; he must step lightly with her. And just to be sure, I'll watch them; just in case something should happen between them that will upset the peace in the House...'
"Lilly, err...Lilith? I'm awaiting your response; I am a busy women. I have far better things to do than stand here and argue your residancey here"
