The continent of SANDORITH

The Kingdom of Granlidous was built in an area full of sunshine and light. They have learned to harness the power of light as power. All of their machinery and magic is fueled by light. They have come to be known as "Brightlanders" among the non-humans.

The Kingdom of Trivima was built in a dark and cloudy area rich with dense dark forests. They have learned how to harness the shadows as power. All of their machinery and magic is run by shadows. They have come to be known as "Shadowlanders" among the non-humans.

The magic of the two lands work in exactly the same way just with different power sources. Unfortunately for the Shadowlanders, their magic isn't "pretty" and is feared by many people. The kingdom of light especially looks down on their twisted magic dismissing it as "demonic." Because of this, the two kingdoms have been at odds with each other. There have been skirmishes here and there, but never all out war. However, the hatred has been searing for nearly two centuries.

Granlidous is looking for any excuse to go to war. Under their new ruler, the kingdom has been manufacturing weapons at an alarming rate. The troops of Granlidous have stationed themselves outside the border of Trivima.


WORLD LAYOUT

The story takes place on a large continent with four kingdoms in the north, south, east, and west.

NORTHERN KINGDOM
Description: It is a snowy area at a high elevation.
Inhabitants: White Skinned Elves. They are peaceful, but have great skill in making weapons and combat. Sparring is a popular sport for them; they enjoy fighting, but hate killing. It is said that the skin color of elves depends on where they live.

SOUTHERN KINGDOM
Description: It is a warm sub-tropical area
Inhabitants: Sprites. They are another peaceful race of people. They tend to enjoy things like reading and poetry. They are extremely skilled in the use of magic. They are plant-like winged people who can use photosynthesis. They have the appearance of elves except for their wings. Sprites have the skin color of wild flowers, very vibrant and varied.

EASTERN KINGDOM
Description: This is a temperate area that is bright and full of sunshine.
Inhabitants: Humans. The humans of this area learned how to use light magic. They harness the power of light to run their machines. Because of this, the elves and sprites call the eastern kingdom the “Brightlands” and the people “Brightlanders.”

WESTERN KINGDOM
Description: A dark and cloudy area mostly comprised of dense dark forests. They get little sunshine.
Inhabitants: Humans. The humans of this area learned how to use shadow magic. They harness shadows into energy to run their machines. Because of this, the elves and sprites refer to the western kingdom as the “Shadowlands” and the people “Shadowlanders.”

CENTRAL AREA
This area is the hub for trade among all of the kingdoms. There are various autonomous city states and small villages. This area is mostly meadows, plains and grassland though there are a few mountains.



RACES:

1. Humans from the eastern kingdom of Granlidous. Elves and Sprites refer to them as "Brightlanders"

2. Humans from the western kingdom of Trivima. Referred to as "Shadowlander" by elves and sprites

3. White skinned elves from the snowy north.

4. Sprites from the southern subtropical area. They range from different skin colors (like wild flowers)

Sorcerer: Offensive Magic and Healing

Bard: Support magic and Anti-Magic
