Character Application

A couple of quick question before I start coming up with a character:

1) Are Knights allowed to have families, or are these Knights the solo-flyer kind?

2) Is there a rank system to the Knights (eg. Knight-Captain, Knight-Commander, etc.), or are they all just Knights?

3) Are there specific colors for the Knights, or just whatever?

Sorry for all the questions, I just don't want to create a character that's out-of-place and/or...un-lorical? (Can I say that?) O.o

Anyway, I could also help with the map and such, if you need it. =)
