Introduction
Tsuki no hōseki: The Moon's Jewel.
A single object that is nothing but myth. They say whoever harnesses the jewel's power can amplify their bending to a level that surpasses the Avatar himself. But legend says that this artifact was lost thousands of years ago. Anyone that has tried searching have failed, their journey ending in death. No one knows how the jewel came to be, or how it vanished. Some disregard it as a story, others believe it is the moon itself. Still, to this day, there are those who think it exists, and desperately try to hunt it down in order to gain not only power, but fame and glory.
A certain person in mind, hunts vigorously for the Moon's Jewel. He has been looking for decades, even when the Fire Nation threatened the world, this one man stayed on his task. He ignored the fate of the world for his own personal gain, and has payed dearly. Now his patience grows thin, and he has grown tired of searching for nothing. In the Fire Nation capital, he plots and schemes, waiting for the perfect moment. During Fire lord Zuko's reign, this man begins his ultimate idea. In the period of an hour, the General of the North; Len Fer, destroyed the Fire Nation capital, forcing Fire lord Zuko and his family into hiding. Len now has total control over the devastating armies of the Fire Nation, and he plans to use them to his advantage. He has declared himself the new Fire lord, and has marked Zuko as an outcast. However, the people of the Fire Nation love Zuko, and ignore Len's lies. Wanting nothing more then to find the Moon's Jewel, Len has began a march on the world for complete domination. He has the Fire Nation under his might, and soon, he will have the whole world at his disposal, unless..
The Air Temples. All of them destroyed by the war two decades ago. But have now been restored to their former stature. The Avatar Aang has come to make his home here, along with his wife and two sons. Katara, a water bender from the Southern Water Tribe, raises her sons in the Air Temple, teaching her youngest waterbending, while her older son has picked up his father's abilities. Aang and Katara are clueless as to the events that are unfolding in the Fire Nation, and receive word of the situation too late. Because it is the Avatar's duty to uphold peace between the four Nations, Aang sets out for the Fire Nation capital to confront Len. He has sent a message across the entire world: The Fire Nation has been seized by the General of the North, and anyone wishing to fight for peace will do so, or perish in the ashes left behind. With this message, warriors from every corner of the world stand and fight for peace. But, because of Len's years of planning, he is a step ahead. The Fire Nation has control over a large part of the world, and their grip tightens, covering more land each day.
In the Earth Kingdom, the King himself has declared war on the Fire Nation. He believes Zuko is behind all this, thinking the Fire lord wants power just like his father. The King has told his beliefs to his subjects, who now hold hatred for Zuko, and stand to fight his supposed conquest for world domination..
In the Water Tribes, warriors flock to the mainland to confront the Fire Nation and assist the avatar as best they can..
Zuko has heard of Aang's actions, and in order to help the Avatar, sends one of his best men out to find a group of powerful benders who will aid Aang on his conquest. One of Zuko's elite guards, yet somehow, this guard is unlike the others..

OOC Notes
Takashi sat, annoyed, on top of a boulder on the side of the road. He had recently found out his companion, Torhu, had come with him against her father's wishes. "Of all the things to do... Why couldn't you have just run off with some water tribe boy? At least that option would have given me less stress and something fun to do besides babysit you." He was a little more concerned then angry though. Takashi was planning to run into a lot of resistance once they reached the port. It wasn't like they could just board a Fire Nation ship and sail to the Earth Kingdom without problems. No, some how Len had heard of Takashi's actions, and had placed a bounty on his head. The Firebender tugged a rolled up piece of paper from his back pocket and scrolled over it. "1,000 gold pieces my ass! I'm worth a lot more than that!" To be honest, he found it amusing. Takashi had always wanted to know what it felt like to be an outlaw. Although, he was starting to get sick of it.
"Torhu, if I had known Lord Zuko was against the idea of you tagging along, I would have turned around and dragged you back.. But, it's a good half week's journey back to the hideout. So, it looks like you're going to have to come along." He knew this was what she planned to do in the beginning, but he was still a little unsure about the whole situation. "But remember. No one can know who you are. If they do, it could lead us into a heap of trouble. So try and stay out of the spotlight, alright?"
"Torhu, if I had known Lord Zuko was against the idea of you tagging along, I would have turned around and dragged you back.. But, it's a good half week's journey back to the hideout. Nina was seated in one of the highest branches of a large oak tree, gazing down at the ground below her. She'd been travling for a few days, and stopped to figure out which direction to head in now. She could go straight to the Fire Nation, but figured that would be more trouble then it was worth. Nina let out a soft groan letting her head fall back against the rough bark, while she blew a stray lock of hair out of her eyes. "What to do, what to do." She mumbled to herself, as her eyes slipped close. In the few moments of silence that followed, Nina's mind wandered back to her father and hoped that he was unharmed. If he's not, someones gonna die. She thought darkly her gaze snapping open as she moved to sit up rather quickly.
Though in the sudden movement, Nina lost her blanace slipping out of the tree. "Ack!" She screamed out, while trying to grasp a hold of a branch. Failing miserably, she hit the ground, landing on her right side with a quiet groan. "Ah damn..Just my luck.." She muttered while wincing in slight pain. She rolled onto her back, glaring up at the top of the tree were her things still remained. "Stop mocking me will ya!"
Though in the sudden movement, Nina lost her blanace slipping out of the tree. "Ack!" She screamed out, while trying to grasp a hold of a branch. Failing miserably, she hit the ground, landing on her right side with a quiet groan. "Ah damn..Just my luck.." She muttered while wincing in slight pain. She rolled onto her back, glaring up at the top of the tree were her things still remained. "Stop mocking me will ya!"

Torhu rolled her eyes. She vaugly listened as Takashi lectured her. "I'm not some goofy little kid anymore, Takashi-san. I can take care of myself, and I know no one can find out who I am. And you know me better than anyone besides my parents. It's not like I could just sit around while some hot-headed moron took over my country." She crossed her arms, her orange hair flowing the whole way past her waist. "You were my only ticket out of there in a hurry. I'm sorry I used you like that, as well as lied to you, but I can't remain passive. I would have gone insane." She was being truthful when she said she was sorry for lying. When she'd heard Takashi was leaving, she ran striaght to his quarters, vaugly saying that Zuko wanted her to go as well. Which of course made no sense whatsoever. Anyone who was as close to the Fire Lord as Takashi was knew that Zuko was extreamly overprotective of his only daughter. But, she had convinced him, and only because of the nagging guilt she felt about lying to her friend had she come clean. But only after she knew they were far eough away that he wouldn't take her back. She smiled slightly, amused at the price. "Bounties aren't usualy something to squabble about, you know." She knew staying hidden wouldn't be all that hard at first, so long as neither of them fire-bended. But the truth was, Takashi was a hot-head, whether he admitted it or not. Not in the normal sense, but rather that he jumped at every fight he could see, which worried Torhu that he would be the one to get caught. Then, she smiled and added, "Because running off with 'some water tribe boy' isn't nearly as much fun."
OOC Notes
Takashi smirked slightly. He couldn't change her mind, he knew it. Still, he had to try. "Well then, I suppose it won't kill me to drag you along." He jumped off of his little perch in time to hear a loud thud and a scream a good distance away. He ran over to where he had heard the noise, and found a girl sprawled out on the ground, glaring up at a tree. Without speaking, he glanced up to see an assortment of items still stuck in the branches, and he laughed quietly at her spark of bad luck. "Need some help?" Takashi pulled the girl to her feet and glanced at her side. "That's a good sized bruise. You'd better have that checked." His voice trailed off as he walked over to the tree and gave it a hard kick. The whole thing rattled slightly, but it was enough for the girl's things to fall from the branch.
Takashi set the girl's items on the ground next to her and stared at her for a while. She looked like a Fire Nation mercenary. But was she on Len's side or Zuko's. Before Nina could get to her feet, a tall male blocked out her vision. "Need some help?" She heard him question, while also laughing quietly. Before she knew it however she was hauled to her feet, and groaning in slight pain. "Well if you would have left me there for about 5 more minutes I'm sure my rib wouldn't feel like it just shattered. But thanks for the help." She replied, while her hand moved to rub at her already bruising side. As he retreaved her things from the tree, she took a moment to take him and his comppanion in. They were Fire Nation. That much was obvious. The male looked famaliar, but for some reason she couldn't quite place him. The girl however, she didn't recognize. "I'm Takashi, and she's Torhu." Of course! That's where she knew him from. Takashi had a bounty on his head.
"I'm Nina, nice too meet you two. And ya know, Takashi you really should do a better job of hiding your appareance. You have a bounty on your head ya know." She remarked, a quiet laugh leaving her lips. She then scooped up her bag, slinging the strap over her shoulder before she hooked her sheathed sword to her belt.

“Tora, I'm hungry,” the small voice nagged from behind her. She took a deep sigh. Ryu, her brother trudged along behind her at a snails pace.
“If you don't pick up speed we will never make it to Omashu,” Tora threatened. She hadn't crossed anyone's path to steal some food from, it had been over two days since Ryu had eaten, it had been almost four since Tora had eaten. She had given her portions to Ryu. Omashu was sure to have some sort of food, or at least people to steal food from.
“But I'm tired, and my feet hurt,” Ryu growled.
“I know, but there is nothing I can do about that, either we take a break and it is tomorrow before we eat, or we keep going and hopefully have a hot dinner tonight.” Needless to say, Ryu continued to walk, even at his slow pace. A few more hours passed, and the exhaustion was to much for Ryu to bare, he fell to his knees, and could not get up. Omashu was in sight, it would only be a few more hours till they could have full bellies, and possibly a bed to sleep in. Ryu cried and apologized. Tora shushed him lovingly and pulled him onto her back, and trudged the last few miles in silence.

Nina turned her gaze to Torhu, fighting back a laugh. She could already tell the girl didn't trust her. But she didn't really care. As far as she was concerned she shouldn't trust them. Ah oh well. Only time will tell I suppose. She thought to herself while looking over Takashi then Torhu. "What were you doing in the tree anyway?" At the sound of her voice, Nina's gaze turned to her, while she tilted her head. "Resting. And deciding what I should do next." She shrugged a bit, though the motion caused pain to radiate from her side. She winced a bit, her hand covering the bruise. "But I moved to quick and fell out." Tilting her head back, Nina gazed up at the the tree for a moment, a slight scowl darkening her features, but was gone almost as quickly as it appeared.
OOC Notes
Takashi looked at Torhu, then to Nina. It appeared the two didn't like each other, or rather, Torhu didn't like Nina. He looked around, thinking of what to do next. They could take this girl with them. Or, they could just leave her here. However, she was injured and he had to get to a doctor or healer or someone. "Well since you have no where to go, why not come with us? We're on our way to the Earth Kingdom, and could use the company." Nina was right about his appearance. But, he wasn't about to change how he looked just so he could hide. Besides, he'd blend in easier if he had a few people with him. "Yeah I know. It's a small thing, so I'm not going to worry over it too much." Takashi yawned slightly and walked along the path he and Torhu were previously on, motiong for the two girls to follow him. "When we get to to the nearest port we're going to have to get you to a doctor. Then, we'll worry about finding a ship."

When Nina scowled at the tree, she smiled slightly, amused. She was also surprised when Takashi asked her to join them. She thought about protesting, but figured that Takashi wa just as stubborn as she was, he wasn't going to budge. "You know, Nina, it really wasn't the tree's fault. It doesn't appreciate your scowl." Her eyes sparkled as she said this, teasing. "And Takashi is right. The sooner we get to port, the better."

Hearing Takashi mention getting a doctor too look at her, she rolled her eyes laughing just a bit. "And you remind me of my father." She mumbled to herself, though at the thought of her father a saddened expression settled on her face. She hadn't spoken to her father since she heard Lord Zuko and his family were forced into hiding because of that crazy Len person. It saddened her just a bit more, knowing she'd been gone for so long she wasn't even with her father when everything went completly crazy. I hope he's alright.. She thought to herself, her gaze on the ground. She figured she could stick with the two. She didn't really see much harm in it, so once Takashi motioned them to follow she did.

It didn't take them long to reach the port Takashi was looking for. Sadly, it was crawling with Fire Nation soldiers. "Ok." He began, in a whisper. "We'll find Nina a doctor, and once she's all good, we'll stea-...er.. borrow, one of the smaller ships." He knew Torhu would object to 'stealing' something. It wasn't right, but there realyy was no other way to do it. Takashi was wanted, and there was probably a reward out for capturing members of the royal family. "Follow me." He slid down a small hill and landed silently behind a guard. With a quick jab to the neck, the guard fell, and Takashi moved him out of sight. He spied a tent that looked like what a doctor would travel in, and nodded over to it. "Over there."
OOC Notes
Once the reached the port, Nina was out of breath and had become just a little pale. All the walking really wasn't helping with the pain that radiated from her side. She listened to Takashi explain the plan before following him down the small hill. Once she straigtned up again, Nina winced a bit her gaze looking around. "Are you sure we can even get past them?" She replied to him in a quiet whisper. Fire Nation soilders were literally everywhere. It seemed almost impossible, but she figured they'd come up with a way. Spotting the tent that Takashi motioned to, Nina nodded a bit before looking around. "Lead the way wanted guy." Nina teased a bit, while looking around once more.
OOC Notes
Torhu sighed. Takashi was right in thinking that she didn't like this. Because she didn't. But, she wasn't a fool. As Nine said something, she gave a slight smile and said, "You think a few soilders are going to stop us? Foot soilders have never been very well-trained. Against Takashi and myself? Peice of cake." However, she couldn't help her gut reaction to pull her hood up and look down whenver she thought one of them came too near. Soilders would recognize their princess right away, so this port really wasn't the best to be walking around, especially not for her. But she wasn' about to up and run away, and leave 'Mr. Wanted Man' behind either.
OOC Notes
Takashi slid into the tent that was close by. So far, they hadn't been spotted, but they still needed to find a doctor. He found the medicine man, reading a book in the corner of the tent. "Excuse me." Yes? "I have a friend who fell from a tree and bruised her side. Could you take a look at it?" The doctor was quiet for a moment, before he looked up at Takashi. He merely nodded his head, but it wasn't directed to Takashi. The tent fell apart, exposing them to the everyone on the pier. "Shit!" He jumped behind a boulder as one of the soldiers blasted a fireball towards him. Takashi Hitoshi! Surrender yourself and cooperate peacefully! Or we will use force! He let out an annoyed grunt. "Yeah right! I'm not a moron! You dumbass soldiers don't know what peacefully means!" He turned to look at Torhu and Nina, grinning a bit. "Any ideas?"
OOC Notes
Nina winced as she slid back behind the boulder with Takashi and Torhu. Peeking around the boulder, Nina quickly avoided being singed while looking bac to Takashi. Any ideas? Nina laughed a bit as she tilted her head. "Well, we could do the obvious. Fight our way out, orr I can create a distraction for you two to get out of here. Find another way to the Earth Kingdom." Nina looked around once more tilting her head as a few ideas rushed through her mind. "Unless you have a better idea that is." Her gaze then flickered back to Torhu and Takashi. She knew she was going out on a limb, but she didn't mind. She enjoyed doing things just a bit...dangerous. But she was always up for hearing all options.
OOC Notes
"Distraction? I doubt that'll get us very far. I say we fight." Torhu spoke while watching some of the soldiers. "I doubt we have much else of a choice. There are too many for you to just be on your own. They recognized Takashi, so it's only a matter of time before they recognize me as well. I see one way out: Fight." Torhu was as blunt as ever, and as soldiers came to close in on them from behind, her words became all too true. "Well, Takashi? What do you say?" She stood with her back to his, watching, waiting.
OOC Notes
A smirk came to Takashi's lips as Torhu played off her more stubborn side. "Fight it is then!" He sucked in a deep breathe and jumped up, spewing out a row of flames from his mouth. The flames caught most of the soldiers off guard, and they stumbled back or burned from the flames. One he had finished his little show, he ran up to two of the guards that were still standing. Takashi slid under a spear that was lunged at him and punched the solider hard in the gut. His foot swept the soldier off his feet and onto the ground; while Takashi's hands punched flames at the second guard. He jumped up and side swiped the second soldier, his heel covered in fire, which struck it's target straight in the side of the head. With both down, he turned to the remaining soldiers.
Shit! There's a lot more than I thought.. He ran back over to Nina, helping her a little while shouting. "Torhu! You alright?"

Tohru
The name resonated within the ears of some of the gaurds as they fought they young woman with the dual swords. She was easily cutting them down with her fluid movements, she wasn't even firebending. Then, one of the gaurds recognized the name. "Stop!" He yelled to some of his fellows. Five of them had stopped fighting, to which she did not attack as she finished with the rest. There were still a lot more, and the five guards soon turned on their own men in order to help. When the fighitn finaly ended, at least for a breif moment before others arrived, the five guards fell to their knees, bowing before their princess. "My Lady! Her face was a dangerous and deadly scowl as the five men cowered beneath her blade, and the one of her right whispered, "Please have mercy, Princess Torhu."
The name resonated within the ears of some of the gaurds as they fought they young woman with the dual swords. She was easily cutting them down with her fluid movements, she wasn't even firebending. Then, one of the gaurds recognized the name. "Stop!" He yelled to some of his fellows. Five of them had stopped fighting, to which she did not attack as she finished with the rest. There were still a lot more, and the five guards soon turned on their own men in order to help. When the fighitn finaly ended, at least for a breif moment before others arrived, the five guards fell to their knees, bowing before their princess. "My Lady! "Traitors don't deserve mercy!" A stream of fire shot out from Takashi's fist, which engulfed the five soldiers. He walked over to Torhu and glared at the now burnt corpses. "To think, pawns like them, labeling me a traitor..It's ridiculous." He laughed a little and walked around the docks. The soldiers had all but fled, except for a few he could hear running down towards them. They had two minutes, max, before being swarmed again. "Time to go!" Seeing as Nina was still injured, he scooped the girl up in his arms and ran to one of the smaller vessels.

Nina listened as the two decided it would be best to fight. Though should couldn't do much due to her injury. She helped where she could, taking out at least two of the soilders, though the bit of movement she did cause pain to spread up from her side. Damn..I'm no use here. Nina scowled a bit to herself, though once Takashi came back to her side, she allowed him to help her stand. She was about to yell for Tohru to hurry up though she froze. My Lady! "I know, but it looks like it hurts. You know, you're lucky I know a thing or two about medicine." He joked a bit as they walked ont othe ship. He set her down in a chair on the top deck. Takashi quickly walked through the ship, studying it's interior and how big it was. Three floors. The middle section had the Captain's quarters, the kitchen(fully stocked) and the crew's quarters. The lowest floor held the boat's various components that made it work. The engine, steam room, and a maze of hardware. After finding a small doctor's cabin, Takashi walked back up to the top deck and handed a bag of medicine to Nina. "Put that on your bruise. It should help a until we find a suitable doctor in the earth kingdom." His voice trailed off as he ran to the edge of the ship and cut the rope that tied them to the port.
By now, several more soldiers had arrived, and were shouting at the three of them to return. Takashi smiled and waved to the soldiers, sort of mocking them as the small group sailed away. "Torhu, I need you to go down to the engine room and blast some fire into the furnace. We need to pick up speed, or they'll catch up to us."

Torhu nodded once. "You got it." She headed down, dropping her swords and bag on the deck. She did as told, and stayed down there for about two hours. She wiped sweat from her brow, and then, decided it was time for a break. She sat down, watching the flames dance in the engine.

"It's just a bruise Takashi...It'll heal eventually." Nina replied, smiling as Takashi handed her a bag. She placed it beside her, her hand moving back to her side once more. She remained quiet for a few minutes, watching the two she'd come to travel with. Though, hearing the shouting from the shore, Nina turned to look towards, them, rolling her eyes a bit. "Yeah like we're gonna do that." She mumbled to herself, before looking down to her side. The bruise hurt, yes, but the pain was begining to just become a rather dull ache. Nothing she couldn't handle. Nina lifted her gaze, just in time to see Torhu head down towards the engine rooms. It was then she decided to ask her question.
Standing up slowly she walked around, trying to get rid of the rest of the ache in her side. "Hey Takashi...Why didn't anyone tell me Torhu was the Fire Nation princess?" She tilted her head a bit as she looked to the male, brushing a lock of hair out of her eyes.

[OOC] NPCs
The NPCs will mostly be out of the main storyline, and away from everyone else doing something:
Aang:
Aang has a serious side as well as a fun, type of wild side. His childish schemes still run strong, despite his age. He cares for the world greatly, and has accepted his duties as avatar, helping as many people as he can. Aang has mastered each element as well as the avatar state, and is a full fledged avatar. He is headed for the Fire Nation capital to confront Len Fer.
Katara:
Katara is a master waterbender. She has a kind heart, but spunky personality. She doesn't take kindly to insults, and tries her best to prove that, even though she's a woman, she can do anything she sets her mind to. Katara is currently at the Southern Air Temples, raising her children while Aang is away.
Sokka:
Sokka is a hard headed, sarcasticly funny, and over all decent guy. He is an incredibly skilled swordsman, and is the leader of the Southern Water Tribe. He has sent some men to help aid Aang, but has stayed behind to protect his Tribe.
Toph:
Toph is a hot headed girl with a fiesty personality. Though she's blind, she is still a master earthbender, and has become famed in the Earth Kingdom as one of the best teachers alive. She knows Zuko would never do anything as crazy as world domination, and so has begun to gather earthbenders who also agree with her. She plans to leave the kingdom of Ba Sing Se to help Aang, but is trapped in the walls by the King, who does not wish her to bother with the matters of the outside world.

Zuko is a short tempered man who thinks actions speak louder than words. Although, his more fierce side has calmed down throughout the years, he still has a firey temper, and tends to get frustrated rather easily. For the most part though, he is a calm man who puts his country first. Sadly, Zuko's whereabouts are unknown, and he has yet to make a move.
