Introduction
only when people make eye contact can a vampire influence someones mind, unless the vampire is over 3,000 years old. Which should not be allowed.
vampires are always harmed by holy water. it leaves scars.
Vampires are always hurt by crosses. they burn, and also leave scars, much like the holy water. crosses must be silver, to be effective.
a stake through the heart, kills a vampire. end of story.
daylight, kills a vampire. end of story.
silver hurts, but isn't necessarily fatal. destruction of the head, by silver bullets can kill a vampire, but anything other than silver, and the vampire will heal nearly instantly. even silver wounds heal, but slower.... a silver bullet wound to the arm should completely heal for a 150 year old vampire in one hour.
a vampire can burn to death as well, if engulfed in fire,
(I expect common sense here people.)
vampires can hypnotize people, but only with eye contact. the older the vampire, the stronger the psychic ability. no telekenesis, just the power of suggestion.
more may be added later.
Were-creatures;
Can choose human form, or were form, at any time, (except the full moon. where the lycan is forced into the were-form)
were creatures (lycanthropes) can be a were-rat, werewolf, were-cat (large predatory mammal types) (anything else should be run by me before put in play. )
obviously, silver causes an extreme allergic reaction, and silver bullets are deadly when taken in the head, or chest. crosses however, (unless they are silver, have no effect.)
Lycans heal faster than humans, but slower than vampires, they are extremely tough, but a bullet would to the arm still takes about 4 days to heal. (that's a REGULAR bullet. not a silver one. silver wounds heal at a slightly SLOWER rate than humans)
when i say werewolf. i don't mean like in twilight. I mean half-man half-wolf. BEASTS. Just wanted to clarify that.
Animators,
Are much like regular humans, save that they can Raise the dead.
they also have built in resistance to the vampire's psychic powers. (they arent immune.... they just have a greater resistance.)
they have the ability to sense the difference between a vampire, and the living. always.
raising the dead requires a living sacrifice, if the corpse is less than 20 years old, a chicken may be used, between 20-60, a goat must be used, and so on and so forth. older the corpse, the bigger the sacrifice needed.
once raised, the zombie needs blood smeared on its lips to be coherent.unless said zombie is exceptionally old, and needs to actually drink blood. (must be human, living blood.) the zombie will then be coherent enough to speak... but must be bound to his grave, otherwise it would be free to roam and eat people. no one wants that.)
Human Servants.
Older vampires, may leave marks on a human... nothing visible... but in their soul. the first mark makes them tougher...faster.... and a little harder to kill. it also establishes a psychic link between them (the vampire and the human servant.) the second mark nearly doubles this effect, the third mark, even more so. with the fourth, and last mark, the two are irrevocably bonded. the human servant gains immortality (that rivals the vampire.) the human servant can still walk in daylight, but is much much stronger, and tougher than normal humans. the stronger the vampire, the stronger the servant.only vampires over 500 years old can do this, they are known as Master vampires.
Human servants are not to be taken lightly, each Master can only have one servant. and that servant must be extremely loyal, because the servant is trusted with the daytime resting place of the vampire. and could easily kill it in its sleep.
more may be added later.
the most powerful vampire in the area, is known as the master of the city. this vampire has jurisdiction and rule over all vampires in the city.
the year is 2010, The united states has recently passed laws granting supernatural beings legal status; now protected under the law, the undead have come out of hiding, and now walk amongst the living, running night clubs, throwing parties, getting jobs, and trying to live life.... sort of.

Re: [OOC] The Laughing Corpse
I am interested, is there a specific character sheet you would like me to follow when creating a character?
