Huan Peng

"Hey doll face, why don't you saunter over here and have me burn that smile off your face?"

a character in “The Legend of Korra: Benders Unite”, as played by Fredalice

Description

Name: Huan Peng
Code Name: Fire Fairy
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Bending: Fire-bender

Appearance: Image
Huan has shoulder length, straight black hair that usually just hangs down and in her face. She has big, round, golden eyes, what she got from her Fire Nation heritage, that seem to gleam even in the dark. Her face is a soft oval shape that don thin lips and a simple smile. She's 5' 6" in height and seeming to be nothing but skin and bones no matter how much she eats; and though her silhouette is thin it does bear some curves. She's well built in the muscular department and this only makes people, especially guys, slightly intimidated by her. During the day and for casual wear, she'll wear very sacky clothes that seem to be two sizes too big; a tan pull-over shirt, a dark brown and loose vest, baggy brown pants, and lace-up leather boots. When she goes out on the job, however, she wear tightly fitted clothes; a black long-sleeved shirt with a black leather lace-up stomach corset, black leather gloves and face mask, well fitted pair of black pants, and a black leather trench coat (this is what's in the picture). For formal wear she prefers to keep things simple, wearing only a simple red, wrap-around dress that's knee-length and has only one sleeve. She also wears a a necklace with a simple chain and rectangular gold pendant with the words "Stay strong" inscribed on it, she never takes this necklace no matter what.

Personality: Huan is very care free and whimsical and seems to be rather innocent and childish, though one should never believe this when encountering her because at her best she'll humiliate you and at her worst she'll kill you. She's been described as a "Fire Fairy", one that would seem pleasant to be around, but is hazardous to your health. She is, however, very loyal to those who have past her many tests and will act as if your life is the most important. On one end of the spectrum she is energetic, playful, and generally fun to be around. She's easy to get along with, cocky, loves to laugh, and spontaneous. She'll drag you along to go with her on adventures that may not be the safest, but will leave people in a state of wonder. On the other end, however, she can be violent, sadistic, and heartless. She can kill you without blinking or shedding a tear. She'll show you no mercy under any circumstances and acts as if a dark spirit has taken over her. When in this state she can be sly, seductive, and yet still cocky. People who have heard stories of this side of her hope and pray never to see it themselves, because if you do you'll wind up dead or so near death you go insane. These are her two parts, and rarely does she go in between; sometimes the changes between the two is so rapid it leaves people stunned. She is always cocky and has the street attitude to match. She has a series of tests for people who think they want to be friends with her, this is to keep herself safe from getting hurt emotionally, but it usually leaves her in a very lonely place. Huan may seem very out-going and an open-book, but she has more walls and masks for everybody that sometimes even she doesn't realize just how alone and skeptical of everyone she really is. She does love music, especially the flute and this will be the thing she goes to in times of emotional distress.
Quirks: She calls people "doll face", she slurps her tea loudly, she tends to wander even in the middle of conversations, and she'll sharpen her sword at the oddest and not the most appropriate times.
Weaknesses: She can't control her emotions, she isn't very stealthy rather liking the spotlight, she'll go looking for danger, she isn't careful (unless it's with people getting too close to her, in which case she's too careful), and she doesn't trust anybody
Strengths: She's strong both physically and mentally, she keeps herself at a distance from other people, she knows how to act in certain situations (how serious the situation is and such), she'll never turn her back on those who have gained her trust, and she is good at impromptu fighting and planning.
Fears: getting hurt emotionally, small places (though she can breath through it if she has to be in one), being betrayed, and lightning (though she's a Fire-bender she refuses to learn how to bend lightning)

History: She was born into a rather poor family, her dad being a Fire bender and her mother being of Fire Nation decent, though a non-bender herself. She was the only child they ever had and they all loved each other very much. Though they lived in little more than a shack on the streets of Republic City, Huan never once complained and actually helped out more than more children of her age would. Whenever her parents would get sick, she would not only take care of them, but herself as well. This made her grow up fast and be strong. The necklace she always wears was passed down from her great grandmother to her grandmother to her mother and then to her. It's because in her family the women would always learn how to fight and take care of themselves in the chance that the husband would die. In Huan's case, both her parents died, ironically in a fire that was started by lightning. Her father was knocked out and mother tied down and then her home was set a blaze by a gang whose territory was not too far away, and though Huan was a decent Fire-bender she everything she did wouldn't control the fire and only seemed to make matter worse. This is when Huan's other side was born; she hunted down those people and killed them with no mercy of a girl of 15. After that night she had to find herself a new home, one that was safely out of view and unknown. She brought with her only a few mementos of her family, her necklace and her father's Xiao, flute, which he would play to her every night to help her go to sleep.

For the next three years, Huan would be living in an old attic and making the name "Fire Fairy" for herself. She would scare off any gang members who got too close, giving them no second chances, while everyone else got one warning. Living on the streets would make her ragged and a rogue; wild and untamed. Only orphans and urchins on the streets would ever come close to her having her trust and see her as a human and not a "fairy", monster, or wild animal. When she was 16 she met a woman who would indeed gain her trust. It started off with the woman, Chen, giving Huan food and supplies she needed to survive, then it escalated to Chen offering Huan to live at her home with her. They became good friends each loving each other as a sister, or rather Huan loving Chen as a sister. Chen only saw Huan as a tool and used her to get information off the streets and steal jewels from women whom she was jealous of. Huan didn't find this out until a year after her thinking she loved her. This hurt Huan more than she could say and because of Chen, Huan would spiral into a pit that she would not be able to get out of alone. Chen is the reason for Huan's distrust and for her tests. And what happened to Chen, people will shake their heads in sadness because Huan tortured her so much the night she found out that Chen went so crazy that they had to kill her so she wouldn't hurt others.

Now, Huan is back living in her attic, alone.

Fighting style: When Huan strikes it's with quick and cheap shots that she learned off of the street. She's not scared to break some bones and spray some blood, in fact she's not scared to finish what she most likely started, by killing the person. Though she may use cheap shots, her Fire-bending is very skilled and mastered, so much so it looks like a drunk could do what she does (which she sometimes will be when fighting), but she uses the technique of the 'The Drunken Monkey', this being her signature move. Another reason for her title, "Fire Fairy", is because of the speedy attacks she uses, the tricks she plays, and the fast dodging she does.

Huan Peng walked down the street, the night had befallen on Republic City and now all those who had hid from the eyes during the day, were starting to scamper out; Huan was one of them. This is when most of the crime in Republic City happened, when people thought it would be okay to terrorize others and break all the laws that Toph Bei Fong had set to keep everyone safe, Huan Peng was no exception. Though she might try justifying her actions with comments about how she did give the innocent one warning while the "bad guys" didn't get any, she was still a thief, a killer, and a street dweller.

She walked down the dark allies, her movements casual as if she were walking to the market on a Sunday afternoon instead of into an ominous black alley at night. She started a small fire in her hand to see her way through so she wouldn't trip over any debris. The shadows around her flickered into the shapes of the monsters in bed-time stories, but Huan ignored and continued on her way. Her destination was a restaurant not too far from her attic and threw away some pretty good food; her stash of food was running low so she was hoping to refill it.

As she approached the restaurant she walked around a few prodigiously dressed couples, whom sneered at her ragged clothing, and went for the dumpster. There she perched herself on the edge and began to pull out apples and half eaten food that was still in boxes and put them in her empty sack. While she did so, many people walked by and watched her with disgust clearly written on their faces, though Huan didn't care because they were ignorant of what it was like to live like she did. Then she heard a chuckle behind her. When she looked up she saw a gang member and two goons leaning against the wall behind her.

"I see food is a little scarce for you," he said, then added, "Fire Fairy." His smirk was enough to set her off, nevermind the fact that he was in a gang and was purposefully taunting her.

"Good, you know who I am," she said dropping her bag in the dumpster and jumping down, "Then you'll know all too well, doll face, that I give no mercy to those who are dumb enough to try and provoke me."

"Yeah I know you, and I know I can take you on," the man said, arrogance just oozing in his voice, "Fire Fairy or not, all you benders better watch it now that Amon is here."

"Oh, Amon again? That guy sure has a mouth with nothing to back it up," Huan crouched down ready to jump, run, or do whatever was needed. Seeing that she was getting ready to attack the guy snapped his fingers and and the two goons charged at her with what looked to be electrical rods. They swung the rods at her and she dodged them easily, striking out thin spears of fire at them. They were hit, but kept coming back and now the gang member came after her with a glove. While she danced out of the way of the two goons the other managed to grab her with the glove and electrocute her. She went down, the guy laughing hysterically.

"The great Fire Fairy down with just the touch of a glove! Wait till Amon hears the they work!" he howled. Huan snarled at the guy, her blood starting to boil and her sight going red. She stood up, no snappy come back, just murder shining in her eyes. The guy saw this, but just smiled and held up the glove.

"Want to try again?" he asked. Huan shot a large wall of fire at him, and he and his goons all got chard, but still they proceeded towards her. She jumped and snaked through them, staying away from any metal in the alley and trying to stay out of their way. Then they all attacked at once and all three electrocuted her. This time she went down and stayed down. A Sotamobile suddenly stopped and the three men and Huan disappeared into the back. It squealed off leaving a chard alley behind them, of course this would be no cause for alarm especially since it was night.
____

Huan woke up disoriented in the back of the Sotamobile, everything a little blurry and seeming to be far away. The three gang members didn't even look down at the tied up Huan as she slowly recovered her consciousness. The car bumped along, causing Huan to jump back to full consciousness. She looked around quickly formulating a plan of escape, then without double checking to make sure it'll work, she set off. She jumped up, thankfully finding they didn't tie up her feet or legs, and kicked a strong gust of fire at the men that were in the back with her. They were all knocked out from the heat that the back now held, a metal box filled with a flaming fairy. She continued her montage of throwing fire around, she worked up a sweat, but continued; being a fire-bender one must be able to take in vast amounts of heat.

Eventually the car tipped to the side, Huan was throwing into what used to be the roof of the car and then onto the ground, the car crashed into a nearby store. The driver in the front starting to be mind boggled by the heat that was now seeping into the front. Thinking the car was on fire the driver quickly jumped out and ran for it. Sirens could be heard in the distance as Huan began to run against the door of the back trying to pry it open. The doors would bend, but they remained shut. She then tried throwing fire at it hoping that the heat would either make it burst open or that the metal would melt. The sirens were getting closer, the doors wouldn't open, and now the men in the back were starting to awaken; and to think all Huan wanted was some food from the dumpster.

"Get back!" someone yelled from the other side of the door, not knowing what the person was going to do Haun stopped fire bending and stood back, the goons starting to wake up again. Then the door was pulled open, Huan stood in awe as she realized that the person was metal bending. Then one of the goons grabbed her ankle and pulled her down trying to electrocute with his rod again. He pulled her down and lunged towards her, his rod at the ready. She quickly kicked him the stomach with a sharp burst of fire before scrambling to her feet as the other two began to show signs of consciousness.

"Get out of there. You're going to get hurt. Hurry!" the person who opened the doors said again. She finally got to her feet and ran towards the entrance. As she passed the metal bender she turned back towards him, looped her still tied hands around his neck and gave a good pull before taking them away so she could run again.

"Come on or those men'll get you too!" she yelled at him. She really didn't care if he listened or not, but she figured he would need all the facts to make a decision. She passed a girl in a onesie that looked like a panda bear, this made her stop mid-stride and stare at her for a couple of seconds before resuming her running when she noticed the driver staring intently at her. Huan quickly went into a nearby alley and hid above on window ledge. She stayed there, looking out at the crowd keeping track of the driver and anybody else who would look like they wanted to kidnap her.

Huan sat on the ledge attempting to cut the binding on her wrists off with a small pointed flame of fire, only her hands were shaking and she couldn't quite cut the rope right she sighed and looked back towards the rider who was fitting one of those electric gloves onto his hand, getting ready to attack her when he got the chance.

"I should've known getting electrocuted five times would do this," she said to herself looking back at her shaking hand. Then the metal bender who opened the door appeared in front of her on a floating rock.

"Why hello," he said and then a big creature made of rock jumped on him, causing him to fall to the ground. She quickly leaped down to him, annoyance at him causing a big scene that would lead the driver to her, and yet she couldn't help being distracted by the rock creature.

"Thanks for the escape, but you don't have to follow me doll face. I can take care of myself you know," she said rather sharply. Her eyes kept flickering to the rock creature by his side. She may be slightly pissed at the guy causing so much noise drawing attention to her, but she was curious what this creature was supposed to be. It looked like a Grizzly Wolf, but it was made out of rock. Finally she just had to ask, "So what is tha-" she was cut off as two more people showed up, the girl that had been in the onsie, but not just looked ragged and dirty and some guy.

"Who the Hell are you two?" Huan all but yelled, "And what's turned my escape into a fucking tea party?!?!" While looking at the two new comer she saw the driver look to her and with a grin called to somebody she couldn't see. She felt her blood steam up, these people were going to get her killed or experimented on with no apparent reason.

"Well now you've done it," she snapped at the others, "If you're going to follow fine, but keep the ruckus to a minimum alright?" she then turned and ran down a series of alley-ways at what seemed to be randomly chosen. Finally they came upon an old building, what used to be a theater. She ran inside and stopped when she reached the stage. She had been keeping an eye on this spot and places around it, thinking about making a scene change from her current living arrangements to here.

Huan noticed that the metal bender had indeed followed her. "Nice place. Is it yours?" he asked, he made it a joke though Huan sighed because she was thinking about making it her's.

"Maybe, I still need to do some security checks, but I hope so," she answered under her breath. She did rather like this place; it was out of the way, it was big and had many hiding places within it, and she had always wanted to admired the stage being dramatic as she was. A strange young boy then walked onto the stage, the metal bender greeted her which annoyed her as this was going to be her place not his. Then some pigeons flew out a window making Huan smiled. She always admired how free birds were and how calming they made a place seem as if she wasn't alone.

Apparently the metal didn't agree as he cussed and threw a rock at them, "Geez, doll face there's no need for that," she said to him calmly. Then turning to the new comer, "So who are you and why the hell are you in my home," she said crossing her arms. She made a split decision that this place would indeed be her new home, she would figure out the security stuff later, but she couldn't pass up the opportunity of living here.

"What's the deal? Why have you busted in here?" she directed this question at the young boy who had just recently came in. This night was just filled with surprises and hurt.

Kaiya stayed unsure of leaving or being nosy then she noticed the bruises and cuts on Ling. "Oh my, here let me help." Kaiya took the bottle from her hip and bend the water around the cuts, healing them. "I'm Kaiya, a water bender, but that was pretty obvious." After she finished, she turned back to the group. "You're more than welcome to stay in my place, I mean, it can't be comfortable or warm in here." She shrugged to the group. "Honestly, I won't mind."

Huan just looked at the boy as she showed them his cuts and bruises with a calm face, honestly she had had much worse every week. This fact irritated her because there was never any water-bender to heal her when she was bleeding out so much she was loosing consciousness and this boy with only a few scratches was getting someone to fawn over him like he was just in a terrible accident. Then she saw the metal-bender raise his arms as if he were lifting something heavy and ran up behind him and shoved his arms down.

"That's enough!" she yelled, "This is my home and if I want something changed, I can do it myself. This place is perfectly fine the way it is!" She was getting a little tired of these people invading her home, it was supposed to be a secure place to come to, to get away from anybody that might harm her and now here stood potential dangerous people all of whom now new where she lived. They were even talking about moving in and re-making it to make it more homey. 'It's homey enough the way it is,' Huan thought scathingly.

Huan turned to the man that had just stumbled in and whom had mentioned about being attacked and followed by equalists. "You didn't bring them here did you? Because I'd rather not get kidnapped by them again in one night," she said, it was less harsh than she intended, but still rather rude. She didn't really keep track of those who were leaving, they left and that's all that mattered. However, that little boy that had gotten beaten up left some money at her feet. Even though she didn't like excepting favors all too much, she knew she needed the money; besides that little boy didn't seem like he wanted the money or was coming back for it. She picked up the purse, which was decently heavy, and hooked it to her belt.

Those who were left were the new comer with the equalists on his back and a very disheartened girl, though she was leaving. Huan could also sense someone else's eyes on her, but she would let it slide, just this once. Instead she turned to the girl; her angry mood that had originally been triggered by the gang that bagged her and had been fueled by the crowd that seemed insistent on following her, was being to die down back to a small flame instead of a roaring fire.

"Why so gloomy doll face?" she said with a slight cock of her head, "These people not to your liking?"

Kaiya finished and stood in the finishing move for a few more seconds, the water whips twisted around her before collapsing onto the snow. Kaiya stood breathing for awhile before heading back down to the City. When she got there, she couldn't get a single taxi so she had to walk for a few minutes before finding a taxi. "Can you take me to the abandoned Theatre?" The driver looked at her. "Is their a meeting today?" Kaiya shook her head and looked at the driver. "What meeting?" The driver laughed. "The equalist meetings." Kaiya gasped and looked out the window. "Can you just take me there, please." She sighed before resting her head on the window. She paid the driver and watched him drive away. She sighed and made her way down the alleyway, she stopped at the side door and thought about warning the girl but thought aloud, "She probably already knows." before continuing to her house. She had a quick bath before changing into something nice before heading back out. She looked up and sighed before walking to the restaurant. "Kaiya." She heard someone call to her, she looked around to see her Dad approaching her. "What do you want?" She sighed not looking at him. "I just wanted to see how you were."Kaiya shook her head with a little laugh."I have nothing to say to you."She looked into the restaurant and could she her friends and walked over to them, leaving her Dad standing outside.

Takai dared to sneak further, noticing that the "Prey" was leaving the place.
"This will cost my neck....Ah well I'm in..." He decided to literally stalk the woman.
Slippy like a squid Takai moved from wall to wall, from barrels to barrels, trying to maintain his cover.
Soon,He discovered that he isn't one of the best covert-operation agents: not once he tripped over various obstacles, hoping that she wouldn't hear the concert.
He looked again, recognizing a secondary girl nearby.
"Bad....no turning back" Takai thought, just before stomping on an hole."Dang...the cat fell in the mouse hole!"
Takai smiled at that thought: it was a famous sentence in the various tomes he read.
He decided that it was enough covered....he doesn't like beign silent or ignored. He checked Guang and Yami in case violence was the only option.
"Ahr...I'm stuck....an hand or two and I'm out" The hole was deeper than he thought."Please"

The messy girl Huan was talking to suddenly turned around and yelled back to the off-stage area and ran over, having her form be swallowed completely in the blackness of the shadows so Huan couldn't see her. Huan rolled her eyes, this girl seemed innocent enough, though she got the sense she was also loyal like a polar bear dog. She smiled and walked over to where they were, though stopped mid-stride when she heard an echoing thump from above in the rafters.

Huan tried to see if there was anybody up there, but much like off-stage where polar bear dog girl was it was in complete shadow. "We're being watched," she muttered to herself. She just stood there looking at the rafters, waiting for the person to show themselves; and she knew that when they did she would need to get out of here quickly because this person wasn't even close to being a friend. Finally, after what seemed like an hour of waiting, the person dropped down apparently realizing that Huan was not going to look away for him to have his sneak attack he had planned.

This man wasn't an Equalist or part of any gang, just another vulture wanting to fight to the death for this place. Of course, after hearing the polar bear dog girl say that this was a regular spot of Equalists to meet, he could have it for all she cared. Though she was more than disappointed that her new home would not be an old abandoned theater like she had wanted. When this guy landed in front of Huan he took the stance of a fire-bender. 'So a death match with fire, huh?' Huan thought as she too took her stance as well. Though unlike this man's, who was sturdy and strong, his hands flat and pointed at her as was traditional for a fire-bender; Huan took an unusual twist to that stance. She was much more relaxed, her body swaying slightly giving off that she was unbalanced and easy to knock down, and her wrists were slightly bent and her fingers spread apart. Huan could tell just by looking in this guy's eyes that he was laughing and thinking she would be too easy to take down.

"Really need to work on your technique girly," the man said, now so confident that he was going to win that, "Using that stance you could easily be knocked down!" At this he struck out at her sending a blast of fire, but because Huan's stance was so loose it made it easier to dodge it. The man kept lashing out and Huan literally danced out of the way of the fire. Soon she was right on top of him, quite literally. She was balanced on his head with one hand holding her up and another in a fist.

"So you think my technique needs work, huh doll face?" she said and smiled briefly before punching him square in the face, knocking him out out completely. As his body fell she pushed off and flipped back into a standing position, from this she twirled around to where the other two were.

"It seems this place isn't as safe as I thought. If you want to continue our conversation or start one, you may follow, but otherwise I would like it if you left me alone," with that she walked passed them and out of the theater and with nowhere else really to go she fancied a walk along the beach. It was a long quiet walk, she didn't really bother with checking to see if the other two had indeed followed her, and quiet; well as quiet as a city can get even if it was early morning. While on the beach she took off her boots and let them hang loosely in her hand, she loved walking bare-foot especially in in the sand. That's when she saw an arena type building that looked as though chaos was happening in. People were running out in large crowds with ominous looking men guarding the outside, some even shot at those who were trying to escape.

"Damn these bastards are everywhere," she muttered to herself. She ran for the building, leaping quietly over some fences and making it in without anybody noticing. When inside she saw Equalists everywhere and attacking three benders on the arena stage. One, the one that had saved her from the truck, was there pushing people over into the water pit below left and right.

Huan noticed a movement to her left and saw a masked person trying to sneak up at her. She just slumped to one hip as if this person was nothing to her, not even a threat, and truthfully in her eyes they were nothing to her. "It seems your security could you a little work," she said pretending to pay more attention to her nails than this person whom was still advancing, "I'm mean any dirty little rat could just waltz in here." The person then lashed out sending a metallic whip like weapon in her direction, she also noticed it was glowing with electricity. She quickly jumped into where the chairs were, ducking down slightly.

"Oh wait a dirty rat just did sneak in here!" she called out.

After thoroughly knocking out the one Equalist who had cornered into the stands she quickly dodged the other attacks that were being shot her way by flips over and on the back of the chairs that were around. She soon found herself at the edge of where the audience sit, which was also the edge of that platform before it dropped off into the large pool of water. Huan just barely caught herself from falling into and swung back onto dry land, she internally laughed at her reaction thinking she was very much a feline
like person if she would avoid water like this.

Huan couldn't muse on this thought very long though as Equalists soon realized that she was the elusive "Fire Fairy" and so started to attack her with more force. She was able to find a place to duck out of the way while she searched for an escape route and found that the people on the fighters' platform seemed to be doing rather well for themselves; the only problem was how to get over there. Instead o thinking this through though, Huan just ran as far and fast as she could and jumped, blasting a huge gust of fire behind her to shoot her to the stage and amazingly enough, it worked. Though her land was less than graceful.

Blasts of fire, water, and earth were shooting in almost all directions as Huan got up and dusted herself off; it was a little overwhelming having this many people attacking each other around her. Normally she was just used to five against her and even still she was used to just her being the target. She didn't know what to do when you were the only target, but she didn't have to contemplate on this too much longer because soon she found herself the target again, or at least on of the targets. It seemed two Equalists had taken a liking to taking her down and were now zip-lining over to her. She really could have just blasted them off right there and then, but a part of her was wanting some action and a little bit of a challenge. When they landed they wasted no time in attacking her, right away they both charged at her; one with electric rods and the other with two swords. She ducked and flipped, landing on her attackers. This was one move she loved, especially with more than one attacker because then one of the attackers would try to hit her and end up hurting his friend. Only this time wasn't like that, these people were smarter than she thought. So she started to use her bending, using just the usual blasts, attempting to make them trip and push them back into the water, but again they just moved around her making her the one facing the fall. Huan sighed in frustration and pulled out her worst tricks of the trade; these people were taking all the fun out beating them, though she did want a bit of a challenge, so it wasn't completely there fault.

After the first dance the two Equalists had concluded that the Fire Fairy was just some punk-ass kid on the street who really wasn't all that good at bending, though they had no idea what was coming. She still continued her dance looking technique, though this time she would grab their hands and burn them till the weapons dropped. This surprised the Equalists, but they had a few tricks up their sleeves as well and now they could see they had be hassled, but were now ready for the famous Fire Fairy. The three fought with speed and dancing, bursts of fire coming out of the twisting circle the three had made, making it look like a choreographed dance with special effects, but inside it was completely different. Inside, for the actual fighters, it was a competition of who could beat whom first, who would be the first to break. All three were panting and sweating, but none were planning on giving up, not until one of the Equalists knocked Huan down and then both pointed their weapons at her, an electric rod at her stomach and a knife at her throat. One of them grabbed her hair and yanked hard and both of the attackers thought the fight was over and they had one.

Huan had a hard time sitting still and letting the girl heal her, in one way she was grateful, but this was covered up almost completely by a feeling that it was cheating against her immune system. Then not only that, but the girl picked her up and and 'carried' her off of the platform, making Huan have to bite her tongue as she felt the humiliation at having been helped across grow. The girl then apologized, but not for helping someone who didn't want or really need her help, but rather for not planning out their escape.

"The best plans are the ones not thought through, anybody would know that," Huan said under her breath rather rudely. Then she noticed a girl who seemed vaguely familiar, but she couldn't quite put her finger on it, being held by her cloak by a rather large man. 'Oh please, I can take him,' Huan thought to herself as she got up and sauntered over, staying to the shadows and out of the man's line of sight. Then she sneaked up behind him, putting her finger to her lips so the girl wouldn't make a noise then heated her one of her hands up till it was glowing a soft red. 'Red hot and ready burn,' she thought to herself. She then grabbed the man's face, burning the imprint of her hand onto his skin. The man screamed in agony, letting go of the cloak and falling backwards, clutching his face.

Huan blew at her hand as it cooled down, "The mark of the Fire Fairy is one many a man will get before they die. You've just been marked for death my friend," she said cooly, "How does it feel knowing you're about to die?" The man then growled and lunged for her, she dodge still maintaining her cool facade.

"Angry then?" she asked, he lunged again, though this time when she dodged she grabbed the girls hand and ran, pulling the girl behind her until they came to a dark corner where they could hide safely for a little before escaping.

"Well that was fun wasn't it?" Huan mused, mostly to herself, but also to the girl a little, as she looked down the hallway a smile on her lips as if she were about to start laughing. Nothing excited or alighted Huan more than good old fashioned danger.
