A male Gerudo who hides his identity, so that he may eventually claim his birthright.
Name: Vergad
Age: 22
Gender: Male
Race: Gerudo
Rank: Personal warrior for High Priestess Mamuuru, Future King of Gerudo.
Description: Very tall, standing at 6'6'', with a fairly muscular build. As with all Gerudo, he shows the normal traits of dark red hair, dark skin, and bright, piercing gold eyes. He wears dark red and black armor with a crimson cloak around his mouth. His armor is sand worn, yet still looks intimidating. Even though he is young, he has the presence of a leader, which others can see when they are with him.
Vergad is calm and quiet, with a strong demeanor, making him hard to read. He shows no mercy to his enemies, and kindness to his allies. In combat he is one to never rush, always trying to seek out an enemies weakness and use it against them, ending any conflict quickly. He is also a brilliant strategist, capable of winning battles with minimum casualties.
Vergad wields a large and heavy zweihander with an onyx blade engraved with rubies. Also, attached to his left arm is a modified hook shot with a sharpened blade made for combat purposes, which can hook into enemies and slam them into the ground or other objects. If it comes down to it he can also cast wind magics, such as creating sharp gusts of wind or summoning a sandstorm to hide his and others movements. In battle he relies on his strength as a Gerudo male, using his large sword with ease and expertise, quickly defeating opponents.
It is said that every one hundred years a male is born to the Gerudo, and that he will be their king. However, the time came when a second male was born in the hundred year period. Vergad's birth brought confusion to the Gerudo Tribe, until Gandondorf ordered that he and the mother be slain, lest he grow to be a threat. So it came to be that minions of the Dark King attacked the home where they stayed, killing the mother and gravely injuring a young Vergad, leaving him among the flames of his home. It had seemed as though Ganondorf had rid himself of a boy who could have grown to become a threat.
Yet the boy had lived, and has since become a wanderer of the world, hiding his appearance behind a cloak. Over his travels he has learned much about the other races, the art of swordplay, and other various things. He was still young when he heard about the fall of Ganondorf, and the coming of peace. He also knew that if he were to return as he was now, he would be unable to become a suitable ruler, so as such he continued his travels, strengthening his body and his mind. When the new evil arose however, he had heard that his tribe had come under control once again by a dark force.
With his mind troubled he knew it was time to return to his people and save them. However, he knew that his sudden appearance would bring chaos and would most likely be saw as some sort of trick, ending in his death. He decided to continue hiding his identity, serving under the current High Priestess of the Gerudo Tribe, Mamuuru, one of the few people in Hyrule who knew of his true identity, until the time was right to reveal his identity and claim his birthright. He would earn the trust of his people, and lead them into a new era of peace between them and the other races of Hyrule, one that would bring a new age of prosperity.
