[b]Brief bio: James immigrated to New York with his parents when he was 15. His father was a gambler and a loan shark, and his mother was a tailor. While growing up in Hells Kitchen, he found himself hanging out with the notorious westies. He had ran a small illegal gambleing operation for the westies until one day, there was a shootout in a westie-owned bar. A few Italian mobsters tryed to take the bar over but a westie member shot one of the Italians and everything went chaotic from their. James, had hid behind a pool table with one of his friends while the shooting was going on. When everything was over James ran home to his parents and told them about it. They left the next day for Harlem. Harlem had just as more volence as hells kitchen. But, there were lots of gambleing operations going on there so, it was like a gold mine for James and his father.

When James was 18, he figured out that he could get more money from bootlegging. He opened up his own bootlegging operations and soon it would grow. When James was 21 he decided to open up his own nightclub with the his friends and the achohol they made. The nightclub was a big success. But he soon saw there were mobsters wanting to take over the club, rivel nightclub owners, and police. So, he bought two guns to protect himself and he hired guards for his nightclub. Now he trys to keep police away from his bootlegging operations and his nightclub. Sometimes if James desperatly needs money he`ll proform a hit.

-blinks- Whoah. The End. It's actually...finished. I'm amazed...and excited for the sequel! I'm sorry for kind of...disappearing for these last few weeks. Between school, and homework, and everything else that comes back with a vengeance in the fall...I sort of gave roleplaying a break. But I'm back, and ready for Life After Noir. And Marty's come with me! =D Not sure about Polina, yet...but I'll ponder. And once again, I apologize for falling off the face of the earth...again.

I will think about it....at lot while I'm at work, after I have reserved a place in the new OOC.

Life After Noir (OOC) is up!

Yay! Loved the final post, Jade! Obviously, Ben will be returning (along with the minor characters of Missy, Doug and Edison) but I quite fancy making another charrie, perhaps a younger female (Italian?) character.

And it's a shame you felt that way, Irish. Perhaps you could write Patrick out of the sequel (maybe he lives happily-ever-after with Brigit and create a new charrie who could be a bit more involved?

You know Jade, I tried to get Patrick into the game more this time but he still felt more like a reoccurring NPC then a real character. I;m not sure if I;m going to sign up for the sequel.

Acidpops: This RP has just recently had its final post. There will, however, be a sequel, set seven years after the first one. If you are interested, whip up a character (using the cool new character tab at the top of the site) and be prepared!

That being said, what did you guys think? I hope you enjoyed the final post. Are you psyched for the sequel? Any last minute questions, comments or concerns? I'll post the OOC for the sequel soon.

Completely understandable, Northern. It's been kind of the same for me XD I've been working on a big project, plus working again...meh, but we can't just leave this baby stranded in the water!

Arg! OK, I'm just gonna help finish this as best I can and we can all get on with things. I won't be able to get a proper post in until tomorrow, though. Sorry- things have been a little hectic.

Hey folks

So, as you may have noticed...erm...everyone seems to have vacated the presence.

Now, I imagine that everyone is still into this game...but is just ready to move on to the sequel, eh?

I had originally intended on moving forward here and wrapping up things like...the strangler...and other things...but I think now that the better move would be to leave those things unanswered until the next gap, and then conclude it there.

The way things have been going, it looks like this story could be wrapped up by just a few of us. Then we could take a break, and then start up again after the seven year leap.

Simply because it has already been a LONG time, I am going to put up a 'no holds barred' proclamation as far as posting goes. When you can post at all, do it.

Wonderful day. Sorry to all and any who have tried talking to Remy. I've kinda been everywhere and nowhere at the same time. And I probably will be until school starts up again. Just say Remy has disappeared for unknown reasons that he wouldn't make privy if anyone mentions him.

Just so's you all know, starting tomorrow at Noon MST I go back to work ;^; That means that for about nine hours I will be away, behind a bakery counter somewhere, making munnies. I have Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday off, though (at least for now) and after that we'll see what my schedule is like...but I'm just letting you know =D Not that we've had much action in the IC thread lately...odd...
