Myddrin jogged over to Dani and grabbed her arm, activating her phasing power.
Turning, she started to drag the girl back the way they were originally going, not paying attention to see if the girl was starting to sink into the ground or not. So far as Myddrin cared, if she couldn't keep herself afloat then let her sink. Myddrin was frowning, thinking about the fact that now that she had used her powers on this girl and gotten involved with them, not only was she stuck with them, but while Dani was phased with her she could hit, kick, scratch or whatever she wanted so long as Myddrin was still in contact with her.
As she walked, Myddrin's mind went back to the girl's, Dani's, earlier question. I want to know where you guys came from.
Before she could stop it, her mind was reeling backwards, sending her in a fast-forward through all her memories of the lab. Unlike most of the others, she'd been in the lab since she was little. She could remember all of the tests, the needles, everything. Myddrin frowned deeply before shaking off the memories as best she could. It wasn't the right time for that. Keeping up a steady pace, her mind wandered to other things.
"I wonder how long it will be until they find out about Brody." the words parted her lips as a harsh whisper, but she didn't notice that she'd actually said them.

Brody stayed silent, watching the proceedings and nodding when Daniel asked if he was okay. He winced visibly as Dani asked where he'd come from and what he knew. It was obviously a sensitive topic with him and he was determined to keep silent regarding that matter as long as he could. He raised an eyebrow as Myddrin started phasing Dani and dragging her along.
"Myd, you can't keep using your power like that. What if..." he trailed off and got a startled expression, seeming to have just realized that there were other people there.
He couldn't keep silent when they started accusing Max of being the only one they're after. "They're.. Uh. They're not just after him. I know y'all probably want to get rid of me now that I've said that, but trust me. You want me on your side. If they... If they take me again.. It won't be good. For anyone. Especially not the people they're trying to hunt down, AKA you all. And if I die there'll certainly be some trouble that follows." the corners of his mouth turned down just slightly, like he suddenly had a bad taste lingering in his mouth.

Myddrin stopped in her tracks as soon as Brody told the group that there was more than meets the eye here. "Broderick Thaddeus Isaiah Elijah Felix Hannigan, you are an idiot. An absolute idiot."

Brody winced like he'd been slapped. "Just- just let's get somewhere safe and I'll tell you the whole story and we can figure things out, alright? If we work together they don't stand a chance."
