Introduction

Many, many years ago, in a time most people thought to not have existed, there was a flourishing land. The land, was ruled by 5 cities. Each city was magnificent, bigger than most could dream in todays time. The ruled the land together, it was a perfect system. Unfortunately, nothing perfect can last. The cities broke into a civil war. We know nothing of the results, but the city was lost for many years. Until Now...

A single man went exploring, and walked right into an alternate universe. The land of the Cities, they called it. He told nobody, and brought a lucky few back with him each trip. Eventually, the cities started to gain their population back

Many people settled down in the new land. Those who entered, refused to return. But eventually, the people from the world we know passed away, and a new generation of our people were born and raised in the cities. Would things go better this time? Could we possibly rule the land without conflict?

Cities

Aramantha - The residential city of the land. Called the Golden City. People from here have a good living, and generally have minor jobs. These residents arent really skilled at anything in particular. Home to most unemployed nobles, and wealthy commoners. Even the slums are tended to, though slummers are few. People come here for retirement and in search of homes. Considered the capital of the land. Some also call it Slave City, although they do not use them themselves. They ship the slaves off to Zormanaar for money.

Fluorspar - The trade city. Many blacksmiths and miners come here. Built right next to the richest mineral fields in the land, It is a City of Riches. Also considered the mining city. Slavery here was abolished long ago, unlike in Zormanaar. Deals are made through all cities in Fluorspar, it is possibly the most essential city. This is where most merchants make their home, and where people come from all over to bargain.

Zormanaar - The industrial city, or The Black City, as some call it. Not exactly the best living conditions, mainly made up of slums. However, the city is excellent for work. People born here are jacks of all trades, and spend their lives working in factories. Slavery here is still at large, and needed. The needy come here in search of work. Only Noble slaveholders get anywhere near the city. The other Nobles keep their distance due to the crime rate and heavy pollution. Most avoid Zormanaar, it is a heavy dictatorship.

Fantasia - City of the arts. People that come from here are gifted in many ways. Mucsians, artists, and actors originate here. Also, the city of mages and magic. A landmark of this world, Fantasia is called the city of perfection, a dreamland. Home to many commoners and an occasional noble. Those looking for a mellow life come here. Nothing very big happens in fantasia, and many leave in search for adventure. The mages tend to the city and keep it running peacefully.

Astarock - City of warriors and adventurers. People here are trained in battle. Home to many arenas and competitions. People from all over the land come here to fight and win. Hardened soldiers emerge from this city, spreading across the land dueling and winning. Very few nobles live here. The screaming and cheers from the arena echo across the city 24/7. A city of action. All kinds of tournaments are held here, including fights to the death. Those who want to prove themselves must come here.

Castes

Noble: Nobles have been pampered their entire lives, living in the grandest part of the city. They often look down upon others with a sneer. However, some Nobles have better motives

Commoner: - Born into an ordinary life, commoners can be almost anything ranging for poor to rich. Not of much importance though, they blend in nicely.

Slummer: The poor people of the city. They fight and beg for their lives. Hardened through terrible experiences, you don't want to mess with these guys.

Your profession is whatever you want, including a mage. This RP has NO boundaries. It's a free world. You can even wage war with other cities. Profession defines who you are as a person, along with your Caste and city of origin.

The Land

When life in the city gets boring, you may want to travel the land in search of adventure and action

The Mixing Pot - The center of the land, the cities are built around it. This is a small city of its own, but not considered one. It is where people from any city come to trade and negotiate. The quickest way to another city. The roads to the Mixing Pot are well guarded.

Wastelands - The territory in between cities. Not tended to, and home to many beasts. A favorite place for warriors and adventurers

Swamp City - Not a real city, just named that. Once though to be a grand city many years ago, it gives off an aztec feel. Home of many ruins, and strange beasts that never wander far.

Highrock - Highrock can be seen from almost anywhere. Taller than any building, it looms over everyone. Many have tried to climb it, many have never returned. Some wanderers report strange birds lurking nearby

The Scar - A mile of burnt, dead land. Nobody knows what caused it. No matter how hard people have tried, nothing grows. Those that wander too far towards the center, aren't likely to return. Many children stories are told about The Scar, never good ones. Nobody knows what lurks at the heart, none have made it that far

Grand Lake - A marvelous lake filled with many varieties of fish. Unfortunately, many deadly. Docks have been set up, and workers volunteer to keep the fish at bay. Falling in would not be a good idea, unless prepared.

The Bestiary - Deadlier than even The Scar, this is home of the many deadly beasts that control the uninhabited land. Nobody dares go near, no attempts have even been made. This is where all creatures come from, at the center there is thought to be a hole into another dimension
