As she made breakfast she thought over a cup of coffee everything she would have to get done today, realizing once again she had a lot to do. Over the years her and Ryan had been through everything and although things weren't always perfect, they always worked themselves out somehow. Adri would have never thought that New Years that Ryan would be the man she would marry, leave the city for and have two wonderful kids with.
She quickly plated all the food putting it on the island counter so that everyone could grab something to eat. She hated for them to leave without eating anything. Letting in their 8 year old golden retriever from their fenced backyard, Adri sat down with her laptop so she could organize her appointments for the day.
She decided not to wake up her children yet knowing they were not morning people in the slightest...just like their father. Besides she enjoyed the time to herself in the morning.
After his shower he put on a pair of black slacks and a light blue dress shirt. He slid a black vest over top of the shirt and buttoned it halfway up. He shook his hair once more, it didn't go out of place often. It magically stayed pretty well put together all the time. Adri was quite jealous of this, when she would wake up in the morning and have to actually manage her hair and he didn't. He didn't put on any footwear, He didn't intend to leave the house today, at least not for a few hours. He walked, barefoot, out the door.
He made his way out of the room and into the hallway. He could smell the bacon downstairs and smiled. He could tell the kids werent up yet. Adri let them sleep in on days like this. Ryan wasn't nearly as polite as that, he was a bit more evil. As he walked the halls he banged on his childrens doors singing loudly. His songs varied from day to day, todays choice was Rest Stop by Matchbox Twenty. It wasn't often that he got praise from his kids for his singing, but he dd this nearly every weekend for the past ten years.
He heard a soft bang on his sons door. This was likey a pillow thrown by the boy after being awoken by his studious father. Ryan grinned and walked down the stairs. As he entered the kitchen he saw Adri sitting at the table with her computer. He approached her from behind and leaned over her shoulder. He kissed her, "Good morning gorgeous" he said as he leaned back. He moved around the table and sat across from his wife. Their dog placed his front paws on Ryans lap, looking completelty overjoyed to see him. Ryan smiled and petted the retrievers head.
The dog Adri owned when they met, Ella, had passed years ago. Dogs dont tend to live thirty years, unfortunately. Adri was devastated, but once the hurt faded they went out and got this dog as a puppy.
He glanced up at his wife, already working away. "What do we have lined up today?" he asked.

When her and Ryan moved down to Virgina she was worried that she wouldn't be able to find work as a PR agent. That was when Ryan came up with the idea for them to open their own agency. Ryan set up the jobs for their clients and Adri managed publicity. Their business had been very successful so far seeing as it was so rare to find a talent agency down south. That of course came with the price of busy weekdays and sometimes weekends along with occasional trips out of town but it was worth it to make sure their family had what they needed.
Adri looked over just as their son entered the kitchen, still in his pajama pants and grey t-shirt along with bed hair looking just as tired as ever. She turned to her husband shaking her head with a smile , "You can't help yourself, can you? You would think you'd be sympathetic considering how anti-morning you are."
She watched as her son piled food on a plate, having a feeling she knew why her son was down here instead of in the shower. Just then she heard the shower start confirming her thoughts, Mariah was in the shower.
"Good Morning Seth." She said softly taking a sip of her coffee. She got a small grumble that sounded like "Good morning Mom."
Adri watched with an entertained smile as her son ignored Ryan obviously mad his sleep was interrupted. She shook her head going back to work on freeing up their day.

The shower shut off upstairs. Seth's ears perked up and he stood from his seat. he grumbled and left the kitchen. He passed his sister in the hallway on his way to the bathroom. She stuck her tongue out at him as they passed. Seth roled his eyes and entered the bathroom.
Mariah entered the kitchen with a big smile. She was much more chipper after her shower than she would have been if she hadn't had one yet. "Good morning mom and dad." She said happily. She grabbed a plate and piled the rest of the food onto it. She sat in the seat across from Seth's and began to eat.
Ryan Smiled at his daughter as she sat down. "Morning Mariah" he said. He turned his attention to Adri. "That sounds fantastic, we can divide and conquer on these meetings and we should be able to have this all done before noon." he said. He retrieved a piece of bacon from his plate and took a bite as he leaned back in his seat.

She looked at her daughter. "So, what are you plans for the day Mariah?" Adri said asking her daughter with a soft smile. Mariah bit he bottom lip as she decided how to word this. "Uh, I was gonna see if I could spend the day at Karen's with a few friends?" She said telling the truth. She just happened to omit the fact that a few of those friends were guys.
Mariah wasn't going to do anything, just hang out like she said but, her dad freaked out over the slightest things sometimes.
Looking at her daughter Adri nodded smiling softly. "That sounds good to me...as long as your back before dinner." She said taking a sip of her coffee. Adri knew the friends she was talking about and they were good kids whom she had know since they were little.
Mariah smiled internally, 'Almost home free.' She looked to her dad to see what he would say hoping he wouldn't question any further.

He sat up and looked at his daughter. "alright, thats fine. Just call me around 4 so I know you are still alive" he said with a small smile. He could see Mariah's face light up with the news. He was still a bit un-sure, but that comes with being a father.
Seth plodded into the kitchen, in a much better mood. He was wearing a blue and orange UVA hoodie and Jeans. No shoes, just like his father. He sat at the table and resumed eating. "What about you Seth?" Ryan asked. Seth looked up quizically, his mouth full of pancake. "What are your plans for the day?"
Seth swallowed his food and followed it up with a drink of orange juice. "Uhh, havent quite decided yet." he said. "Probably end up at a friends house throwing around." He was referring to playing lacrosse.

She smiled looking at Seth as he came in fully dressed but with no shoes just like his father. They could be so different yet similar sometimes, Seth was defiantly more athletic that his father but, had the same tendency as he did like enjoying being barefoot for some reason...she always thought it was because Ryan was from south but it was just something he did and passed to their son.
After hearing Seth's plans she nodded. "Alright." She said looking at them, "That's fine just make sure your back by dinner time Seth. You're grandmother is coming over for dinner tonight." Adri revealed for the first time. Her mother-in-law had called the previous night to tell her that she was coming over to see the family.
"Your father and I have a few meetings at the office today so we should be back at noon-ish...so if you want to leave earlier than that Seth's gonna have to take you, Mariah." She said simply. Knowing her children she knew this could possibly be an argument.
Mariah looked at Seth briefly before turning to her mom, "Yeah, Seth will drive me." She said to her mom without asking Seth, knowing it would piss him off.

Ryan watched his son walk away and stood to put his dishes in the sink as well. He returned to his seat and ran his fingers through his hair. His daughter had gotten up to leave as well and he was left in the kitchen with his beautiful wife once more. He grabbed the laptop and started rummaging through various files. Calenders, artists, music, and the like. This was always much more of Adri's thing. He was much more involved in the talent scouting than the actual "buisiness" part of their business.
Once satisfied Ryan closed the laptop and looked up at his wife. She told the kids that Ryans mother was coming over. There wasnt any animosity between Ryans mother and Adri. In fact, Ryans mother adored her. On the contrary, Adri's parents didnt feel the same about Ryan. Adri's parents never quite approved of him. They were hoity toity high class and Ryan was sooo not. He had reached a peaceful compromise with them, however, and as long as they didnt say anything about his country background there would be no drama within the household.
He looked to his wife and stood. "Well my dear, shall we make our calender for the day?" he joked as he walked over to stand next to her.

She was about to go get her laptop so she could put it in her leather messenger bag, when her phone ran. She sighed with a shake on her head, "Let the games begin." Adri mutter with a smile, as she answered the phone using her blutooth. "Adrianna Huntington speaking." She said in her pleasant voice.
"Hey, Adri. This is Remy,...I am just letting you know that Adam won't be making it today's meeting." Adri rolled her eyes hearing the voice on the other line. Remy Vincent was lawyer for one of our clients, Adam and his uncle. Adam didn't do anything without his lawyer being there to review everything...Adri called it being over cautious, Adam called it safe.
Now as annoying as it was to have a lawyer present when me as Adam's PR and Ryan as his agent were there, Adri could deal with that. It was just the fact that Remy constant flirted with her, despite the fact he knew her and Ryan we're married. It was a bug that kept buzzing in a persons ear, it was irritating to say the least.
And with his newphew and client absent, he would be sure to go full force with his flirting.
But Adri constantly stayed calm and professional grinning and bearing it despite Ryan's disagreements with her method of dealing with the situation. If she let him have it his way Remy would be like the guys in the park all those years ago...and Ryan takes it upon himself to tell her that every time she has to deal with the man.
"That's fine...I can always reschedule." She said calmly grabbing her bag from the chair and putting her laptop in it.
"No, no. Adam actually wanted me to come and get all the information from you and Ryan about the magazine interview and possible gigs." He said clearing his throat.
Adri sighed, "It's really fine actually it will just be me today. Ryan has some scouting appointments today...so I am gonna just go over the terms of the interview. It works out better that way anyway...we'd really need Adam to go over the events. I can just give you the contracts for the magazine interview and answer any questions you have about the terms. Is there any place you want to meet." She said pulling out her phone to plug in her planner.
He answered immediately. "How about that nice Italian place on Sunset Blvd in about an hour...its on me." He said almost too coolly.
Adri shook her head, "That's very nice of you to offer...I'll see you then." She siad before hanging up and hanging her head along with it. "Remy Vincent just told me Adam can't make it to the meeting...so we're going over the interview contracts over brunch...alone" Adri looked at her husband flipping her hair to the other side with her hands as she always did when irritated. "I swear if I could just break his ego down a little....maybe then he would get the message. I know exactly how to handle men like him, its to bad he's a client's lawyer."

Ryan quite disliked Remy, but what are you gonna do? He did however, manage to screw with him every now and then. which sometimes made it all worthwhile. He opened the fridge. He wasn't sure why... He always opened the fridge at random intervals. It was a habit he had picked up from his father, who also did it. Guess he expected it to have something interesting in there every time he opened it. He shook his head and closed the door. He spun around and made his way back to Adri, who was standing by the counter. He spun once more and leaned against the counter next to her while she finished up her call.
She informed him of her plans for the meeting and he chuckled. "Thats adorable, maybe he will give you a corsage and take you to prom." He scoffed. She began complaining about not being able to cut him down a size and Ryan stepped to her. "Hey, think about it, he is taking you to lunch." he said and kissed her. "get something expensive."

Just as she pressed her lips to his there son came in, "Hey, can you guys keep it PG your kids are coming it...we may not be five...but we don't want to see that." Seth said lacrosse stick in hand, as he spun it around. Adri pulled away from her husband not moving her arms from around his neck as she looked at her children with an amused smile.
Mariah smiled, "As gross as it is, I think its romantic. Remember how Mom used to tell us how her and Dad met? I think its sweet that they still act like this dispute how old they are." She said making Adri frown at her daughter.
"We aren't that old, Mariah Haliey Huntington." She said reproachfully looking at her daughter with a raised eyebrow. She looked at Ryan a glint of mischief in her eyes, one thing Ryan had slowly infused into her "He maybe old, but your father is still a sexy piece of man."
She laughed as her son and daughter squirmed and groaned in disgust. "Mom, that was gross...don't talk about dad like that...you're my mom. Its bad enough when my friends say your hot." Seth said rubbing his face like his father did when he was weirded out by stuff.
Adri rolled her eyes at her son, deciding to ignore the last part. You'd think he thought her and Ryan just decided to have kids for the good DNA match.
Mariah looked at her brother, "Ew...your friends say that about mom why don't you stop them?" She said, her hands on her hips.
"I do! They just keep saying it." He said looking at her.
"Well maybe you should hang out with someone other than the giant man whore jocks, you associate with." She said Adri moved away from Ryan looking at her children, "Alright guys! Enough. It's almost noon and its Saturday, can we hold off on the arguing till later. If you guys are going I suggest you get going now. I want you back at 6...on the dot." She said give looking at them, they knew she was a serious about being on time.
"Yeah Mom. We got you...don't stress alright?" Seth said walking over as Adri kissed his cheek smiling at her son, "Fine...I'll remain calm...just make sure your home on time please."
She said kissing her daughter on the cheek as well, "Love you guys. Be safe and don't forget call your father, Mariah!" She said as they walked out the door.
Seth walked out the door, his sister in tow. He approached his jeep and threw his lacrosse stick in the back seat. He slid into the drivers seat and put his key in the ignition. His sister was taking her sweet time walking to the car.
"Before I'm dead Mariah" he grumbled. She looked up at him with a look that said. "I dont have time for you right now." He smiled and waited for her. when she finally got in her greeted her with. "Congratulations, I'm a hundred years old." he smiled and turned around to look behind him. Seeing that all was clear, he backed out and into the street. He hit the gas and they were off. Just another day in the lif eof two fo the richest kids in the county.
"Where is your friends house again?" I dont remember. Seth asked his sister.
"Just down this street and take a right, I'll let you know when to stop." She punctuated her sentance by turning up the volume on the radio. Seths Ipod was playing over the speakers. She had to hand it to her brother, he had good taste.
