(Ah-Kye) n.: A powerful creature thought to be a God/Goddess of a long gone civilization. It can switch between genders, and feeds on the darker emotions of humans, their cruelty and sins.
Akai is thought to be able to take any form it wishes, but it is usually found in one of its few favored forms. It can be found as a large ravenesque dragon, with inky black feathers on it's back, and scales on it's belly. It has huge wings that are like a ravens at the top, but a dragons at the ends. It also has been known to take the forms of a owl, a human; female, and a human; male.
Akai is a trickster, and a deviant. It likes to feed off the darker side of human life, emotions and sins. It can be cruel, and it can be nice, though this most likely is a facade. It is a cold creature, that wishes only to satisfy itself.
Akai usually carries no equipment. If it wishes for something, it will manifest it. It prefers to fight in what is thought to be its true form, a huge raven-like dragon. It is powerful and old, and no one actually knows the extent of its power.
Akai has been rumored to be around since the beginnings of time. No one really knows for certain. However, its story is set in a steampunked 1800's.
