Arya Tyan's Story

Arya Tyan hesitated at the door, gently brushing her hands along its frame, getting a "feel" of the place. Opening the door, she took a slow step in, brushing the bottom of her walking stick out in front of her. Tilting her head to the side, she listened to the place. Her eyes distant as she began to slowly make her way through the crowded bar, bumping a few people here and there.

Arya Tyan tilted her head to the side as she heard a rather loud crash and then a thud of something falling to the ground. She sniffed the air for a moment and tightened her grip on her walking stick as she smelled blood. Using the walking stick before her, she slowly kept walking through the maze of chairs, tables, and people, making her way to the bar. She mumbled apologies as she bumped into a couple more people before finding herself at the bar. Her cheeks were red from embarrassment as she lifted a hand and tried to find an empty seat. Her hand brushing across Suza's back for a moment before moving onto the seat nearby.

Arya Tyan finally found an empty seat. Her grip tight on her walking stick as she ran her other hand over the counter a little. She was a bit nervous, this was her first time here, and she didn't know anyone. Chewing on her bottom lip, she listened to another loud crash, making her tilt her head to the side once more. Part of her wanted to just disappear from the bar, but the other part wanted to see what it was like.

Arya Tyan feels something pull on her walking stick and moves it away. "H-H-Hello?" she says softly, laying the stick flat on her lap. Her grey eyes glance about as if she was looking for something.

Arya Tyan used her walking stick to find the door once more. She hesitated before running a hand along the door's frame to find the doorknob, opening the door. Stepping inside, she took a moment to listen to all the commotion going on and then swept her walking stick in front of her as she made her way to the bar.

Arya Tyan dropped her hand to her side for a moment before taking her walking stick in both hands. She then just sat silent, listening to everything going on around her in the room. She chewed on her bottom lip a bit as she listened, ignoring the gentle pain her side caused her.

Arya Tyan tensed a little as she listened to the footsteps that walked toward her and then to the voice that spoke. It was a male voice, friendly enough so far. "I... The pain is ignorable," she said softly. "Its really only a scratch." Her eyes didn't move from its distant gaze, but her head tilted in his direction a bit.

Arya Tyan slowly her gaze lowered to where the bar was and she nodded a little as she whispered, "Yes, I am blind." She bit her bottom lip as the memory of what happened only revealed the pain in her side. "I had been walking and then suddenly pain... I can't say much else..." she said softly as she ran her hand along the walking stick.

Arya Tyan used her walking stick to push the door open again, having been distracted long enough that she had found herself gone from the room. Slowly she made her way back to the chair she had been in and felt a little bad that she had disappeared on someone who had come to talk to her. She wished to apologize to that man, but she didn't know if she would interact with him again or not. Letting out a soft sigh, she slid onto the stool, gripping her walking stick in two hands once again, and went back to listening to the room.

Arya Tyan let out a slow breath as she ran her fingers along the counter top, feeling the material it was made out of. Her eyes blinked, but remained distant in their gaze. She didn't even make the effort to brush the hair that fell over her shoulders and obscured her face from view.

Arya Tyan tilted her head to the side a moment, listening to everything that was going on. It had gone quiet in the room and she could easily catch what people were saying. One of her hands dropped from the walking stick to her side briefly, somewhat revealing the blood stained area at her side. She pulled her hand away, not noticing that her hand had blood on it now, and replaced it on the walking stick.

Arya Tyan listened to the footsteps that made their way over to her and tilted her head toward the man. Her distant grey eyes never moved to look at the man that had knelt before her. "My side..." she said softly and dropped her hand to it again, her eyebrows knitting together for a moment. "Its pain... but it is not much."

Arya Tyan let out a slow breath and nodded once. "Please..." she said softly and just listened. The hand on her walking stick tightened a bit, but that was her only other move.

Arya Tyan tilted her head to the side and bit her bottom lip. "I... I'm blind..." she said almost in a whisper as she looked down. "I cannot see what you will be placing in my wound..." She chewed on her bottom lip for a moment, a habit of hers.

Arya Tyan tried not to burst out with laughter and offered the man a small smile. "Oh... well... I'm not exactly human..." she said softly. "I permit you to touch me."

Arya Tyan only nodded as she felt his hand on her side. Part of her still wished she could see, but there was not much she could do about it. "I am Arya Tyan," she said softly to the man helping her.

Arya Tyan caught his hand for a moment and turned it so that his palm was facing upward. Leaning the walking stick against the bar, she dug in one of her pockets and withdrew a medium sized aquamarine stone. Setting it in his palm, she closed his fingers around it and said, "For healing me. This stone was picked from the last of the oceans I last could see."

# Gambit's Bar, 2010-09-05 22:39:39, as written by muketsu_bara
Arya Tyan shook her head and set the stone back in his. "You have more need of this than I, Shakras. My memories have faded with the passage of time. I can no longer recall the scene with which the stone came from," she said softly.

Arya Tyan 's eyes closed as she smiled softly. A tear rolled down her cheek as she saw the ocean one last time. Slowly opening her grey eyes, she inclined her head to Shakras. "Thank you..." she whispered softly and gave his hand a gentle squeeze. "Its been too long since I've last seen anything."

Arya Tyan smiled softly and drifted her other hand to the empty stool next to her. "A water would be nice. Would you like to sit?" she said softly. She felt her hair fall into her face and she brushed it aside and behind her ear.
