History

From age thirteen, Azir had been mentored by Shade after accidentally transporting himself to one of many dead realms, which are used to contain the souls of people who have already died. He was taught to control his various forms of dark energy by a multicentennial assassin known as Shade. However, Azir's abilities were limited in the fact that his emotions dictated what he could and couldn't do with the dark energy he drew from within.

After exiting the realm in which he had been trapped, Shade and Azir continued to travel together. During these times, Shade returned to his original evil demeanor, and being heavily influenced by his mentor as well as cut off from the rest of the world, Azir soon followed. He was sent on various assassination missions and monitored by Shade to determine his progress. By the age of seventeen, Azir had become independent of his emotions, and could manipulate the dark energy he drew upon any way he pleased.

At the age of twenty one, Azir's skills as an assassin had become healthily developed, and his powers had been honed to a professional level. Feeling that Azir would carry on his legacy, Shade performed a Spiritual Transfusion Ritual he had spent years creating in which nearly all of his memories, powers, strengths, and views became a permanent part of Azir.

Now empowered with nearly a thousand years of experience on top of his own, Azir begins to carry on what Shade had been created to do; kill.
