Description

Standing an unassuming six feet tall and one pound over two hundred, he is still quite noticeable. No one so far has seen Black Sunshine???s true face, only seeing the emotionless mask with the zipper over his mouth that he wears. It zips up the back, as well, covering his entire head and a bit of his shoulders. His shirt consists of a black long-sleeved shirt with the right arm ripped off so that his cestus is exposed, the left coming all the way down to his fingerless leather glove. He wears a single belt from his left shoulder to his right hip that holds the small sheath for his umbrella, carrying it much like a sword on his back. His lower half is encompassed in a purple hakama with black ankle wrappings that extend up to his middle shin, holding it tight to his lower legs, but billowing out further up. Upon his feet he wears only a pair of simple straw sandals, giving him impeccable grip when running, for he can dig in with his toes.

Personality

Quiet and nonviolent when allowed to be, Black Sunshine merely wishes to find out who he is...or was. He surely can't be the same man he once was, though he is searching for those who know the truth.

Equipment

Black Sunshine carries what appears to be a standard umbrella, though it is truly made fully of a malleable yet extremely resilient metal from the dimension in which his abilities originate, unsure what it truly is called. The plastic coats a layer of chain mail so that the entire canopy may be used to block a blow, quite heavy, making an effective bludgeon. The handle is quite odd, ending in what seems to be a sword hilt where he would hold it. This is quite true, for if he gives the smallest of twists, he can pull a thin blade from the umbrella, made of the same metal that the implement itself is, able to channel his abilities through it without damaging it. To compliment his speed, Black Sunshine also bears a cestus upon his right arm, his knuckles plated with metal, his entire arm wrapped in leather straps.

History

Very little is known at the time of Black Sunshine???s past, for he can???t remember much past the implantation of the second soul. Since waking from that undoubtedly excruciating event, he has wandered on his own, spending most of his time in an underground petrified forest. He fears his powers and thus keeps himself mostly shut away from the public. A few things are know about him, however.

Black Sunshine is rather average in the strength department, above average in speed. Whereas most people can be rather fast, Black Sunshine himself can be called a speed demon, frequently seeming to disappear and reappear in a spot closer to his prey for those who do not have the eyes for it. Though he is only average in strength, with his other abilities, granted via soul implantation from an unknown race from an alternate dimension, he can punch through solid steel, though it does injure him slightly each time. He can also channel it down his blade to slice through most anything, as well as flinging it off as a projectile.

Black Sunshine???s other ability???the ability he draws his name from???consists of a type of purplish energy manifested from the soul implanted into his body by the unknown race that he happened upon in his youth. As a result, he has forgotten his name and taken the faceless mask as his way of saying he is no one, yet he is definitely someone???a powerful someone. The black energy burns like fire, yet not its wielder, explosive when called upon to be and able to cut as effectively as a plasma torch. He can channel it up the blade and fling it as a projectile blade, slicing through everything in its path for a distance of one hundred yards before dissipating.

Black Sunshine's Story
