Description

She is beautiful.
Her hair, cascading to the small of her straight back in elegantly thick
waves, is like dark, liquid flame, streaked with fiery cinnamon, amber,
copper, gold, bronze, chestnut, and sorrel sparks.
Her eyes are a deep, vivid sapphire blue, flecked with silver sparks.
Long lashes catch light like droplets of flaming rain.
She is tall at 6', and lithe. Her hips are slim, strong, and appealing.
Her waist has a natural, hourglass shape to it, accentuated by the tight
bodice of her gown.
Her legs are long, sinewy, graceful, and powerful. Her arms are strong,
lightly muscled. Her fingers are long, and slim, but have strength to their
grip.
Her chest is well grown, her neck is slim, but
a scar runs horizontally across the creamy skin.
This scar came close to the great veins of her throat, but missed by inches.
It happened when she was twelve. In the Battle. Mhorvanjus had
managed to slash at her throat, just before her blade killed him.
Her injury was not as severe as it could have, and should have, been.
She was able to kill Mhorve.
If you are lucky enough to see her in the nude, you would
see a large slash across her right side, on her waist.
This, too, came from Mhorve's blade, as did the one on her
upper left thigh.
She has a stubborn, clearly Scots, chin, high cheek bones, and a straight,
well formed nose. Her mouth is well set, with soft, full lips. She weighs
around 160 lbs.
She is about twenty years in age.

Personality

Great courage, but she is very wary of strangers. However, she has an intense urge to heal the wounded, especially when she smells the blood from a wound.
She is a good leader, but for now, she is unwilling to travel with anyone, unless it is an animal.
In battle, you don't want to be her enemy. She is a badass fighter, and knows it.

Equipment

Her longsword, which is Elven made. It's blade constantly glows a fierce blue in battle, a comforting gold in peace.
Her claws, fangs, and hooves, when she is in animal forms.

History

Once... Long, long ago, there was true Magic in these Forests. And the creatures were intelligent, able to speak, sing, and greet the mornings and nights. Elven Peoples were untainted. War was unheard of. Only Life, and Death, a never ending cycle. The Land was Wild, untouched by Human hands.

But 't would never stay so forever.

Humans came. And they brought War, Famine, Greed, Lust, and Hatred with them. They ravaged the land that was unprepared for such an assault. Lives were lost. And the Land of Magic fell in the battle for it's Freedom. It fell into hiding.

The Elven People soon began to accept this as Fate, and the Half-Blood Sub-Species began. Elves were marrying Humans, and bearing, or siring offspring with them. Only one truly Pure Elven Line remained through all this.

The Royal Line. The Skysong Kingdom. The struggle to keep the Line Pure lasted for nine hundred years, and with it, the struggle to keep the Magic from dying. Kings reigned long, and retired, or died in frequent battles against Demons and Humans. Each King passing his Circlet to the Eldest Prince, to settle down to retire.

However, Love would have it's say, five hundred years ago, when Prince Lorican met the lovely Human, Princess Callania, and fell in love. They would elope to one of the last nearly full Elven villages, Elvenwood Village, and nineteen years later, they would produce a Legend.
Briena. For twelve years, this Legend in the making would grow into a strong, sweet young lass.

But Humans would ravage yet again. Briena's cousin, Mhorvanjus, son of King Axelander, the bitter, hate filled human King, came to attack. Prince Lorican, Princess Callania, and all but Briena, her younger sister Grace, the Swordmaster, Darinillo Goldenblade, and her fellow trainees, Samias Gleeman, Gibraltar Dancingleaf, twins Krolomios and Sirron Deepheart, Valliarn Oceanspirit, Grevis Strongdagger, Browen Starsoul, Merrin Lakesong, and Jervis Windspirit were slaughtered by him and his bandits.

Briena and her fellows fought to avenge the Village, and Mhorvanjus died by Briena's blade. She herself was badly wounded, nearly killed. But she survived, and led the large group away. Cats, horses, and wolves, who had joined in the battle, came with them. The caravan would travel for four years, unaware that King Lionel Skysong searched for his lost grandchildren.

After those four long years, Magran Silverspell, a half Dark Elf Mage, found them at last. And Briena, with her caravan, came home to Skysong Castle at last. For ten years, they would live there. Then King Axelander attacked, and a battle ensued between the Elven Kingdom's Army, and the Army of the Corrupt King Axelander.

Both sides would encounter heavy losses, but the Humans were the worst off. Briena would end the great battle. Axelander's Dark Reign was ended at last, the moment the severed head hit the ground.

Yet after this battle, King Lionel was feeling the strain of ruling, with no male heir to take the Circlet after him. And... He made the mistake of telling Briena, twenty six years old, that she must find a husband.

Enraged and confused, The Lady Warrior set off, and would travel alone, fleeing her Grandfather in anger.

Now, she travels alone, avoiding everyone at all costs.

Briena Erani Skysong
~She slipped across the desolate landscape, her bare feet leaving footprints in the ashy surface. Her deep hooded cloak hid her face from view, and billowed upon the wind. She stared around at the destruction. What had happened here? Where were the forests? She Shifted, becoming a Unicorn, purest of whites, with a crystal horn. She galloped forth, then paused, and lowered her head, to touch the tip of her horn to the ash. Nothing happened. A whicker of sadness left her, and she lifted her head to gaze around at the land. A lone figure caught her blue eyes. One with wings.

Briena Erani Skysong slipped across the desolate land, her bare feet leaving footprints in the ashy surface. Her deep hooded cloak hid her face from view, and billowed behind her on the wind. Her silvery silken skirts fluttered around her long legs as she walked on, staring around at the destruction. What had happened here? Where were the trees. She stopped as she came to the obsidian. "Hellfire..." She jumped as a powerful rush of wind from the beat of mighty wings buffeted her. Then she looked around, spotting the dragon as he landed. Then another figure caught her attention. A man. With wings.

Briena Erani Skysong growled at the dragon. Oh... But he was going to get a surprise... She got a surprise instead, when the figure appeared in front of her, just as she began to Shift into her largest Dragon Form. She blinked, but kept the Shift going, and gave Attor a blast of Female dominance. A deep, rumble of fury, like thunder, echoed from her chest, and exploded out of her mouth in a roar. "Meal? I think not."

Briena Erani Skysong growled. "I have no quarrel with Dragons. And I do not intend to start now. No one owns these lands in truth." She sat down, curling her tail about her haunches. There, she sat. Her scales, being impervious to Dragon Acid, and Flame, would keep her safe.

Briena Erani Skysong stood again. "Then all you need to do is ask me to leave. I will do it. I did not know these lands were your territory, and I do not even want territory." She turned and walked away, calmly following her prints out of the area. "I am no coward. Either one of us could be injured. I would rather save my strength for a fight that has a real purpose."

Briena Erani Skysong slipped into the Tavern, known commonly as Gambit's Bar. Her deep hooded cloak hid her features from sight, but any sharp minded soul would be able to discern that she was definitely a female. The graceful, floating step, the soft, hushed whisper of silken skirts flowing to touch their hems to the wooden floor, swirling about the long legs that were hidden under the fabric as they took the steps that carried the tall young woman across the room to the fireside, whereupon she settled in an armchair, her hood falling back with a light touch of her slender fingertips to release a tumble of waist-length fiery dark red tresses.

Briena Erani Skysong settled gracefully in the armchair, as the fire's light brought her features into detail... Her features were those of a regal Angelic, though she had no Angel blood to speak of. Then again, Pure Elven sort were likely closely related to the Angelic Race. Briena's high brows were fine and arched, her eyes large, expressive, and the deepest of blue hues. Fringed by long lashes that caught the firelight like tiny prisms of fiery rain, they looked about the room, their set being above high cheek bones, and on either side of a long, straight nose. Her lips were full, temptingly soft, yet they had a wary set to them. Lastly, her pointed chin hinted at great stubbornness and will. Her slender neck had a thin scar gashing over her fine throat. She looked calmly over the crowds, observing for the time being.

Briena Erani Skysong looked to the man who had approached, her calm expression turning to one of outright suspicion and worry. "Yes?" Her musical voice was unlike any he would have heard, the undertones lilted with a Scottish flavor, the foretones ones of beauty, great power unknown. Above it all was what showed upon the features of her visage. Suspicion, and icy wariness. "What is this?" She looked to the scroll he held out to her, her deep blue eyes growing warier still. Could her Grandfather have already found her trail by now? She had hidden it well... Briena hesitated, then reached for the scroll.

# Gambit's Bar, 2010-06-01 10:43:32, as written by BrienaSkysong
Briena Erani Skysong rose to her full height of an impressive six feet and eyed the man. Then she opened the scroll in one graceful movement. Her eyes widened with a slight tinge of curiosity. Her own face stared back into her eyes. Briena tilted her head and examined the drawing. Then her own eyes cut to the text. After a moment, she let the scroll re-roll itself and handed it back. "Who gave this to you? It has not the sign of the King Of The Elven People. Grandfather Lionel's crest is a Lion. This crest is of the Human King. Axel is long dead. So is any Heir he has ever produced." She mused the last sentence to herself aloud. Her eyes held a new mixture. Curiosity, slight relief, then fresh worry. What if Mhorvanjus had managed to return?

The messenger would see her back stiffen, and then a shiver go through her figure. At nearly twenty-five, the Runaway Princess of The Elven Kingdom was no stranger to danger and loss. The prospect that Mhorvanjus could be back to life was serious enough to chill her blood in it's pulse.

Briena Erani Skysong nodded. Then turned, gesturing toward the door. She swept across the room, paused with her hand hovering over her left hip, where a blue shimmer lingered. Her blade was there. She checked with all her senses for danger, found little, and stepped through the door into the night. She leaned on the door jam, waiting for the Elven man.

Briena Erani Skysong looked to the man who had given her the scroll. "I'm sure you know the way to the forest." She nodded toward the treeline beyond the walls of the City. "If not, you can follow me. I prefer the Forest in any case. The stink of vomit and drink is getting to me."

# The Hidden Glen, 2010-06-01 11:12:24, as written by BrienaSkysong
Briena Erani Skysong stepped into the Glen, and settled in the center, her skirts spread about her upon the grass. The sun/moon's light struck sparks in her fiery tresses, giving an ethereal glow to her form. Blue eyes pierced the Elven Man's own, whatever color should the be. Though his hood hid his own face, her gaze seemed to see past the shadows the depth of the hood created, to see the features within.
She gave the new impression of innate ease in this woodland scene, for, as he would know, being an Elven Man, the Forest was her true haven. She had inherited the natural ability to seemingly melt out of sight in the forest, yet still be standing there, watching. She may have been half human, but she took to her Elven Lineage most.
She watched him. "Well?"

Briena Erani Skysong rolled her eyes as he mowed to her. When he was done giving the basic information speech, she stood. "I am Briena Erani Skysong, Grand-Daughter of King Lionel Aramos Skysong. Heiress to the throne." She gave the formal title, then bowed to him. At the words, Heiress to the Throne, he would have noted a bitter tone. She clearly wanted nothing to do with being Royalty. Or Queen.
Straightening, she looked at him. "But, please, show me no Royal treatment. I am, at heart, never to be crowned." She finished. As he had turned to peer into the forest's shadows, her gaze had swept around the edges of the Glen. She saw no danger. Briena settled back to the ground, folding long legs under herself within her skirts.

Briena Erani Skysong sighed. "I am... Fleeing arranged matrimony, I suppose." She shrugged. The movement was an easy roll of her right shoulder. Her eyes went to the device he had brought out. Then she calmly ignored it. "Being twenty, I am 'of marriage age'. Grandfather wishes to pass on his Circlet to a new King. And that I be the Queen. I don't agree. My Leader skills are limited to orders given on the battlefield. Leading a caravan of what was left of my birth Village was something I did for love of my friends, and my sister. I wouldn't be able to sit a throne, I would rather be out here, in the wild, traveling." Throughout her words, there was an under-surge of soft music, the sort of music that told stories of battles and trials. Of life passing by. ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TOkIU0s0mI0& )
