Carlotta is not exactly to be considered a 'friend', she considers other beings more as points of interest. She's a good actress, and no longer really has a defined personality, she's just like actress without a backstage. She can pretty much impersonate anyone, though she still does have a few consistent concealed traits. For instance, the real Lewan is rather unfeeling, and distant, and love is pretty much a fairy tale to her. She has nothing to loose, and yet everything to gain mentally when fighting, Which is a dangerous combination. She encourages the suspicions that she is bipolar, and it is nearly the truth basing on how she acts. You can't know how she will react... Like one person, or another...
Carlotta was once a normal little girl, living out in the country, with her family. Her parents died in a fire when she was twelve, and she was left to take the care of her younger brother. Blaise was just a serious little boy of six, the thread that held Carlotta Lewan's sanity together, the only thing familiar left. She began to learn more about the troubles behind the pleasant sheltered life she and her family had happily lived, though Blaise was still there, and still cared. She came to believe that the nature of others was false, you couldn't trust their 'personality' and you couldn't trust them. Except for her little brother. They both had to live in the city, always running, always hiding. And then, he died of an illness, he was silent to the very end. Because of that, it led Carlotta to believe he was disappointed in her, how she couldn't take care of him... And she fell apart. If there was nothing true, why should she herself not be untrue? False, many personalities, she had no true self.
