Description

Darklord Nefarius is an Iridonian native of the Zabrak species, and has characteristics similar to Darth Maul; his skin is bright red and black, with ritualistic clan tattoos all over his body. These tattoos signify that Nefarius is a member of the Sith Order, and possibly even shares his bloodline with the original Sith species of Korriban, which is now a dead planet. Darklord Nefarius has sharp yellow teeth, small yellow horns, and sharp yellow claws. One of his eyes is red with a golden ring around it. His other eye is mustard yellow with a crimson ring around it. Darth Nefarius resembles a red and black demon or sand dragon, though his overall appearance is humanoid. He wears a solid black jerkin like Darth Maul, normally under a black hooded cloak. Nefarius has small jagged sharp yellow teeth, and a sinister appearance which makes him look frightening, even to other Siths, who recognize Nefarius as being very strong with the force, in a dark and mind corrupting way. Like many Zabraki warriors, Nefarius weilds a Zhaboka or double lightsaber staff, and has mastered the weapon in ways not seen since the time of Exar Kun and the first lightstaff. Nefarius has no master affiliations or apprentice relationships. He is entirely solo, but it is believed by some Jedi that Nefarius still uses the force to communicate with the ghost of his dead master, Lord Adas.

Personality

Nefarius has a very dark and sinister personality. He is a solitary loner, being often quiet and devious. Like many Zabraki warriors, Nefarius was trained and conditioned in the harsh red canyon enviroment of Iridonia, where there are strange man eating monsters and dark acidic rain forests. Nefarius is an assassin and bounty hunter, strong as can be with the dark side of the force. He speaks both Zabrak and English, as do most members of his species. He is silent and manipulative, extremely patient and very aggressive. Hatred and fear have consumed him entirely, making Nefarius a dangerous and deadly opponent to anyone who crosses him. He seems to pick no side whatsoever, as he will kill any Sith or Jedi who gets in his way. His only goal is to become darker and more powerful. So far, he has a status similar to one of the Jin’jidai, and it is believed that the spirit of the deceased Lord Adas might actually be ressurrected in Nefarius' soul.

Equipment

Darklord Nefarius has mastered the dark arts. He knows hand-to-hand combat, lightsaber combat, and how to use the force. Combat is the specialty of his people. War is the profession of his species. He does not need any equipment and tools, as there is Sith in his blood. His only weapon is a Zhaboka lightsaber, which has dual-blades that he can turn on and off independantly. There are no buttons on Nefarius' lightstaff, it's just a lightweight hilt designed to scan Nefarius' hand when he grips it. Only he can manipulate the bright red beams that form the blades. It's a very versatile weapon, owing to its unique lightness and omni-directional cutting ability. It could be wielded one-handed or with both hands. Early in the weapon's history, when the Sith were numerous, the art of lightsaber dueling flourished. In later periods though, only rarely would Jedi face an adversary with a weapon capable of repelling a lightsaber. If the lightsaber is dropped, the blade will retract automatically, so the user will not be injured. Every once in a while, he will also carry a laser machine pistol (LMP) made of some type of specially magnetic Iridonian moon metal, just like his unique metal lightstaff hilt. His pistol is also designed to scan his hand upon retrieval, and will only shoot if Nefarius himself pulls the trigger. Other than that, he normally doesn't carry any weapons at all, relying heavily on use of the force and its blue lightning.

History

Very little is known about Darth Nefarius, or how he came to know the Jedi arts. Everything that is written about him comes from ancient Jedi prophecies, and the council's observations of his unique fighting style. Nefarius has learned all seven lightsaber forms, and has mastered the arts of Ataru, Niman, Jar'Kai, and Juyo. It is still not known how this is possible, but some Jedi have theorized that Lord Adas may still be living in the spirit of the force, and that he might be Nefarius' dark master through telepathic manipulation, or hypnotism. Unfortunately, Nefarius is so consumed in the dark side of the force that he cannot snap out of it. The force has become part of his inner being. Nefarius is too powerful and hellbent on becoming a god.
