Description

A man who's soul had been interwoven with that of a vengeful dragon he slew for years, she cursed and malformed him greatly in both mind and body. After a long adventure he resurected her and the two parted ways with holes in their hearts as their pact was half broken.
He has a small range of powers that include:
Dragon fire: Gale summons dragon-fire from the palms of his hands, he needs time to get enough heat to do this.
Immolation: Gale engulfs himself in dragon-fire to render himself untouchable, it takes some time and desperation for this to work.
Spirit walk: Gale leaves his body behind and can scout ahead as long as his body isn't touched.
The man's left hand is always bandaged, covering his dragon name Daibu (dragon who is kin to human). The name acts as a seal to keep his human form preserved, all the forsaken years his ancestoers could have lived as dragons have been building up inside the seal which makes him a powerful container for a great amount of magic.
Weaknesses:
Gale becomes weak hearted around dragons and dragon-kin and is unable to harm them even if it threatens his life.
Personality
An impatient man he often takes the quicker rout to a solution even if it isn't civil and especially when his temper is flared. He constantly fights with his pact partner Nomu despite his feelings for her, which he tries to reject in a futile manner. Around dragons he becomes weak hearted and 'soft' to a degree, he would sooner kill himself than harm another dragon.
History
Raised in a small, hidden hamlet Gale aspired to be a holy knight against the wishes of his father who insisted he be a farmer like, he was taken on as a squire but his temper often got him into more trouble than good and kept him out of most people's good graces. It was not long before he followed a knight with determination however, the life of whom was ended by a fire dragon unfortunately, the young squire took his mentors blade and trained long and hard for years until he was able to join the ranks of the dragon slayers. He killed many dragons and was eventually led to a fight to the death with the beast that had killed his mentor so long ago. As he burned with rage the severely weakened dragon stood no chance and was slain but she refused death and gave Gale a terrible curse.
Not only did she interweave her spirit with his so that he would never be rid of her in his long life but also forced to take on her searing powers. The last of her actions left him with one of her eyes to act as a gateway into the hearts of dragons, revealing their own pain to him as his own. As a stubborn man he fought back however, putting the lingering soul behind him he looked through every pure book he could find and eventually took the plunge into into necromancy to find a spell that would free him from her ever watchful grasp and the curse that was slowly driving him insane. After much bloodshed and many hours spent learning and thinking Gale managed to free their intertwined souls by resurrecting the dragon. The effect left them both ragged and hurt but they managed to part ways with The dragon, Nomu revealing her name to Gale as an act of forgiveness in return for the impossible task he had accomplished.
The council elders did not see his task as great however and as Gale preached of a coming rapture he'd seen in his sleep he was arrested and left to rot for high treason and consorting with dragon kind at the top of feroot tower, the most infamous prison in the land. After escaping he found Nomu again and the two reconciled. Nomu gifted him a sword to replace the stolen Fissure and gave him a cryptic riddle before leaving for another universe through a portal, distraught Gale ran after her, determined to find out what she meant and to fix their torn souls.
Gale Daibu strode into the bar with a grim look upon his face, after travelling through a portal to this strange land he'd more than ever wanted to find Nomu, the thought of the dragoness he'd loved to hate broke his heart but it also reminded him how important it was he find her lest ether of them perish. He looked around for a bartender but he felt like he was lost in another age completely, all though feeling daunted he pressed on to look for those who might know of local legends, it was hard to miss a flying, fire breathing lizard the size of a large house.
Gale Daibu scanned the room until a sight very nearly unnerved him, trying his best to ignored a foul, deathly creature that sped across the room out of sight he eventually found a person who looked knowledgeable. Walking over to Tobias Malari he spoke in lacklustre tone, the way he was ageing left him feeling drained. "If you could spare a few words? I'd like to have a quick talk my good man"
Gale Daibu took note and got straight to the point. "I may seem like a madman and I'm unsure if my 'legend' as some put it has made it this far but regardless I see informations on local legends and lore" he stopped to lower his voice to a whisper "specifically dragons". If this soldier was as normal as the one's from his own world he'd likely call Gale mad and then send away yet Gale was sure he was something more.
Gale Daibu felt almost sane, "so there are many legends concerning them?" he asked, his heart felt lifted for a moment. "I seek in particular No-" He stopped suddenly, it was best he didn't use Nomu's real name. faking a cough he continued "Sorry, ahm. I seek the fire dragon known as Queenfire, I find myself in a predicament with her that most sane men would kill themselves over involving. I'll not bore you with that small bit of history however"
Gale Daibu declined the man's offer, "I'm sorry but I was never much a smoker nor a drinker, I've got to find that dragon and return home before I can even hope to settle down, even then I'll likely be captured but." He thought for a minute. "She is new to the area and likely has no home of her own yet so I should have a fair chance reasoning with her if I can at least find her before she sets down." stopping again he knew information had a price and would need to pay his own share "I'll indulge you a little information for your time, there is a terrible bond that makes even the gods quake in their boots and she can tell you about it if we can find her." This bit of information itself was priceless and would hopefully win a few favours.
Gale Daibu waved his hand at the cigarette, "Thanks for your concern bit you've no idea what I've done even after 12 years in prison. Trust me when I say scrounging a bar for information is a day of relaxation." With that he turned away to look for others who might know any sort of information, he was sure half the people in here were less than human. He had to find another lead quickly. The strangest sight he'd seen in the bar was sat at the counter. "Such a strange woman, I wonder..." All though he had no idea who the true natives of this land were he knew from home the sight of a travelled person or at least one that looked as such. walking over to Avia L'arie he again got straight to the point "Excuse me lass, might I question you about the local legends?" he asked, his voice a monotone.
Gale Daibu was about to take a seat when the woman seemed to have collapsed, He decided it was better to leave her be and find another source of information.
Gale felt a moment of tension in the air, stopping in derelict ruins while in search of dragons was the last place you suddenly set up camp, the day was getting dark however and he needed a place to rest in advanced should he not succeed this day. the man kept his sword close as he felt spirits passed about. "There are others here. I do wonder..." the muttered as he raised a tent in case of rain.
Numo was almost heart broken to see Gale again a good distance across the ruins, she wondered what drove him to seek her out. The place they called home was unsafe for both of them and even after what she'd put him through rather than living what little life he had left Gale was obsessed in finding her. "Daibu..." She said solemnly, remembering when she'd transcribed the mark on his bandaged hand. Turning away she didn't expect something to catch her foot, she barely caught herself as her body got too near the floor and her legs shook. Along with sickness she was almost too tired to stand after all her flying today
Gale was less at ease when a small explosion of arcane power could be heard. "I don't get a break do I?" he asked himself half hoping he'd get a reply. Taking his sword in hand he crept around some derelict buildings, stiff grass crunched under his feet. He peeked around a corner and saw a younger man razing things pointlessly. "I'm sure that's one way to clear land, building a Sunday house lad?" The man mocked from behind cover, if he was a problem he wanted the element of surprise.
Numo struggled to her feet, she needed rest or a good fright. As she turned a corner it became the latter, a little bit above her she saw another dragon but to was nothing like she'd seen before. It took her a few a moments to calm down as she reminded herself the dragon order couldn't have made it this far and wouldn't have recruited anyone yet if they had. "Excuse me! I am Nomu" She paused for a moment, hating how her title made her feel. "lonesome dragon. Is there any order of dragons here?" she inquired, if anyone could help her it was a native order.
Numo was astonished to see a native dragon bowing to her especially with her title but more astonishing was the size of the strange dragons. She was amazed just how small the other two really were, "Listen My title only means something to humans, you don't have to pretend I'm something big because I'm just old to be honest, around twelve thousand years but I do have plenty more left if I can keep from getting ill." she sat down as the tiny whelp ran in front of her. "It's far from easy but maybe with Daibu..." The dragoness cut herself off, she wasn't going to think of Gale. Her attention was thankfully taken when the whelp fell onto his back. "Stop crying you useless thing, I've never seen such a sad joke in my long life" Numo complained as she attempted to remove the odd bottle strapped to his back, her claws were far too big in comparison though and she gave up, it wasn't her fault if the whelp died.
Numo felt almost disgusted, "If you can not yet talk whelp would you stay with calls?" The elder asked calmly "I'm feeling aggravated with Daibu so..." She stopped mid sentence again and shook her head. It was unnerving having her pact partner so near yet so far from her grasp. she decided to question the two other dragons, meeting natives and befriending them would be important to her long term survival "hmm... Name and titles?" she inquired, taking a moment to look at the whelp again. "Really now... where is your mother tiny whelp" Numo muttered in a lacklustre tone, she couldn't care less to be honest but needed to be in good graces.
Gale Daibu had rambled into the ever strange bar to try and figure out how he might get a drink in this strange land, even after a day of pointless searching it seemed he'd get no rest as a throne as black as the onyx his sword was made from appeared in the bar. His sword glowed with anticipation as Gale felt a wave of anxiety sweep over him. "By the gods. what is this..." the man muttered in a grave voice while his hand slowly reached for his sword should he need it.
Gale Daibu was less than happy to see commotion in the strange bar, he'd been hoping to find information about abandoned dungeons he might plunder for treasure as his funds were getting low because for some reason gold coins didn't translate to very many 'credits' and he'd been struggling as it was. His attention was caught by the demons who'd invaded the bar. "How did so many escape from hell?" he asked himself in a whisper. He'd tackled a demon before but at the time he had 30 men and the power of a fire dragon however this time it seemed like people were already rising to fight so Gale decided he'd wait and see if they needed his help. He stood away from the door with his hand ready to draw his sword should the fighters in the bar even need his help.
Gale Daibu knew he had to do something when all the demons attacked a witch, the only person in the bar who had the heart to help. "damn monsters" he muttered as he drew his sword silently and began creeping up on the demons. He drew his sword high into the air for a moment and thrust it downward, trying to make a sneak attack.
Gale Daibu wasted no time and pulled his free hand up, it was glowing a bright red. While the man normally had an exception of using his fire wherever people might be hurt he decided to make an exception as the great thrill of a battle filled his chest. "As I have endured... Your pain will be legendary!" the man yelled as he thrust his glowing hand forward and a stream of fire was unleashed at the demons.
Gale Daibu could only shiver as he pushed onward through the frozen wastes, He'd followed this path after hearing of a great monster killing people and as it was his only lead he felt forced to follow it. Holding a slightly red hand up he shielded his eyes from the now emerging sun, it offered no warmth and didn't help him see through the blizzard he'd stumbled into. A massive tremor suddenly shook the earth causing Gale to stumble, cracks formed in the ice around him and prompted the man to run. After making adequate distance he turned to look in awe as a giant frosted hand pulled apart the ice, A frost giant was emerging. Looking around for some form of aid he noticed a red figure in the distance and ran towards it in a mad sprint. A giant was more than any man could take on alone and was even a problem for some dragons.
Gale Daibu was panting by the time he'd reached the red figure, even if he did have dragon's blood (which he refused to believe) age still caught up with him fine. brushing his silvery hair away from his remaining, red eye he automatically began to give a dragon greeting. "Hail! Name and... and bloody hell!". Gale yelled into the air with frustration, "I need your help or we may be finished" the ageing man informed the odd cloaked figure with a great sense of urgency. the ice continued to crack as the giant broke his way out, the monster would soon be free and Gale was in poor enough condition as it was.
Gale Daibu was more confused than angered by the man, "Boy? you are a quire one aren't you? I can assure you I didn't kill who knows how many dragons with my bare hands, the last one an elder even." He stopped when a mask appeared in the man's hand. "I hope you're not planning to kill it with that lad, we'll soon be dead if you think a bloody..." he was caught off guard again as the ground shook beneath them. Gale grabbed his sword as he fell to one knee. The giant seemed to be fighting his way out of shackles, gale got to his feet and drew his sword to his side. "Damn! We are out of time, will you help or not?!" Gale questioned as time grew ever thinner and as his rage, and his hand began to burn hotter.
Know what I'd love? multi-PM.
Gale Daibu almost fell as the ground shook again, the giant was breaking his chains, the thing was like an ogre but it was bigger and armour clad, possible from some ancient war. "If we were not pressed for time I'd ask what hell you are from." Gale said in an almost warning voice, he detested demons greatly. Throwing secrecy to the floor for time he turned to the approaching woman, he knew he'd best introduce himself first "I am Gale, serpentine kin of human, name and title, will you aid us?!" He demanded, it was unlikely anyone in this land knew of that dragon greeting but it was all he had time for.
