Jaeda walks into the bar, her long, thin-soled boots thumping on the floor. Her white hair was hidden by her hood, which was her trademark for the demon blood that ran through her veins. She wore a black leather corset and baggy black pants. Clipped onto her waist belt was a large round glaive weapon. Her arms were concealed under her long cloak, which bore a white hyena insignia on the back.

Jaeda walked over to the bar counter, sitting down and allowing her cloak to brush away from her arms. Jaeda's skin was pale, but had many small scars and freckled among it. On her right arm there was a large, grooving scar from her shoulder to her wrist. She looked around for a server.

Jaeda walks into the bar, her thin soled, black boots thumping onto the floorboards. Her thick black top, covering her neck and torso, along with her baggy black pants, were covered by yet another layer of black, which was a cloak that reached the floor. On the back was the white insignia of a hyena.

Jaeda sat at the bar, her hood up to reveal here white hair, which trademarked her for the mixed demon blood that ran through her veins. She had a scowl upon her young face, and her skin was tanned from long days working in the sun.

Jaeda looked for a tender, her brown eyes darting. She saw none, and was thirsty to the bone. Without a care, she hopped over the counter and served herself a glass of water. She then set the glass on the table and hopped right back over, her black cloak trailing her. She said nothing the whole time, and the disgusted scowl remained on her face as she drank.

Jaeda walks through the forest, her thin-soled boots silent upon the soft earth. Around her usual fighting apparel was her usual black cloak, which almost lightly touched the ground. Her hood hid her white hair, her trademark for her demon blood. There was an unusual lump under her cloak. It was no doubt her favorite weapon of choice: her throwing glaive.

Jaeda , after walking for quite a while, did not grow tired, but weary of this monotonous path. She stopped to rest, by only standing in one place. She slid down her hood. It was stifling in this sun. She brushed her white hair behind her ears, and her scowl, as always, was evident.

Jaeda walked once again, starting on the new path. After another long while, she began to hear voices, as well as the rush of waves. She began to walk faster, and the sounds became louder, clearer. She breaks out out the brush, seeing a yellow-sanded beach and an ocean. She raises an eyebrow and stands straight.

Jaeda walks cautiously out of the brush, onto the beach. She strides, and as she does, she sees many girls and men in sparse clothing, playing in the water and laying in the sun. Jaeda raises her eyebrow again.

Jaeda put a hand up to her ear, and seemed to speak. "Headquarters, copy." She spoke.
"Headquarters here. What's the problem?" Jaeda sneered. "Is this the right position? I am at a beach." There was a long pause.
"Yes, that is the correct position. There should be a demon there." Jaeda clenched a fist and growled.
"There is no demon! This is a farse!" Headquarters paused. "No, just keep looking." Jaeda turned the small speaker off and threw it to the ground.
"Damn it!" She yelled, furious.

A somewhat haggard being would enter Gambits, not wearing her usual cloak or her gloves. It had been so long, so very long, since her last visit here. Now she came, a lump of a dead body being dragged in one hand. Her hair fell into her twisted face, which brimmed with anger and annoyance, and possibly pride as well.

Her combat boots thumping loudly, with the sound of the dead body dragging on the ground accompanying it, Jaeda made her way to a cloaked figure in a booth. She dropped the dead body onto his table. "I killed him, and now I want my credits, before I kill you." Jaeda hissed, using a finger to point at the dead Vampire, then at the cloaked figure.

Jaeda stared long daggers into the cloaked figure's person, her overall torn appearance not helping her to look very pleasant. There was a seconds pause, then the creditor hastily nodded, whipping out a small device. As he spoke into it, Jaeda straightened herself up, crossed her arms, and managed to look somewhat pleased. When he was done, the huntress smiled, which caused the creditor to shudder, and went on her way to the bar counter.

She searched for a bartender, which, as she remembered, came rare at times, and plopped her bum into a stool. Jaeda rubbed her temples, sighing deeply.
'I've gotten rusty in my leave,' Jaeda thought, peeling away a part of her shirt to reveal a long, but shallow scratch.
"Damn bastard nearly bit me."

Jaeda did not care that the Vampires body was taken away. As long as she got her credits, she was happy. Hell, the Vampire could be revived later by some strange, overpowered force, and she wouldn't care. She would just kill it again later, and get double her credits.

The reason she was so worried about the credits, however, was because they were what fed her back in the organization. When she took her short medical leave, which was completely not up to her, a big part of that money was depleted to pay for her surgery.

As Sally Wright came over, Jaeda managed a weary smile, lips cracking from being dry. She licked them and straightened herself up.
"Yea. A tequila, if you will. Please." Jaeda ordered, voice hoarse.

Jaeda pursed her lips as her drink and the bandages were delivered. Her first plan of action was to drink, which she did, then to take the bandages and look at them quizzically. Cartoon characters?
Really?
Though, in her weariness, even she couldn't complain for long. She sighed, sprayed the antiseptic on her cut, used a napkin to clean it a bit, then started to wrap the bandage around her shoulder, muttering.

Jaeda shook her head, finally done with the bandaging. She only came here for one reason, really, and was too tired to stay. She finished her tequila, then got up, proceeding to walk out of the bar and to the organization.

A slightly haggard woman would almost seem to dance into the bar, hands spread outward, walking on her tiptoes. Her wiry blonde hair was an absolute mess over her shoulders, and she looked wet, as if she'd taken a long walk in the rain. Her eyes had dark circles in them, and yet, this mess seemed happy. She was almost singing.
For Jaeda, this was so strange. If there were any mind readers in the bar, they just might be terrified of her thoughts. 'Red water...here and there! I killed them, and they're more dead then before! Little mosquito's...I plucked their wings, I did! Slit their throats and watched them devour each other!' Were her thoughts, and many violent, gutsy and bloody images flooded with it.

A haggard figure, her white hair wet and tossed into her face, and behind it all was her contorted smile. Her eyes glowed beneath her black hood, and as she stomped into the bar, her boots echoed loudly, one by one.
Thump, thump.
Clutched in her right hand was a mess of flesh and hair.
It was the head of a vampire, mouth agape, blood dripping from the severed neck.

The slayer didn't seem disgusted at the sight, for she held it with ease. No, the only disgust that showed in her eyes was because she had to go through the bother in the first place.
"Damn bloodsuckers. Making me work overtime." She muttered.

Today, at Headquarters, where dark clouds gathered over the sun and blotted out the light, did a woman clad in black leather walk.
She wore a dark cloak, the hook covering her head and obscuring most of her face. All that could really be seen were her full red lips.
Her boots thumped loudly on the marble floors, even though they had a thin heel and soft bottoms. Only Jaeda could make such a thing possible.

As she passed many a colleague and other such members of HQ, they would be able to see the woman's symbol on the back of her cloak, plastered on in white. It was the image of a hyena, maw open wide in 'laughter'.
No one really knew why she chose that particular animal.

Jaeda swept across the floor and down some steps with a feline grace, her arms close to her side.

Jaeda stopped in her tracks next to the man, turning her head, only a little, to see him out of the corner of her eye. She didn't say a word. No, not yet. Instead, she gave him a curt nod and followed, wondering what poor, decrepit thing they had made this time. Surely, an Imp that was grown inside of a human couldn't bode well for anyone...

As she walked inside, straight as a stick, she raised a hand and pulled down her hood, revealing her own pallid skin and stark white hair that fell over her shoulders and down her back. Her eyes were slanted and sharp, and, overall, her expression apathetic and unfeeling.

She looked out at the boy, the small child...oh? Was that sympathy, even anger, that flashed it's way across her face, making her wince in regret.

"As long as he lives, eh?" She said in a low voice. This was a much younger Jaeda...in fact, this was three years before the incident with the demon that had changed her life.
But this was one that would change it in the long run, little did she know.
She put her hand on the glass, frowning deeply. "What other effects? Enhanced strength? Super speed?"

Two figures came into Gambits that night. One was a woman. She was slight, somewhat tall, and had all of the features of a slayer; from the black, stretchy clothing to the silver blessed knives and abundance of vials attached to her hips to the sharp, predatory look to her eyes. Her hair was short, and there was a white strip in the front that looked as if it should have been more of a grey.

The second was a man much in contrast. He was large, hugely muscular, grizzly, unshaven, and had a much more unfocused, mean look to him. He had a thick jaw and heavy fists. The smell of dog simply oozed from his form. His black hair fell into his face in uncombed curls, and he wore the same black clothing as the slayer.

They moved to sit down at the counter, the slayer making no noise, the man making thumps. As they did, the slayer got up again, and very suddenly, looking at a screen in her hand. "I'm going to have to leave. Another job. You can handle this on your own."
"Funny." the man replied, though she was already gone. He heaved a sigh.

Timmon sat at the bar, calmly ordering a pint of mead. It was the only thing he found himself enjoying these days. A simple bottle of beer just would not do. Especially in those little bottles. Since being an experiment to the Slayer organization in Wing City, he had found himself with a miraculous metabolism. No one looking at him now would have known that he had been a walloping three hundred pounds in fat. Now, he was nearly two-fifty in muscle, and only as a human.

At the words of Helvegr, which he had barely been able to catch, he felt the hair on the back of his neck begin to grow and prickle. He shrugged to himself and took a large gulp of his mead. "Not here, Timmon. She ain't a job." Oh, yes, he knew the werewolf girl was there, but that did not mean he had to go on a rampage. He was alright.

Timmon caught sight of another figure that had come in. Some strange lad that looked a tad confused. Or maybe he just seemed...a bit too excited about something. Tim could not be sure. He rolled back his shoulders, and, in attempt to distract himself fully from the fact that there was prey (though, not completely in the ordinary sense) in the bar, he turned his stool around to face none other than Hero.

"A bit jumpy or summin?" said the large man, wiping the foam from his mustache. He peered at the boy carefully. There was something so odd about him he couldn't place.

Yes. Yes, this boy was definitely...strange. To say the least. Timmon took another slow sip from his pint, eyes never leaving the kid as he made his way over to him. He stopped, then mentioned some guy called Macguffin.

"Uh, who?" the gruff man grunted, thinning his lips. Further what plot along? Was that some kind of code name for an operation? "Wha' the hell are you talkin' about, kid?" he asked, placing the mug onto the table. He grinned at the shower comment. "If I took one too recent, the smell o' wet dog might be a bit more unpleasant."

He glanced the golden ears and tail, but did nothing about it. Dammit, he couldn't attack anyone unless they were targets or currently already making some kind of trouble. She was not doing either. She was fine. He was fine. Everything was fine.

"The hell is the author?" said Timmon, quirking a brow. His language was unintelligent and slurred. Anyone could tell that. It did not appear he got past High School in education, quite possibly. He watched the boy grab the table and babble like a complete, pure idiot. He was trying to flip the table?

...why?

"Oi, kid, I think you migh' need so-" Crash went the golden werewolf girl, and Timmon wouldn't go to help, either. Just because he had self control did not mean he felt like torturing himself to keep it. The nearer he got to a were or vamp, the more itchy his skin got, which was never a good sign. He focused again on Hero.

"You escape from the asylum?"
