Description

Josh is rather normal, in all aspects of humanity. Having been born after the war that destroyed most of the world, leaving other land masses into islands and such, Josh was never swept away by the, 'look as weird as you can!' craze.. As such, being of Hispanic ethnicity and the male gender, Josh has darkened skin, not to be mistaken for a tan, dark hair and eyes. (Black hair, brown eyes.)

He stands at the rather tall height of five feet and six inches (5'6") despite the fact that he is only 14 years of age and, because of this, may seem unruly and gangly, not quite fitting into his skin. He's rather 'rough' appearing, simply because of all his time spent out in the sun; creating wrinkles around his eyes were he has squinted.

Generally, the boy is seen wearing a pair of pants, made out of 'jean like' materiel and a t-shirt, both in light colors.

Equipment

----- Main thing that Josh has is a Bag; within the bag is..
* A Canteen, perfect for holding water in case he can not find anymore that's good for a long period of time.
*Rope.
*Another Canteen.
* A sharp, chipped rock. -Just in case he has to defend himself.
* Some sort of 'painkillers' that he swiped. -- He does not know how well this will work, seeing as he's too much of a chicken to try them out.

History

It's not every day that a female gives birth, anymore. Not with how the landscape is rugged, most of the water is poison, the world is in turmoil. Yet, that is what that woman did. She screamed, and cried, and raged, and hurt-- until a little baby boy, so normal, fragile and pink, was suddenly brought into this world. Gasping and crying and hurting, that mother held her baby close.. And then she fell asleep, passed out, her baby against her chest.

Most of Josh's history is not, quote in quote, bad. Sure, he lives in a despicable waste land where shit wants to kill you, maybe eat you, or just torture you for fun- but he had his mother, an his mother had him, and they would survive for as long as they needed too. It was a system. Josh hunted for food, looking, stealing it from people, and then mother would beg for food, get hit, Josh'd get pissed, throw stuff around.

But no one pays attention to a five year old boy. And that simple fact- that no one cares about children in this day and age, is what ended up getting his mother killed back when he was seven.

Josh'd like to say that he had stayed strong but, truth be told, he bawled like the child that he was, shivering out in some hole in the ground, away from everyone else, hiding from the stupid drunk who wanted to play kick-the-beggar.

No one cares what little kids do.

Josh was powerless, is powerless, continued on in the same pattern as before-steal food, survive. Except, now, he didn't have his mother- but it was okay, little children learn how to forget.

And then those children grow up and they become teens.

And that's' when it all goes downhill, because Josh- the stupid, ignorant little teenager, had a dream. He knew that the monks were around, knew that they still lived and just knew they couldn't help but to take an apprentice- even one who couldn't fight, like he couldn't. But, it didn't matter.

He. Had a Dream.

Josh Enguardo's Story

~Josh's eyes were narrowed. The boy had been alone a few moments before but, now, it seemed as if a stupid starving female had lost her mind. As those hazel orbs watched the squealing monstrosity, he arched a brow. Perhaps she was committing suicide, scampering to a watery death, to be clenched in the unloving arms of death..

Josh shook his head, dark brown strands scratching a cross a tanned forehead. Maybe he should stop the insane woman- or maybe he should just sit here, sinking into the sand, enjoying the feeling of sun on his shirt-and-pants clad form, glad it was a bit warm, for the day. Cold air always seemed to blow through his holey shirt- but not today.~
