Jude Maxwell's Story

# Gambit's Bar, 2011-04-23 14:31:51, as written by Lamentations
Jude Maxwell was once again disappointed by the shallow appearance of the Gambit's Bar and laughably its inhabitants. Just from laying eyes on its unstable structure from afar, he could tell that there was nothing special - nothing had changed in the few years he had been away from Terra. His light stride of particular nonchalance brought him to the double doors, but he stopped to think. Many things had occurred in his last visit, and it wasn't safe for him to be there...it was very possible he'd run into many enemies of his past once he walked through those doors. Well, fuck'em. His gloved hand felt the rough texture of the door then shoved both open to see what awaited him inside.

Jude Maxwell didn't portray openly how disturbed he felt when he discovered that there was almost nothing going on in the Gambit's Bar in the heat of the day. Scratching his head - his anticipation and hope for an exciting evening faded...partially. He walked in, looking left and right, before his eyes landed on Salazar's. He saw thing's that obviously weren't human all the time, and Salazar was no exception. He could see even past the visor, his own molten eyes locking with the inhumane thing that looked his way. Jude wasn't itching for a fight though, so his gaze left that of the 'thing' and he stopped in the middle of the establishment for no particular reason. Nothing was happening, but atleast in his passing through he could order a drink or something...

|Over the horizon was a flash of brilliance that marked his return to the bar, in one of the rays of light from the heavens he accumulated himself before the doorstep of the Gambit's Bar. Dusting himself unnecessarily he drove his fingers through his healthy hair and stepped foot once again into the Bar, wondering what was instore for him this time. |

Jude Maxwell wasn't particularly surprised again. Though he set eyes on a potent warrior (Avaraen), he didn't seem like one that would be any fun to play with that morning. Jude hadn't found anyone as of late that would be worthy of testing himself on, so he was limited to watching insanities occur and the like. Walking through the bar he claimed a barstool and tapped his fingers on the counter...waiting.

Jude Maxwell yawned into his right glove when he heard a voice speak. It was refreshing to see that there were still others around that had manners, let alone the decency. It seemed this fellow obviously wasn't stupid, he didn't come to close, but he also not too far...Jude smiled. "Sure," a deep voice bathed in milk spoke, while his fingers traced the patterns on the counter top. "Can't you feel how dangerous I am just from seeing me? Why are you doing this?"

Jude Maxwell was actually happy to find someone of sufficiency that wasn't fearful of his presence - but he knew the immortality played a great deal in that. Continuing to trace the patterns he began to mutter under his breath, before speaking loud enough for the other man to hear once more "I've had many battles here. Many resulted in the absolute destruction of one or more parts of this bar...but it seems it's more durable than before, constructed to a higher perfection." After he had said that his molten eyes glared over to Ted, and then back to the countertop. An insignificant existence that wasn't even worth acknowledging? Yep, that was Ted alright...

Jude Maxwell stretched a devious smile across his lips before relinquishing his seat at the counter, taking a few steps back while keeping aware of where Ted Awesome stood. "It looks like you may get to see my abilities sooner than I expected," he claimed while snapping his fingers to produce an audible boom, almost as if glass had begun to crack between his fingers. The entire bar roared, and then his eyes flew back over to Ted Awesome. He wagged a finger at Ted. "It's not nice to eavesdrop, kid...do I have to put you in your place?"

Jude Maxwell wasn't demonic...was actually quite human in every way. This Ted Awesome character was actually just as much of a joke as he came off to be, something that he didn't even find that he could likely take seriously. However his lack of other opponents in the vicinity made Ted a candidate to being erased from history if he so rightfully felt it was due. His right hand was engulfed by a sparkling crimson as vibrant as the red tie he wore, while his footsteps slowly closed the distance between himself and Ted.

Jude Maxwell struck when Ted originally began pointing and shouting. He didn't give Ted anytime to make any mistakes, and the fact that Ted had taken it upon himself to shout when he saw the raw energy flowing through Jude's hand would be enough to warrant him an ass-whippen'. When he pointed and originally began shouting, by the time he had reached the word 'proof', Jude's discharged energy beam would have likely already tore Ted's face off or sent him flying across the bar with serious injuries. Yawning he continued to walk forward, the pulsing light in his right hand growing even brighter with excitement, though not in power...as more power wasn't required to beat something so insignificant.
