Description

With gently-curling hair the colour of bitter chocolate and a pale heart-shaped face, everything about Kate's features is soft and finely-drawn. Warm amber eyes, a neat slightly upturned nose and small rosebud lips make her looks saccharine and pretty, though not beautiful.
She is relatively short with a stately, hourglass figure in touch with the fashions of the turn of the century or the fifties but not now. Her dress is often simple, but vividly-coloured.

Personality

With a quiet confidence and self-reliance that is sometimes mistaken for arrogance, Kate can appear aloof and a little grave. But to those that know her, she is bright, eloquent and obviously intelligent with a strong sense of morality.

A first class degree in PPE from Oxford University and the inheritance of a controlling share in her grandfather's company.

History

At the age of 19, Kate was sent away to a prestigious university in England where she studied politics, philosophy and economics for three years at the female-only St Hilda's College. Upon her return, she soon learnt that her grandfather was seriously ill and, with her father involved in business elsewhere, had decided to leave his shares to her. She must learn the ropes of an industry with which she has only had the slightest theoretical experience with and avoid the attentions of the heir of her grandfather's ex-partner's company.
