Kauto

Kauto is a red skinned, lizard like alien who is just under 6 feet tall with a short, blocky muzzle that has a high-ish bridge and long ears that go back from the sides of his head at an angle while odd, mauve colour eyes sit in their sockets. This is connected to a slightly thick neck that meets a slim, lean body which shows he's built for speed and evasion as he's not very muscular, despite this he isn't soft ether as his thick skin can be hard to cut. Going lower you meet his belly which while toned is again not muscular, showing no signs of abs or a six pack nor the like. Further down is his very long tail which of course gets in the way at times, it connects to his rump and streamlines his figure down to his digitgrade-capable legs which end with 3 large toes that have a well trimmed and rounded claw each. Oddly this was done to stop him from hurting anyone rather than his own choice in grooming.

The alien's vibrant red skin is very thick and hard to cut but bruises quite easily which means blunt trauma is much more hurtful to him than anything else. A peculiar thing is that his skin soaks up water like a sponge and then retains it, feeling slightly moist to touch and even somewhat 'saggy' almost all the time. Long periods away from the warm waters he's used to and his skin dries up to become pale, tight, painful and very easy to 'crack' which can cause some serious damage if he isn't careful.

He wears nothing but 'snowy' cargo shorts and that is out of modesty, the warm temperatures of his home planet combined with thick skin meant he was used to wearing little, even in the cold.

Personality

As an alien Kauto is very inquisitive so therefore also easily distractable which can keep the lizard from running amok with unwittingly cruel pranks or silly nonsense that tends to blow up for no discernible reason. When his attention is taken however the lizard can watch something for hours and tends to show a friendly personality towards those who are nice to him but only when explicitly nice first, his nervousness means he may not take well to strangers and being ill tempered the rest of the time doesn't help.

History

Kauto was a thought a trouble maker on his own planet so it was no surprise no one cared when the unfortunate alien was picked up by aliens and then by the BSIA (British Space Intelligence Agency) after getting lost in space in a locked cryo-pod. Kauto was half dead when scientist cut him out of the metal pod which had been severely damaged by a meteorite hit and he suffered from amnesia and befriended the humans because of something similar to Stockholm syndrome, quickly picking up English from his favoured scientist who was tasked with watching him. After a month or so of containment where memories slowly came back to him a space/time rift opened and the alien walked through to find himself in the multiverse and more specifically the Wing city space-port with no idea as to where he was. The alien still wants to learn as much as he can, especially anything about his own kind.

Kauto shuffled into the bar shyly holding a piece of paper in his hands which directed him to the establishment along with a gleaming, new metallic card that had the wing-city logo on it which contained all of the red-skinned lizard's personal, medical and financial data along with a few 'credits' to let him stay in a room for a few nights while he got on his feet... it seemed people popping into this reality wasn't unheard of or the people in that office had been so baffled they didn't know what to do otherwise. (trying this again... fingers crossed?)

Kauto felt like he'd walked in at a bad time but then again he probably never didn't think it when in new places and as a space-ship had been his little world for some time this new, larger one was very confusing but curious indeed. Walking to the end of the bar the nervous red skinned extra-terrestrial lizard took a seat and pulled a shining card out of his pants, the only thing he actually wore. It was quite a few minutes before one of the robotic staff noticed him to take an order for orange juice of all things, all though the lizard was clueless as to what all the drinks were as he normally only drank water. "Hmm... hate new places." Kauto moped, glancing about with very odd mauve eyes which seemed to reflect a certain amount of light to give them a glowing effect.

Kauto found himself withing earshot of Rosie and Fenris which naturally meant he could eavesdrop on them and a very strong natural 'pull' to give into his curious nature led him to doing just that. "Cleopatra... I've heard of that." Kauto thought to himself. "Wasn't she dead though?" the lizard asked himself, trying to recall those history lessons he'd been given to make sure he was kept busy. The alien hardly noticed himself mumbling and his ears and tail twitching as he thought hard.

Kauto descends down the stairs looking a little less jumpy than yesterday but still only wearing his shorts so it seemed the vibrant alien had not been out shopping yesterday, as a matter of fact he looked starved as well which hinted he'd not eaten ether. Sitting down Kauto ordered some more orange juice (as he'd taken quite a liking it) and gazed around the bar, looking very unsure as to what he should do with himself.

Kauto wandered down the stairs into the bar looking quite sluggish and pale, not a surprise with how lazy the lizard was and how long it had been since he'd bathed. Taking a seat and ordering some of that sweet orange juice he liked Kauto gazed around the bar with Mauve eyes to see who was in at the moment.

Kauto grumbled as he wandered into the bar with his usual gloomy look and made his way over to bar to order a drink, alcohol didn't agree with the alien in the slightest but he could handle just about anything else and ordered some very odd mix of milk, peppers and spices which ended up as a luminous pale blue substance.

Kauto drank what must have been a horrendously spicy and revolting mix before ordering another and glaring at Ezrael, "Secrecy is a foreigner to you? It could save you're skin in a place like this, I heard it used to be rampant with bar-fights." the alien hissed the last s for a moment before looking back to his new drink and flicking his tongue at the mess.

Kauto tried to keep from locking eyes with Abbie for some reason, in fact his face looked as if he were sat near death itself. "This place is dangerous, it's good to be unknown, especially for the males of my species."

Kauto seems somewhat irate with Ezrael for some reason, even to the point that he didn't notice Abbie anymore at all. "It is our way!" he hissed, a thick and bright red tongue poking out of his maw.

Kauto hissed rather loudly at Ezrael for that. "Males work and watch children while females hunt, males must be strong to defend children!" The lizard seemed thoroughly annoyed at this point and went back to his drink in an attempt to control his anger. "Where did the horse come from?!" Kauto yelled in surprise as he only just noticed Abbie.

Kauto shakes his head. "Our society is organised and fights are rare. You only have to worry about making the females angry... Not that there's any of them in this land." the alien noted with a sigh, he seemed to be troubled by being by himself and the hostility probably never helped.

Kauto gave a yawn after waking up from what seemed to be a nap, the alien hadn't been feeling tired but then again it was very easy to push yourself too far and collapse so he gave it no thought and ordered some odd spiced pepper and milk drink.

Kauto hears some stumbling behind him but pays it no heed as his drink arrived, whatever that horse thing was up to was no good or very clumsily executed. The lizard teased his drink with his tongue before drinking the contents quickly.

Kauto turns to the clumsy Abbie and recommends watching where she was kicking as she nearly kicked him in the head. He was quick to order another one of those odd spicy drinks and lounge around while it was prepared.

Kauto gave a long loud yawn as he continued drinking the horrid things he drank. Milk, peppers and spices mixed into some kind of a horrid blend, it was extremely spicy but didn't appear to bother the red skinned lizard in the slightest who simply kept drinking them without a second though... And yet alcohol would floor him very quickly.
