Name: Kyle Drakinson
Height: 6'2
Weight: 180 lb.
Age: 21
Race: Human
Species: Vampire

Description:

Even at first glance, it's easy to detect that Kyle is youthful, both in body as well as undead years. Scarcely a year into his unlife, the leather clad man still had an almost human jubilance about him.

His short spiky hairdo with white highlights and over the top duster marked him out as a rather modernized individual. However for all his youthfulness and jovial nature, Kyle is quite skilled at what he does, and equipped with a wide array of skills and natural aptitudes he is more than capable.

Abilities:

As with all of the Lessard line, Kyle is gifted with enhanced strength, speed, reflexes, senses and the ability to shapeshift. However, apart from even the eldest of his line, Kyle inherited highly evolved senses, even by vampiric standards. In addition to the enhancement of his physical senses, Kyle has also inherited a passive and slightly evolved form of Sanina's seer abilities.

  • Enhanced Senses:
  • Sixth Sense:
  • Read Object:
  • Detect Thoughts:

Movement would be detected overhead as a man dropped down from his perch atop a gargoyle, easily a ten meter fall. Landing in front of the doorway of the manor house, the impact with the ground dropped him into a crouch beside Isiah.

It was clear even at first glance, that the man was youthful, both in body as well as undead years. Scarcely a year into his unlife, the leather clad man still had an almost human jubilance about him.

His short spiky hairdo with white highlights and over the top duster marked him out as a more modernized individual than some of his more old fashioned brethren. However, for all his youthfulness, the man was quite talented in a wide field of skills, and an asset to the family numbers.

“The lady said we might have company,” he said as he stood up and straightened the collar of his coat.

The youthful man offered a coy grin in return as he accepted the offered handshake.

“Kyle, Kyle Drakinson,” he replied in return.

Despite the edge to Isiah's words, Kyle seemed to exude an air of confidence and jovialness.

As Isiah attempted to enter the manor Kyle moved an arm across the doorway.

“Hey, hold up there,” he said. It would almost seem as if he were scenting the air for something. After a pause he finally nodded and shrugged.

“Ok, you're good to go. It's not often the lady has guests over you know. At least not the dead kind. You must have made quite an impression,” Kyle said with a wink and a wave of his arm towards the now unbarred doorway.

A youthful looking man stood nearby in the meager shade of a dogwood tree, his hands shoved in his full length leather duster to shelter them from the uncomfortable sunlight. It was clear even at first glance, that the man was youthful, not just in body but undead years as well. Scarcely a year into his unlife, his short spiky hairdo with white highlights marked him out as a more modernized individual.

However, youthful or not, he was quite talented in a wide array of skills. A valuable asset to the Lessard family.

“When is this man supposed to be here?” he inquired. Normally rather jovial in nature, the unpleasant sunlight had him a bit more impatient than was normally characteristic.

Kyle gave Mariotto a solid look-over, well trained eyes scanning his clothing for signs of disturbances to his clothes that would hint at concealed weapons. Even the air was subtly scented for the telltale odor of gunpowder.

Mariotto's movements as he pulled free a scroll would be met with a watchful eye and already Kyle had begun to step forward, even as Vincent made his request verbal. Closing the space between himself and Mariotto, he took the opportunity to redouble his examination efforts before withdrawing a hand from his coat.

Upon receiving the scroll he opened it and gave it a solid examination, while keeping half an eye on Mariotto. Perhaps a bit over zealous in his verifying that the scroll was indeed what Mariotto claimed it to be, but it was his job and he wasn't one to cut corners, even against a seemingly harmless individual.

Kyle skimmed the writing before snorting lightly. He read the information off, after having given it a once over himself first, before rolling it back up and rejoining Vincent.

“With a death toll like that, seems to me the local law enforcement and vampire hunters will make short work of them,” he pointed out.

He didn't say it out loud, as it wasn't his place to, but the underlying implication that he was suggesting the Lessard's hardly needed to get involved was there. But he was simply security detail. Vincent and Sanina called the shots. Though also, part of security detail involved trying to keep them from being in the line of fire in the first place.

Kyle offered a coy grin as Vincent began mulling the situation over outloud. “I can have you some meetings lined up by the weeks end,” he stated. Though the nature of how, and with whom, he left unsaid. He hardly trusted Marrioto after all.

Kyle shoved the scroll, and his hand back in his pocket. The sunlight was really quite an irritation, and made his job so much more difficult. The painful nature of it kept his eyes averted lower than he would have liked, and less able to monitor their surroundings, but he was managing a remarkable job of looking at ease, despite his inward discomfort.

Mariotto's approach would be met by Kyle smoothly stepping in front of Vincent. He didn't need instruction for that, it was simply a matter of precaution. Over-attentive some would say, but who was keeping track.

“Easy there,” he said.

Despite the physical interjection, his outward mood remained jovial and amiable enough. He would accept both vials, in Vincent's stead.

As Mariotto departed from the vicinity, Kyle opened one of the vials and gave it a sniff before shrugging and closing it once again. Personally he wouldn't drink blood from an uncertain source, but he trusted Vincent had the same level of common sense, and the vials would be turned over later that evening, once they were determined to be safe.

“Me?” Kyle replied with a light snort. “My thoughts are once a traitor, always a traitor. If he'll betray them, he'll do the same to us with the right motivation,” he continued with a shrug and a glance overhead with squinted eyes. The sun was lowering, but not fast enough for his likes.

“So about them meetings...?” he began.

Kyle's network of local contacts was quite extensive, a fact that had proven to be a valuable asset to the Lessard's in the past.

Kyle offered a coy grin once again, fully understanding the implication made. “If that'll be all, I'll be off.”

He would need to brief Sanina of the evenings events still, but he had time enough before the sun set to do so.

Making their way back into the city from their brief trek to the Crused Wood was a group of four.

“Good god, will you two get a room?” Christian said while rolling his eyes.

The brief thud of a body hitting a wall was audible as Varia grabbed Kyle by the lapels of his coat and pushed him into the side of a building. With little regard for, or perhaps because of Christian's presence, Varia made quite a scene and pressed her lips to Kyle's.

A brief mmph and a half-hearted protest was heard before Kyle caught movement on the rooftop across the street.

“Uh Varia...” Kyle said. Making a scene in front of Christian was one thing, but in front of strangers was another.

Casting a look back over her shoulder, Varia caught sight of Kaitlynn and Luka. “Huh, wonder what she's doing here. And who's that she's with?” she asked.

“Beats me, I don't keep tabs on her. The lady's orders,” Kyle replied with a shrug. Sanina had outright forbidden him from getting involved in Kaitlynn's affairs.

Viktor meanwhile simply sighed at the antics surrounding him. He only had a few years on them with his undeath, but he had many more mortal years on the whole lot of them, and he seemed the most reserved of the group.

“Come on you guys, we don't want to be anywhere near here when the dog comes around,” Viktor reminded the group as they cut off down an alleyway, and away from the area and in the opposite direction from Kaitlynn and Luca.

Overhead a keen eye might detect the subtle movement of Kyle, crouched atop a gargoyle and overlooking the happenings below. His full length duster and short spiky hair with white highlights marked him out as a more modernized individual against the old fashioned backdrop.

Scarcely a year into his unlife, he didn't seem threatening in nature, but rather, simply observant. With the eyes of a hawk, and the vantage point to go with it, it was unlikely any would intrude upon this meeting without him catching notice of it. Personally, though, he didn't like that Sanina was meeting with this man alone, as he couldn't suitably protect her from this distance, but orders were orders and the lady had instructed him to keep his distance and to let them converse alone.

Though with his heightened sense, advanced even for his kind, alone was mostly a matter of perspective. Even at this distance, he would be well capable of discerning their conversation.

Kyle dropped down from his perch as Parson seemed intent on heading in the direction that Sanina and Casren had gone.

“Hey hold up there kid. The lady says no disturbances, even you. Sorry,” he said with an apologetic shrug. “Business, you know the drill,” he added, as if that explained everything.

Inwardly, Sanina was well pleased with the state of the conversation. Having Casren on the defensive put her in a good position for negotiations. Outwardly thought, she would allow no sign of this to cross her seemingly weary expression.

“This one you speak of, even now betrays your numbers. He seeks to sow conflict between our groups. That scroll should be evidence enough of that...” she explained.

“Wrongs have been committed against my family and ramifications must be made... if we are to be sure that your intentions are... benevolent. Perhaps then, we can discuss... an alliance?”

Despite the seeming severity of the situation, Sanina had not shaken that sort of detached distracted aura to her. It made her very difficult to read.

Kyle tousled Parson's hair playfully. “Speaking of, how are the studies going. You won't get better than Christian if you don't keep practicing,” he said with a playful wink. He was well aware of Parson's dislike of Christian, but a bit of competition would be good for the kid.

It also would get Parson off the topic of Sanina's visitor, hopefully.

"Not bad kid. Have anything new to show me?" Kyle asked. Though even while talking to Parson, he kept half an eye on Sanina and Casren in the distance.

“Well ah...” Kyle began as he scratched his head. Cute wasn't exactly the word he would use for it, but hey.

“That's not bad. Not bad at all,” he continued, salvaging the situation.

“Oh her? Don't you worry about that none,” he added with a coy grin and another playful wink.

Of course, eventually they were going to have to go recapture her, but her predatory instincts would keep her to those woods for months if not years. They could afford to leave her loose for a while.

The loud cawing of a raven came from overhead as Carrion descended from his roost to land atop Parson's head, in a rather annoying fashion. However before the kid could get a hold on it, it let out another obnoxious caw and flew off in the direction of Sanina and Casren.

“Ah, well looks like your mother wants to see you after all. Go on now, and stay out of trouble,” Kyle said. As if that would ever happen.
