History
Lavena was born into poverty to her mother, Lynn Shanta, and her father, Joseph Shanta. She was loved and grew steadily. She never did go to school and was homeschooled by her mother. However, her mother didn't know much, so Lavena's knowledge is limited. Though her actual knowledge is slight, she has amazing artistic ability for a child.
Once it hit December her mother would periodically leave her alone. First for a 30 minutes, a hour, then a day, and so on. Now, her parents have gone missing. Lavena is left to fend for herself and try her best to survive. She is now looking her her family, but making friends in the process.
She had an encounter with a demon who has changed her life. She is now not as full of life, happy, or anything like she was. Can someone save the young child?
After many months of living soulessly, she was returned her soul because she became her captors friend. Now she lives as happy as ever with her new mother, Hakura.
She has just turned 9 years old, but still looks as if she is 7.
Lavena danced into the familiar bar to which she hadn't recently visited. She had the usual smile on her face, but her cheek was bruised. She was covered in snow and shivering as she walked into the bar in her white woolen dress and brown bots. Her footsteps were silent and she walked with strange grace. She plopped down next to the fireplace to watch the flames. She withdrew a piece of crumpled paper and broken crayon. She began drawing a random picture out of boredom. She wondered if she'd meet a new friend.
Lavena hummed slowly as she continued coloring her random picture. She was small for seven and most would assume she's five. She glanced up to look at the patroons her eyes landing on each of them. She hoped one of them would come to talk to her. She looked back to her picture as she waited to be warmed by the fire.
Lavena glanced up at the girl who was approaching her. "Hello," her angelic voice rang, "Would you like to color? I got ...one crayon but I share." She nodded and smiled at the girl brightly.
"I'm Lavena. Lavena can teach you to draw!" She nodded excitedly and patted the seat next to her. "You are like Lavena's friend Hakura....she said she couldn't draw but Lavena taught her." Lavena pressed her tongue over her upper lip in concertration. She drew a straight line and then looked up at the girl who spoke quietly. She, then, lowered her voice. "What is name?"
"Ash, Ash, Ash." Each time she said the girls name she held up a finger. "Mommy said if you say something three times you remember it." She looked at her fingers perplexed. "That's three...yes?" Her blond hair moved as she tilted her head and her blue eyes landed on Ash. Lavena jumped as box of crayons slid in front of her. She squeled happily. "Look, it's like Santa gave presents early. Ash can color now to!" Lavena picked up the box and held it against her chest. She hugged the box tight and smiled, "Thank you Santa."
Lavena nodded, "Yes, that is my name. Ash is good. What is Ash's favorite color! Lavena's is blue. Any kinda blue!" She nodded and opened the box of crayons. Just as she did a man hollered angrily from the corner. Lavena turned to Ash and leaned towards her ear, "I have a secret idea...." she finished the rest in a whisper only Ash could hear.
Lavena nodded and handed Ash a red crayon and purple crayon. Then, she gave her a sheet of paper. "Ash color! With her favorite colors!" Lavena giggled happily and then finished her picture quickly. She added a distorted heart and then flipped the sheet over. On the back she scribbled her name in blue. Then, she turned to Ash. "Lavena will be right back. Commencing plan!" She jumped from her seat and ran across the bar singing a spy song. She reached Cavdaver's table and laid the picture on the table. If he were to look at the picture he'd see a small child holding a big heart. The child was surrounded by many other hearts. "Don't be mad mister. It's Valentines Day!" Then, she sprinted back to Ash singing the spy song again until she reached her. "Mission complete. Agent Double L reporting." She then giggled happily at her new game.
Lavena takes the picture and looks at it. "Hmm....I never seen him. Is it God?" She bit her lip lightly and continued talking. "Mommy says God watches us, but I always thought God stayed in his bed in the clouds. And he is gold! So, is this what God looks like?" She asked Ash with bright curiosity behind her eyes. She was very excited for her answer. She glanced back at the man she gave the picture to. "Man leaving? I thought he'd come color wit Lavena. Santa gave me new crayons!" She smiled happily.
Lavena looked at Ash as her eyes filled with water. "Ash...you're leaking!" she wrapped her hands around Ash and squeezed her. "Do not leak Ash! What if you run out of water!" she hugged Ash and then added in a whisper, "Did Ash go flying with God?" She said this because the wings on the man was something she had never seen. It intrigued her.
"Then, next time you see God you tell him Lavena said you must fly." she nodded. She pulled away from her hug to look at Ash's face. "You're leaking red! If you leak red like your favorite color, does Lavena leak blue?" She tilted her head her soft blond hair fell to the side also.
"Oh! Then we get Ash water!" She skipped over to the bar and looked at the counter. At the end of the bar was a glass of water, Lavena smiled. She climbed across the counter and grabbed the glass. Then, she sprinted to Ash with the water. She did spill some on her way over. "Here Ash," she said holding the glass to her, "Water for you."
Lavena lowered her voice, "Then...what does Ash drink?" She raised her eyebrow and lowered her head to. "Its okay. Tell Lavena. We are friends, yes? Friends tells secrets." She smiled and kept her voice low.
"Oh! Lavena has met people who drink blood. It is okay. To each his own, Mommy says so." She looked at her finger and the small cut on it. "See that owie? I tried to drink blood, but it was icky. To salty for Lavena." She nodded and pulled her finger back towards her.
"Will I be? I thought Lavena already was!" She looked at Ash with a perplexed look. "Friends...that is when you share secrets...we did that. And we share toys. Well, Lavena shared her crayons. She knows Ash's name and favorite colors!" She nodded slowly and smiled. "Yes, we are already friends."
"Thank you! I will save crayons for Ash. Lavena's friend. Goodbye Ash!" she waved to the girl with a smile and hopes to see her soon.
Lavena plopped onto the floor by the fire. She took out a piece of paper and colored a picture. She didn't want anyone in the bar to feel left out, so she made pictures for as many people as she wished. She finished one picture using her purple crayons and again writing her name in blue. She then walked towards the many dragons talking. She looked to the purple dragon, Cyder, then handed her the picture. "For pretty dragon. Lavena wish you Happy Hearts Day." If you were to see the picture you'd see a portrait of the dragon blowing a heart of fire. Hearts also surrounded the dragon. Lavena smiled waiting for the dragon to answer.
"Name...Lavena! Your name? I'm sure it is berry pretty." She nodded and looked at the other dragons. She smiled at them lightly. Inside, she wondered if they to wanted a picture.
"Purple! That is my friend Ash's second favorite color. Her firsted is red. Is your purple? Ash cried red...do you cry purple?" She bombarded the dragon with many questions. She covered her mouth, "To many questions."
Lavena jumped as Cynder screamed. She looked to where she ran. she was very confused on what to do. She looked down at her hands and then back to Cydner. She frowned.
Lavena's eyes fell on the woman who had just walked in. She was stunningly beautiful, and strange. She looked like a doll and the silver strings in her hand were intriguing. Lavena padded over to the women. "Exsquueze me, but Lavena would like to know what the strings are for?" Lavena concerned on if she was talking to a real person or a doll. She bit her lip in frustration lightly.
