Description

Manehkin is, well, a mannequin. As such, she is able to showcase various clothing designs. Her default outfit at a standard is a horizontally striped lavender and mauve bodysuit, and it is a very durable and flexible one. It is a second skin of sorts, and serves as undergarments too.

On top of this, her sleeveless battle dress she normally wears is one made of a protective enchanted alloy capable of warding some attacks back at their deliverer. The main portion of the dress is decorated in a black and titanium colored diamond pattern, with several large center-less diamond shapes composed of white stripes and mauve trim lines. Small hot pink "X"s are at connection points. The very lowest portion of the dress is unarmored, and is a hot pink color with a light frill pattern.

A large hot pink "X" accessory holds a small mantle and collar in place around her neck and shoulders, and is accented with more small hot pink "X"s at connecting points. Her gloves are a hot pink as well, and sport small black "X"s just below the wrist as a design. Lastly, around her neck, several strings hang and wrap around, with various more hot pink and black "X"s, all small in size, hanging. Her shoes are black flats, and each have a hot pink "X" on them.

Her face is mostly normal, if relatively unmoving and slightly more pale, but her eyes, also hot pink, give rise to a secret of some sort. Even her skin seems "off". Her pink hair is kept short in a partial bob, with one braid worked through it across her hair that hangs to the left side past her shoulder, tucked just behind her ear. She wears glasses, but shouldn't be taken too lightly.

She apparently stands 5'8", and is of unknown weight. She doesn't give out any specifics regarding anything else.

Personality

Upper-class to a defined standard, she speaks properly and disdains this "slang speech" used nowadays. She also dislikes poor public behavior, whether overly excessive PDA, or acting rather drunkenly without regards to safety of oneself and others. She is also entirely reserved in opinions unless she deems it needed to get her point across. Appears to have been a straight "A" student in her studies, back in her past, and developed her observation and wit after acquiring glasses.

Equipment

Weapon: Ella Umbra's Warding Grace
An Umbrella, black with a frill trim, seems relatively ordinary, but is a decent artifact that Manehkin keeps. It has a rather unique enchantment that allows it to, when opened, block one incoming attack, regardless of said attack's source, type, or power. This power cannot be used repeatedly, but must recharge. The Umbrella also doubles as a nearly unbreakable weapon that Manehkin whacks her targets with, and a channeling conduit for some of her spells.

Specialization: Arrowfoe
Manehkin's inherent magic that keeps her alive also imbues her armored dress, enchanting it with the ability to resist non-magical ranged attacks. Resisted projectiles bounce off her dress harmlessly. This effect does not prevent certain non-magical projectiles launched with immense force, or energy based non-magical projectiles.

Signature Spells - Only Manehkin Knows These
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Spell: Crash Test
Manehkin's first signature spell has the center-less diamonds on her battle dress become filled with yellow and black bulls-eye targets before immediately charging with lightning speed at a target, ignoring collision with other units. Once there, she engages them in melee combat, with the goal of attracting her target's attention and attacks that would otherwise be aimed at allies. The bulls-eye targets disappear once either she or her target disengage the combat, allowing her to cast this spell again.

Spell: Materials
Manehkin's second signature spell manipulates magic to create a second skin on an ally made of durable material not unlike herself and her dress, reducing the effect of attacks against that ally by opposing forces either until either the skin is fully destroyed, or a duration of time has passed. She can cast this on herself as well.

Spell: Cabbage Patch
Manehkin's third signature spell.

Cast on Enemy: Manehkin's magic surrounds her foe in faux-cabbage leaves to sap their strength for a short period of time.

Cast on Ally: Manehkin's magic surrounds an ally or herself in faux-cabbage leaves to empower them over a short period of time.

Spell: 'Barb'ie
Manehkin's fourth signature spell grows long magical barbs out of her skin, bodysuit, and armored dress for a sudden and short moment, stabbing people close enough to her.

Spell: Voodoo
Manehkin's fifth signature spell harms herself by taking some of the magic that sustains her and placing a curse on a foe she chooses. Cursed targets slowly wither away until healed or a lengthy duration of time passes.

Spell: Dolled Up
Manehkin's sixth signature spell transforms herself into a small, magenta, bunny doll with hot pink ear tips that looks like a child's toy. A black "X" adorns her belly, and buttons with the same "X" pattern within them, one green, one yellow, signify something beyond understanding. Her mouth also becomes but a jagged squiggly line. As a doll, she becomes immobile. She can no longer move, but she is impervious to everything (she is not immune to pain and other such things, she just can't physically die). She is however able to be carried around, by friend or foe. She needs time to recharge before she can change back. While a Doll, her carrier gains access to Arrowfoe's effect.

History

There was once a poor tailor shop owner who decided to build his stand near The Descent Into Madness. His detractors and friends called him crazy, but he assured them it was for the best. His goal was to create clothing and armor that was enchanted with magical energy. The latent energy leeching from the Descent was all he needed for this.

It did turn out however that over time, his Mannequins would mysteriously vanish. He spent lots of funds on replacing them, only for them to vanish more. Frustrated at this, he yelled out a curse on the location he was near, and the Descent responded to his call. He was suddenly struck down by a powerful magical force. As he parted, he managed to touch his last Mannequin, one who had his best outfit tailored on it.

The magic drew the life out of the man, as it rushed into the Mannequin, and then it was done. Manehkin looked around steadily and noticed the deceased man. She did what was needed to take pity on him, but soon left him to figure out why she was spawned here, and what could come of it. She now wanders aimlessly, and offers her services as a Mercenary, using the magic that created her to provide a solid defense to anyone needing it.

Manehkin Pulsh's Story

# Gambit's Bar, 2011-12-12 21:56:07, as written by BBClock
Manehkin Pulsh was sitting at the bar proper, trying to act as if she was normal, and in doing so, she inquired on a fact brought up by one Rin Attenborough.
Worn out from dealing with a child? How peculiar for one such as yourself, wouldn't you say?
she asked with a reserved and somewhat upper air aura around her.

Manehkin continued, although she never actually bothered to look at Rin.
Humans don't have wings. This implies you are something more. Their construction implies a robotic feature to you, as if an android, so it would follow that you have nearly tireless capabilities.

Manehkin visibly cringed for a moment before regaining her composure.
Not terribly. I'm rather normal, and lack any "twin turbine whatchamacallits connected to this and that". Unless you mean I'm impressive in terms of my exuberance, in which case, thank you kindly.

Manehkin merely shook her head.
I'm no Familiar, whatever that is, and aren't too crafty in spells, but I have a few. Mostly for use in special situations...which we might be approaching soon.

Manehkin seemed alarm, but hid it well.
I'm not a "Magical Being", more like an ordinary person, like many of the lot here, only with the ability to use some magic. A mage, not a "Magical Being".

Well then...
she paused to turn and look at Rin, revealing a slightly off color face and hot pink irises, even a pair of spectacles. Her pink hair was more noticeable.
...my name is Manehkin. Pleased to make your acquaintance.

Manehkin Pulsh nodded and looked back at her umbrella she had on the counter, folded close.
You think so? Well, that's your taste. Names are pretty, but don't serve too much purpose aside from recognition amongst each other.

Manehkin Pulsh took careful note of the small scuffle ensuing, seeing as her companion suddenly vanished while she wasn't looking. If she needed to step in, she would. For now, she just kept a careful eye on the one who ordered the wine.

Manehkin Pulsh kept wary of the fight, and would likely intervene if those discs got out of hand. Such objects could easily mortally wound a man unawares. She did her best to remain inconspicuous as well though.

# Gambit's Bar, 2011-12-13 00:01:25, as written by BBClock
Manehkin Pulsh turned to casually regard the man who approached her. Her eyes were a hot pink color, and she wore glasses.
Yes?
she asked reservedly.

Her eyes still glanced at the fight occasionally. A bar stool was thrown now. It was escalating into a cheesy bar brawl reminiscent of old westerns.

# Gambit's Bar, 2011-12-13 00:03:31, as written by BBClock
Manehkin Pulsh responded still reserved.
You're welcome to sit. I do not drink however.

She did motion to a stool next to hers.

# Gambit's Bar, 2011-12-13 00:04:50, as written by BBClock
Manehkin responded in kind.
I appreciate the offer, but like I said, I don't drink.

# Gambit's Bar, 2011-12-13 00:07:30, as written by BBClock
Manehkin seemed uneasy, but responded as requested.
You can call me Manehkin. As for the fight, I'm only watching to ensure damage to property and the uninvolved is kept to a defined and extreme minimum.

I gave you my name...so I should probably acquire yours.

# Gambit's Bar, 2011-12-13 00:09:53, as written by BBClock
Bladewolf...distinct. I take it that that name is a nickname of some sort? Or do you really lack a proper name? Either way, names aren't important aside from recognition.

# Gambit's Bar, 2011-12-13 00:12:10, as written by BBClock
Manehkin Pulsh nodded.
Ahh, so it's a tribe name? That's impressive. Your name means something. That is one case where it is important then. As a title, not as a reference.

# Gambit's Bar, 2011-12-13 00:14:49, as written by BBClock
Manehkin answered straightly.
It isn't anything special. Just a name. It doesn't carry too much meaning.

Oh what a lie that was, but no one knew yet, so she was fine. It had everything to do with her though.

# Gambit's Bar, 2011-12-13 00:18:54, as written by BBClock
There is no trouble. Believe me. I also wouldn't recommend that.
she warned with a serious tone. On hearing him say he was kidding, she shook her head.
You will have a short life I expect. Around here, people take offense to that kind of gesture.

# Gambit's Bar, 2011-12-13 00:23:24, as written by BBClock
Manehkin offered reassurance.
If anything gets out of hand, I'll deal with it. Don't worry too much. Just stay out of their way for now. You aren't in a position to be able to survive one of those little flying discs she's throwing.

As for Werewolves, I'm not one to ask.

A quick glance at Korlyn followed.
Don't be rash. These days, Humans surprise many a "superior being" with their innate capabilities and strengths.

# Gambit's Bar, 2011-12-13 00:24:46, as written by BBClock
Manehkin Pulsh refocused her attention on Bladewolf.
If it gets anywhere near that, trust me, I'll intervene.

As for fighting that elf, don't get in over your head either. Know when not to pick a fight.

# Gambit's Bar, 2011-12-13 00:26:09, as written by BBClock
Just be careful.

# Gambit's Bar, 2011-12-13 00:27:26, as written by BBClock
Manehkin repeated her advice.
Do as you wish, just be careful.
