Mervin is shy when it comes to talking with anyone that he doesn't know... so just about everyone.

Claws, an untitled leather bound book, and comic relief. He can let out short controlled bursts of kinetic energy.
History
about seven years ago Cecilia, who is Mervin's father, met someone, Mervin's mother, and they hit it off. Things went at a steady pace and they... Um... did something... that... um... uh... there was a machine and uh...
Mervin's mother, Cecilia's then girlfriend, got pregnant. She gave birth and out came Mervin.
She tracked down Cecilia's contact information and now he knows that hes a father...
Mervin was sent to Wing City to meet his father for the first time a day ago, and hes about to arrive...
Mervin Frazier unfolded the paper air plain and looked at the picture. (could you say what the drawing was?) Cecilia looked around.
Mervin Frazier , obviously, had no idea what Violet was talking about. "W... happy place?"
Mervin Frazier looked at the part of Violet that he could see over the bar counter. "N... no... I just lik... I like music..." He said, and looked at his hands as he fiddled around with them nervously.
Mervin Frazier still played with his hands instead of looking at Violet. "M... ma... magic? You... you mean... you mean like... fireballs and stuff?"
Mervin Frazier looked at Cecilia, who looked down at him. "I... Dad said stay by him..." Cecilia looked at Violet and tried to size her up. She didn't appear dangerous. "I don't know," he started, "its some pretty dangerous stuff."
Mervin Frazier looked between Cecilia and Violet, unsure of what to do. Cecilia said that it was Mervin's choice if he wanted to see some magic tricks. (or whatever) "M... miss? Sure..."
Mervin Frazier looked at Violet. "Okay... Vio... Violinet... I, er... mean Violet! Uh..." Cecilia corrected him. "Oh, yeah... Violet. Hey, he can do that!" Referring to the fireballs she made, she pointed at Cecilia, who smiled dimly. "Not like that I can't." He said. He conjured a really small fireball in his right hand.
Mervin Frazier noticed Violet's ears. (Being stereotypical) "Your... an... Elf... right?"
Mervin Frazier thought to himself. Vampire!?!? "Uh..." He shifted uneasily in his seat. "D... did you say... Vampire?!" Cecilia put his hand on Mervin's shoulder. "Its alright, she won't hurt you."
Mervin Frazier looked at Violet and Cecilia. "Uh... um..." Her cleared his throat. "Uh... I... guess...?" He fiddled with his hand some more, then quickly grabbed a cookie and ate it, then grabbed another one. Cecilia ordered some more milk.
Mervin Frazier drink some of his milk, grabbed another cookie, and looked away shyly. "Oh, okay..."
Mervin Frazier still didn't look at Violet as he grabbed another cookie. "T... ten..."
Mervin Frazier , with widened eyes, looked at Violet. "Wow... your old! Wait...! I mean... uhm..." Cecilia smiled and interrupted him. "Uh, Mervin, thats not nice. She just... older then... uhm... everyone else I know..." He looked at Violet and winked.
Mervin Frazier ate another cookie and hoped Cecilia wouldn't remember that they hadn't eaten breakfast yet.
He did.
"Yeah well... could we get some breakfast? Maybe a burrito, and some cereal for the lad?"
Mervin Frazier smiled. "Y... yes. With syrup." Cecilia just reiterated his order for a breakfast burrito. "The boy really wanted some cookies." He said sheepishly.
shifted in his seat, anticipating some pancakes. Cecilia ate another cookie while he waited, and looked at Mervin, who saw Cecilia looking at him. "W... what?"
Mervin Frazier didn't stop for a fork, but instead grabbed a pancake as soon as the plate was on the counter and bit into it. "Mhmmm..." Cecilia put some more money on the bar counter and bit into his burrito. "Thank you."
Mervin Frazier kept eating, ignoring the silverwear nearby. "We could use some more milk, thank."
