Terra. Beautiful Terra and home to Eos Paradigm.
It had been a long time since she had set eyes on the actual planet itself instead of viewing it through holoscreens. If the woman were more emotional than she found herself these days it may have very well brought a tear to her eyes. Monika remained composed and stoic as ever, keeping that all too profession demeanor.
Propped in her seat, dressed in a matching Landwächter uniform, the woman watched Marcus carefully. Though make no mistake, it was not the eyes of his wife studying him but the political woman she had become. This was the first real task placed into Marcus' hands and she were to stand by only to watch and observe. There was no room for mistake and Eos had made clear of that fact before now.
Marcus was now their liaison and it was his job to speak with the Terrans. He was the man who was supposed to open the doors back home for Monika and she as the one who was going to bring Terra back into her motherly arms.
"Perhaps Marcus should hail them. After all, he speaks the Terran tongue," Eos said in fluent Belkan while looking over to the commanding officer overseeing the mission.
"Let them know we have Terrans in our numbers and militant citizens no less. I am sure that would provide an easier bridge to cross rather than forcing one. My people have not been too welcoming of foreign nations lately, and we have good cause," she commented, never once returning her eyes to her 'husband'—a husband from a marriage the Hegemony did not recognize.
Monika remained sitting where she had observing Marcus like a hawk; a predator. Fingers ran along her lip and the woman did not even blink while he addressed this "Jessica" whom belonged in the Terran Ministry of Defense. The introduction was too simple and business had not been started between the two nations. Things were going slow and when it came to politics, Monika was not a patient woman.
"He's too slow," she commented in the Belkan tongue, insulting Marcus without his knowledge. So far he was proving insufficient for the position. Eos was not impressed. The woman stood and walked to position herself next to Marcus, overpowering his air of professionalism.
"Jessica Wikham of the Ministry of Defense. I suspect that I need no introduction. Please, no questions. We are here on official business and I demand that you wire us to a higher echelon in the Terran Nation Government. I suspect to speak with Drulovic, immediately," Monika commanded while tossing a rather disappointed look over at Marcus.
"But, if you are unfamiliar with my status on Terra. I am Eos Paradigm, the Liberator of Terra and Leader of the Front. My true name is Monika Sheffield and yes, I am not dead but the details of that event is classified. Now, if you would, Ms. Wikham," Monika said while nodding once.
No time to be wasted. The Hegemony was not going to sit idly by for much longer. Terra was at stake and Eos was not about to let her people die anymore for wars between factions. Instead, she aimed to have Terra absorbed by the Hegemony, adding to defense, economy, and culture.
