The Chief of Liaita's Northwestern Tribe
Name: Morbid
Height: 23ft
Weight: 5,000lbs
Race: Niraan
Sign: Capricorn
Tier: High
Character Type: Stand Alone
Niraans are a race of hulkish creatures that hale from the plains of Soran, though they generally live all over the entire planet, the vast majority of them are found mostly on flat, open plains. Among the species, is a Niraan known only by the way he portays himself, and that is to put it bluntly: Morbid. The way he fights is rather unique for his race -- he is prone to violence, and he expresses it on a regular basis, by literally ripping off the limbs of his enemies and proceeding to beat the ever-livin' fuck out of them with it. Although, that may be normal for him, it definitely does not go for the rest of his race, more specifically, his brother Thane whose personality is polar opposite to his own.
Description: Towering at about 23ft tall, his unusual height, girth, and body mass gives him a unique quality that separates from others of his race. As surprising as it may seem, he is considered one of the smaller of his race, though that won't stop him from shattering Godzilla's face in one punch. And as that shows, size has absolutely nothing to do with strength.
Their color can range from black to brown or gray, and every mix inbetween. In Morbid's case, his skin makes him look like he just got through brawling with an Agronian in its broken down form, coating him in gray dust. Although seeming dirty, he is, in fact, extremely clean, yet for some reason he has a tendency to take out beings that are over a thousand times his own size, by burrowing inside their body and shredding them apart like one-man army of maggots, devouring a carcus.
The face of a gargoyle, the height of a giant, manifested in the form of one over-sized steroid. Morbid is built like a line-backer, minus the spandex, minus the helmet, minus the pads, though if he sees you with the ball, life expectancy is more than likely about to drop down to -45%. If his enemies thought he was a force to be reckoned with then, they ought to be shitting from the mouth, and vomiting from the ass in fear of what he is capable after receiving his special implants.
Both arms have been partially replaced with metallic prosthetics, doing little in the way of impeding muscle activity in the humerus though so as to allow Morbid to retain his immense physical power. His eyes have been replaced with genetically manufactured ones, resembling little in the way of actual change -- retaining their pitch-black sheen, with the obvious ability to detect any and all forms of energy. Though his ability to leap vast distances have in no way been impeded, the draconic cyborg Tage deemed it necessary to provide Morbid with internally mounted propulsion systems, granting him flight.
Personality: Alright, let's be honest here. Morbid is a very violent, very aggressive, and just outright brutal individual. Strangely enough, though he is still able to communicate with others without getting annoyed to the point of shoving his hand down their throats, and plucking at their vocal chords like a marionette. He is loyal to his people, mainly because he's their leader, and that's really the only reason you're going to get out of him.
If you pose a threat to him, he will slaughter you like a pig. No questions asked, he will rip out your intestines and make you suck out the shit, he will rip out a person's jaw and gouge out their eyes using their very own teeth to do so. And if he's feeling pissed off enough, clamp it to your balls like a bear-trap. If you threaten his little brother for any reason, he will make it a personal vendetta to hunt the person down and beat the manhood out of them.
Since pledging his loyalty to Singar, however, Morbid has since been forced to quell his anger, and focus on the more important task at hand: finding and catching his brother, Thane in the hopes of returning him back to his old self. The Corruptor has promised to assist Morbid in his search under the clear stipulation that he do as the demon asks, regardless of any moral implications, sympathies he may feel for the enemy, or anything else that may impede his path. What Morbid feels for Singar though is a combination of bewilderment at The Collector's bizarre habits and interests, and the hate he feels for having been pulled into such a gruesome predicament.
Niraan Traits
Insane Physicality: (7) Morbid can benchpress a whale, hurl a boulder at someone, and fracture a person's skull by blowing on them. He is a freak of nature, he can run at speeds that would make a cheetah shit itself, he can punch out a train (going at unreasonable speeds, of course), and as stated before make Godzilla his bitch. This is generally, how Morbid managed to become leader of his people, by taking down whoever tried to shove him around, mess with him, or do anything he didn't like. Now that he has his implants however, he is more than capable of dealing with some of mankind's more titanic weapons with even more tenacity than he was before, during an assault that occurred quite some time go on Soran.
That's just wrong: (7) Morbid has the ability to rapidly regenerate lost flesh, bone, and muscle-mass, though if he sustains repeated injury to the same spot on his body, it generally takes a lot longer to heal, and Morbid is very impatient about that sort of thing. As a result, he will literally rip off a piece of his own flesh and shove it into the wound, causing it to regenerate just as fast as it normally would, while the wound he just inflicted on himself heals just as fast, due to the simple fact that it has not sustained enough damage, and can thus - regenerate at a terrifyingly efficient speed.
This, in conjunction with the nanomachines flowing throughout his body provide Morbid with a database containing all the bio-hazards he may have encountered on Soran. It precisely because the planet contains so many deadly organisms, that the machines now possess an array of methods to compare one poison, bacteria, parasite etc to another. In other words, Morbid is almost always prepared for any type of bio-warfare that his opponents may attempt to bring onto the field.
Cyborg Implants
Right Arm: (8) The anterior piece of Morbid's prosthetic arm has been divided into three segments, each capable of splitting apart into three rotating saw-blades vibrating at high enough speeds so to as to mangle enemies, and rip through heavy artillery with very little effort. Each saw is sheathed in a metal casing that produces a magnetic field until molecularly reshaped into the saw-blades themselves. The magnetic fields act to contain a red plasma generator that rests within the center of the three saws, all of which function independent of all the others.
The blade that is produced as a result serves three functions: whenever an individual magnetic field is deactivated, the saw reactivates itself. The unstable plasma is scattered into thousands of tiny bolts upon being shattered by the saw's vibrations, triggering a spray-effect in accordance to the active saws. Firing off a forward shotgun blast effect however, is merely a matter of having all three saws active at the time, providing an even distribution in terms of area-of-effect. When all three saws are deactivated coupled with all three surrounding magnetic fields, then the typical bolt is launched from the weapon. All three of these variable energy-based attacks are capable of traveling incredible distances up to hundreds of miles in a single shot.
The secondary weapon is a 360 degree rotating coil-cannon, mounted to a thick axle (coating Morbid's humerus), and is fully capable of firing bullets ranging from incendiary, to armor-piercing, to anti-magic rounds which suck the surrounding magical energy into them, and drive themselves right back into the spell caster. Each slug is typically twice the size of a basketball, making them extraordinarily deadly, and liable to go through tens of enemies before coming to a tumbling halt. There is no re-coil due to the bullets being shot from a portal, connected to a sub-space repository, which has been known to cause enemies to hesitate due to the resounding hum that is produced upon opening up the portal, tricking the enemy into thinking a round has already been fired, only to have the slug completely destroy their bodies, followed by a the sonic boom that they'll never hear.
Left Arm: (8) The left hand is capable of opening up into a heavy cannon, drawing upon the matter around it and converting it into a powerful blast of pure, unadulterated energy. There is the additional option of unleashing a powerful pulse which travels through whatever it hits, and severely warps the object's shape. It is generally used for clearing away large swaths of land without creating too much racket. The fingers themselves are capable of firing out, and latching onto objects, connected by little more than nanomachines or magnetic connection depending on the distance.
The secondary weapon is rapid-firing gamma-particle gun. These particles are devastatingly radioactive, are the scientific equivalent to a decaying energy that most undeads or demons use as their primary method of attack. The radiation they emit upon impact however is enough to eat through most known matter within seconds, though without the chain of explosions that result from anti-matter blasts.
Posterior Mounted Tonfas: (6) These giant blades normally rest in slots situated atop Morbid's back, and possess handles in the center, and corners, in addition to being able to fold in half, forming a rail-like shape so as to generate better swinging power. Each blade is a full ten feet long and three inches thick, fully capable of crushing whatever they hit with either sheer blunt force, or slicing through whatever they're swung at due to their weight alone. This coupled with Morbid's insane strength make them a formidable threat to anything they come into contact with.
Nanite Swarm (8) The Swarm appears in the form of a giant black cloud of tiny, microscopic organisms that devour everything in sight, and slowly start to assimilate it. Once devoured they can recreate the weapon, mimicking every component and operate it with deadly efficiency. The more they consume the bigger the swarm becomes, and the easier it is made for them to take over even larger vessels.
Propulsion Systems: (5) Various nuclear fusion engines that emerge from his joints, and soles of his feet project red-hot jet of fuel out from behind, allowing him to fly for ridiculous amounts of time, requiring little in the way of cooling time due to the magnetic fields which contain the blasts.
Environmental Resistance: (5) Though Morbid rarely fights in space, it is important for him to be able to shield himself from the effects of radiation, and frozen depths of the black abyss. Generally Morbid will have little to no problem surviving in any other environment, regardless of how hot or cold it may be.
History
It was during a hunting trip that Morbid and his brother, Thane were on that they suddenly saw a giant ship hovering hundreds of feet over the mountains, abducting them from with little warning - removing them from the biological nightmare that they called home, better known as Soran. Rendered temporarily unconscious, it wasn't until they woke up that the two brothers were confronted by the draconic cyborg Tage who had explained their situation, and that his master, Singar had taken an interest in Thane.
At first, it had appeared as though The Collector had simply abducted the two Niraans for the purpose of gathering soldiers to fight in a war, however, it became very apparent, that Singar had other uses for Thane. After hearing about his plans for the shape-shifter, he was suddenly teleported outside of the ship, and forced to fight off several patrol fighters that had been investigating the area. Deftly defeating them, Thane suddenly found himself faced with an even greater threat: Dreadnaught. One of the Sons of Idea who quickly took notice of Thane's potential as a future Herald, swallowing the beast whole, and converting him into a member of the Val'Gara.
Devastated by this, Morbid cast his hatred for Singar aside and agreed to work for the fiend in exchange for helping him find and return his brother back to his normal self. Morbid does not question Singar's motives, nor does he particularly care what tasks he may be assigned to carrying out, regardless of how gruesome or amoral they may appear to be. He will get his brother back, he will return home, and he will slaughter anyone or anything that gets in his way without discriminating.
