Narruk Skinn

DECEASED

0 · 650 views · located in Twisted Path

a character in “The Multiverse”, as played by Moonscar

Groups

A group of battle-hardened veterans. These legendary champions came from all walks of life before banding together in the defense of Terra.

Description

"Do not be startled, though my skin looks withered and burned,
No, I am not evil, though my eyes are but black holes!
I tower over most humans, nine feet in all,
Though, my stature is lessened for my hunch
I look like a strange skeleton, legs and arms too long
My teeth are sharp, my smile too wide,
Why, won't you join me for a meal?

No?!

Do the skins I wear offend you?
The furry coats, my axe?
Maybe I look too frightening
But there really is nothing to fear!
That is...if you're a good boy or girl
And if not...well, that's much too bad."

Spells and Equipment:

Summons: Narruk has the ability to summon creatures and allies from his homeland, the Oasis. They include:

Fäulnis and Moder- Two large Carrion birds from the Third Island, Fäulnis with the body of an eagle, Moder with that of a Vulture. They can rip and tear at flesh with ease.

Greasy Pease- The horrid fatwoman of the Oasis, a powerful soldier under Narruk’s squadron. She is able to vomit powerful acids that corrodes anything from flesh to rock.
"Greasy-Pease, the horrific woman of the Oasis, who was fatter than a Sumo Wrestler by far, with sickly green skin and warts dotting her naked belly and face. Skin peeled from her form, and it all oozed, black and brown liquid spilling from the pores in her body.
She opened her mouth in front of Mirana, rotted teeth showing themselves, before black and green and yellow bile exited her throat and onto the ground before her.
It bubbled and hissed and ate away at the dirt, creating a hole where it landed."

Hans- The literal ‘helping hands’ of the Oasis, Hans’ body parts are all seperated into sectors, his head in two parts, his torso in three, his arms are two seperate beings, and so are his legs. They all have faces and ligaments of their own to use and move to where they please. They dance around with matches and bombs to chuck at the enemy and blow them away.
"The first one was the man made of hands, who everyone called Hans, who's torso, skull, neck, limbs, and abdomen could split and become seperate organisms, all with a different conciousness and wit. They swarmed around their target, all walking on..well, hands, faces grinning at her like the Cheshire Cat. They juggled around black stones...round black stones with a short piece rope hanging from one end. The two pieces of Hans' torso danced with matches.
They were bombs."

Turan and Tiaka- These two spur from the same skull, Turan with the upper half hiding his head as a sort of helmet, Tiaka with the lower jaw of the skull that replaces her fleshy one. Surprisingly, they are the most human out of the Oasis batch, looking almost completely normal save for their skull heads and green-grey skin. They do not wear a lot, for they see not the use of clothing. Turan is too quick in the air and Tiaka's skin acts as an armor on its own. Sparse cloth for decency only.
Their tactics come with teamwork. Turan battles from the air, sprouting fleshy wings similar to a bats upon his arms. He is very swift within his movements, tries to keep the enemy in one place while he weakens them.
This gives time for Tiaka to ambush them from underground, where she swiftly makes tunnels and enlarges her jaw to the point where tusks appear on the lower half. She will then attempt to rip them to pieces or drag and crush them underground.

Yao: A small, pitiful goblin-like creature that carries the appearance of a bipedal frog with the plated shell of an armadillo. The only real job it serves is to retrieve the summoning items that Narruk uses when they are left behind. It can travel both underground and on land. It is very fast, but it is weak.

Active Spells:

Most of Narruk's spells do not have a name. Most of them include gutteral mutterings and a simple action. One of these cause the spiderwebs upon Narruk's staff to glow with an acid that can sear through most enemies with ease.
The second of these spells is his ability direct and absorb spells into his staff by spinning it swiftly and muttering another incantation.
The third is the ability to shoot out waves or lines of flaming energy that burn and eat away at anything in its path.

Personality

It's not surprising that, at a glance, you'd think I would want to eat you! Well, you are small enough to just gobble up!
Oh, no, no, don't make that face! I am not going to eat you! I am too refined a gentleman to do such a thing!
Wait...why are you laughing? What was so funny? Something on my face?
What's that you say? I can't be a gentleman because I'm not human?
Well, I'm not human, but I am still a man, if that makes sense. I do not go so low as to bare down upon the innocent. True monsters, the ones with hearts of evil, those are my targets; they are the reason for which I carry these skins, for which I get my name!
And I wear them proudly; it is a badge of honor that says I am cleansing my world, making it less dangerous for the innocent, for the just, those who want to live without having fear or without instilling it in others.

I am Narruk Skinn, defender of the Oasis.

So begins...

Narruk Skinn walked into the noisy bar, having to duck at the door for his terribly large height. If anyone cared to turn, or if someone just happened to take a quick glance, they would be rewarded with a truly ugly, monstrous sight. Narruk had long limbs, his limbs and body thin, ending in large hands and feet. His skin, dried and riddled with wrinkles, was an ashy brown color, which would remind most of crumpled paper. His head beheld a long snout, sharp teeth glistening where lips could not hide them. Upon his scalp there was a small tuft of black hair, whereas everywhere else was devoid of any such thing. Mr.Skinn, named for the many skins, furs, and leathers he wore upon his body, who carried an axe upon his belt and strode with a slouched back. Possibly the most unappealing creature to walk into Gambit's.

Narruk Skinn turned his head with a swift motion, laying her predatory eyes upon the Omega Celion Hunter. It was a strange, foreign thing in his eyes, and though Narruk existed to banish evil, though every pore screamed for ravish the behemoth, Mr.Skinn did nothing but seat himself, albeit awkwardly, onto a stool much to small for him. One should not rush into situations when one did not know what you're rushing into.

Narruk Skinn followed the machines movements, focused upon the chaos it ensued. Though Narruk was not particularly fond of battling something he knew little of, but the fact that the machine was attacking even more helpless snapped the line. Right as Narruk has unstrapped his axe and took a gigantic step to bring the weapon down upon the machines head, it suddenly disappeared.
Bringing the swift downward motion of the axe to a careful halt, Mr.Skinn swiveled his head around in confusion. Did his eyes somehow fail him? Surely, things did not just vanish. Sweeping the bar with his eyes once more, he furrowed his wrinkled brows and cautiously sheathed his sword. With that look-around, he had noticed a lot more happenings in the bar than he had first spotted. There were more than a few frenzied brawls and magic-users.
What an unusual place.

Narruk Skinn turned his massive form, large fists swinging as he took long steps toward the counter. Narruk was so large that he had to keep his back even more slouched than usual, his long snout thrust to the front of him like a deadly spear. Loud thumps accompanied all three steps it took to get to the counter, which proved the only space even minutely large enough to seat him. Through his nostrils you could hear his breathing, air traveling through hollow tubes.

Narruk Skinn could see Zarnor eying him at the corner of his own eye. As he turned his head to get a better view, he gave a great yawn, spraying anyone within close proximity to his mouth a whiff of something awful. One waitress who happened to be walking by fainted. Though, not only was his breath bad, but the yawn, from a distance, gave sight of his sharp teeth, which looked very threatening pointed to Zarnor. It was completely unintentional.

Narruk Skinn opened the bar doors, ears catching a distinct squeak as he let himself in, ducking deeply as he did so. If anyone hadn't noticed him the previous night, then they would certainly be surprised to see the slouching figure now. Narruk was not a pretty sight; he was a monster among monsters. His limbs were long and skinny, ending in large hands and feet. His skin was wrinkly and brown, and had the texture of crumpled paper. Most stunning of all was his face; though somewhat humanoid, it resembled a broken skull with skin stretched over bone, jaw hanging loose, revealing sharp teeth where lips could not hide them. His eyes were completely hollow.
And, if Narruk wasn't scary enough on his own, the various skins, leathers, and furs he wore was abundant, added with the large axe he carried at his side.

Narruk Skinn sat down, rather awkwardly, onto a chair that was obviously too small and low for a giant like him. Even though he usually had a casual slouch, he had to bend down in the bar further so he wouldn't hit the ceiling. It was clear the bar was meant for midget humans, or something of the like. Trying to adjust, Narruk muttered something to the bartender. His voice was guttural and grotesque, teeth seeming to get into the way of communication. The bartender hurried away to get Mr. Skinn's order.

Narruk Skinn was having quite the difficult time adjusting in his seat. Though he seemed impossibly skinny, joints and bones poking out every which way, his height caused him to slouch so low that his head nearly bumped into the wall over the bar counter. As the bartender came back with a drink for Mr.Skinn, he took the gallon of water in his large hand, attempting to tilt it backwards enough to get a drink. This was very irritating with the teeth he had in his mouth, putting every beast, werewolf, and vampire to shame.

Narruk Skinn proceeded to do something very strange after he finished his gallon of water. Out of a pocket in one of his furs, which hung over his shoulder like the mane of a lion, he received a small bag. Within it seemed to be dried leaves, but it was hard to tell. Narruk glanced at the patron that had sat beside him, Hatenko, a rather strange looking humanoid. Mr.Skinn did not take a very long time to examine as he took out the fried crickets from the bag and proceeded to eat them.

Narruk Skinn finished the little bag of bugs, throwing it into the nearest trash bin three seats over. Hearing the little humanoid that had sat next to him speak, he turned his whole, massive head and neck to face him. The dramatic movement was the only way to really address someone properly, because the space was just that cramped. Narruk made another guttural sound, which sounded more like a low rumble than it did a casual hello.

Narruk Skinn entered the bar, a grotesque form crouching down, trying to get through the entrance. Narruk was a huge, nightmarish humanoid, with empty, dark eye sockets and a body that was too long and skinny to be possible. He was at least twelve feet in height, with a small torso and long, lanky arms and legs, garnished in apparel for which he had the name Skinn. His own skinn seemed to be dry, crumpled paper that was stretched over thin bones. As he looked around one would spot his teeth- they were black and sharp, stretching to his cheekbones where lips did not cover them.

Narruk Skinn offered no other reaction once more except for slightly opening his blackened fangs. After a short pause, Narruk fully opened his maw to speak.
"I never wished to fight. Do not be tricked by my appearance." He said, voice sounding like screams and roars and sandpaper in one. True, he looked crude, even with a scary axe at his side as a weapon, but Narruk was a banisher of evil, not a creator of it.

Narruk Skinn furrowed his brow and turned toward the bar to try and sit down, which was quite awkward, as the seats were quite short.
"You misjudge once more. Just because I am no villan does not mean I am a hero."

A tall, horrific creature bent down to enter the bar doors, planting a large hand on the cieling to make it easier to enter. This was not Narruk's first time in Gambit's, nor would it be the last, but many patrons would still be startled by his grotesque appearance. His torso and limbs were impossibly skinny and long, his skin looking like burnt, crumpled paper stretched over deformed bones. His head was the most frightening- his eyes were deep, dark pits with no ending, and his teeth were sharp and dark. They stretched to his cheek bones, where the skin on his lips could not hide them.

His apparel was made up of furrs and skins, which is what gave him the name Skinn. At his side was a spiked club, stained slightly red. Why a walking nightmare would casually stride into a bar was beyond most, but Mr. Skinn was merely looking for something to wet his long, parched throat.

Narruk Skinn swiveled his long neck from side to side slowly, searching for a reasonable seat. Gambit's was not famous for beign kind to it's too tall or strangely short customers, favoring only the medium sized. That was Narruk's only problem- that and the noise. However, it was a reasonable place to stop and rest.

Narruk stared at Ms. Lolita Cruz with what seemed to be either a blank or menacing stare. It wasn't very meaningful because his face always seemed to be stuck in the same position. Very slowly, like he did everything else, he opened his mouth to speak.
"I am sorry for the inconvienience. I am here only to rest for a small while." He said, voice sounding like screams and yells and grinding rock all at the same time.

Narruk Skinn took his blank glare from the young Zeke and the lovely Ms. Lolita Cruz. As her attention was directed back to him and she scolded him, Narruk did something completely normal and horrifying at the same time. He chuckled and smiled, which made him look absolutley murdurous. He did not mean to look so in the least.

"My appearance decieves my true nature, Miss, please be not offended. You will find not one corpse lying around by my hand." He half-apologized. Mr.Skinn was actually quite a gentleman. Very popular with the women in his world.
He turned back to Zeke and shook his large hand.
"Thank you verily, but I come for water and not alchohol. My body reacts mightily different to these things than your own."
