The photographer with the Magic camera.

Height : 5'5
Hair Color : Black
Description : Nathan is just a normal seventeen year old boy with a less than optimum body build. He poses no superhuman attributes nor the ability to cast magic himself. But with his camera however....
He often wears a brown pork pie hat with the "black 7 of clubs" stuck in its rim along with a long sleaved white shirt and a black button up vest. He is never ever ever seen without his camera.
Nathan is very ambitious, he is the kind who always want to be first on the scene of the action. if he sets his mind to something he won't give up until it is accomplished. He can be very kind and at times, chivalrous. He often hangs around places where fights break out frequently or goes on an adventure in order to maintain his status quo. He himself gets into the occasional battle to get some first person action photos, whether it be some random entity that just wants him dead or somebody he deliberately provoked.
Nathan only has one item of interest amongst his possessions, that being his camera. He doesn't recall ever receiving the camera in an unusual way, one day it was just there.
As you might know, the average ordinary Polaroid camera absorbs light through the lens to produce an image on one of limited exposures on a roll, if there isn't enough light to produce said image a flash might be used. This camera does just that...... and more. Unlike the average ordinary camera, this one has been modified in so many ways.
The Camera is an incredibly useful tool as first of all, it doesn't run out of film for what ever reason and it's a Polaroid camera so the photos are nearly instant! The film also has a secondary function... trapping spells, the trapped spells effectively removed and are stored on the polaroid film which pops out a minute after the spell was taken, the user (that being Nathan) can then use the picture with the spell in it to cast said spell once This however ruins the photo and pictures of magic are worth quite a bit.
The film the camera uses is highly volatile, and if over exposed ends up sucking all the light in the general direction leaving it in darkness for a few moments. it's really only useful for a quick getaway.
The camera's flash releases a very quick burst of kinetic energy, this dispels illusions and minuscule damage. The camera's flash strength is greatly increased after an over exposure. {EDIT: The flash in all essence is just a burst of raw energy taking the form of the light, being one of the simplest forms of energy while not being "light". It doesn't fall under any of the elements, it's more physical based than magical. }
Summary I understand, this can cause a lot of confusion so I'm just going to put it in a nutshell.
Spell seal ~ Camera filters said spell into a photograph where Nathan can use the spell once. Nathan is only human so this is difficult to preform as he must manually aim the camera and the whole spell must be in the viewfinder. This is Nathan's main offensive move, but if the opponent figures out how it works and stops using spells, Nathan really can't do to much against them. (He can save the spell photos and use them in a different fight or situation although he normally sells them before he uses them.)
Over Exposure ~ this occurs when the volatile film gets an is exposed to long and ends up absorbing all the light leaving 15ft in front of the lens in a temporary darkness. Used mainly for a quick escape.
Kinetic flash ~ The camera's flash can dispel illusions and does minuscule to everything else. (Becomes much more devastating if used after an over exposure)
(Yes, I know this stuff looks broken as all hell, but think about it. His main attack consists of using an opponent's spell against it, if the opponent is smart or can't even use magic Nathan can't do much at all! And Nathan possesses no abilities of his own, all the abilities are from the camera. No camera = no ability. Besides, I really don't expect him to do all that much fighting.)
Nathan Minolta is too young to get a real licensed job as a photographer, although he can however sell the photographs he collects various news stations, papers books and other media outlets to make a somewhat fruitful living. Day by day the consumers of his merchandise grow pickier and picker, they were growing tired of the same old bar brawls and glorified quarrels between minor wizards. Oddly enough, he loved the job...
