Description

Nicchi has large blue-green eyes which are vacant and blind, with a dark, horizontal scar slashing across her face at that latitude, and a lean, muscular build. Her heart-shaped face is tan and ornamented with a small nose and medium-sized lips, surprisingly free of freckles considering the time she spends outdoors, but dotted with numerous, albeit magically healed, nicks and larger scars. She has brown hair that takes on different tints in different lighting, like red-brown to honey-brown. If let loose out of its customary braid, her hair would fall straight to the ground. For purposes of her own, the princess keeps her locks long. Standing at five-foot-seven and still growing, the princess shows signs of surpassing her six-one grandmother - the Koulenyas are apparently a tall lineage. Under anything she wears (outfits usually consisting of crested tunics and leggings) Nicchi always wears chain mail.

Personality

Brave, stubborn, and hotheaded, Nicchi, used to getting what she wants, as royalty do, can be called something of a spoilt brat. Easily insulted, as comes with her enormous pride and ego that some nobility possess (perhaps through genetics). While most of her impressionable qualities are not particularly politically appeasing (brattiness, infeminence/tomboyishness, ignorance and indifference) Nicchi also possesses the qualities of determination, honesty, and nearly undying loyalty. Of course, here come more potentially dangerous qualities in a noblewoman: curiosity (killed the cat; so lord help the Princess), recklessness (good thing she's exceptionally brave), mischievousness (lord help the victims of her pranks and misdoings), and sometimes ignorance or cluelessness as that that can only come from years of being sheltered inside palace walls.
This is not to say that Nicchi has not known tragedy, however. When she was only nine years old, even then training to be a swordswoman, an assassin murdered her mother and father and blinded her. While she does make an effort to forget about the bad parts of her past, sometimes things will trigger her memory and she enters an exceptionally cold, silent, and bitter state.

Equipment

A large, slim sword, a light crossbow designed custom-made for her, several concealed daggers, and wears armor that looks somewhat like this in battle or training although she always wears a light chain mail shirt under anything she wears; even dresses. Dresses especially, even.
Unlike her grandmother, who currently rules the nation, Nicchi has almost no knowledge or talent for magic whatsoever - aside from the magical sixth sense she has developed that compensates for sight. She much prefers the sword, anyway.

History

Born and bred spoilt almost rotten inside the large, protecting castle walls of the capital, Nicchi chose to disobey all royal tradition and become a warrior, for a number of reasons, one of the reasons including the fact that she vowed to destroy the boy who murdered her parents and blinded her. Because of this she is considered unfeminine and a disgrace to the throne, unfit to rule once her grandmother, Queen Quonya, passes on. She rarely cares enough to even make an appearance at a ball, let alone dance or endure one; in fact, one time she missed her own birthday banquet while she was out on endurance training within the woods (though some say she planned it that way). Nicchi also has an awful habit of going off alone, disobeying orders, and being disrespectful to her elders. Most of her spare time is spent on the palace training guards, with the trainees. She is one of the leaders of the army, according to her own wishes and the promise to attend at least three royal parties per year (sometimes the girl wonders if it's worth it). Nicchi is respected among the soldiers, and considered both Princess and comrade, although she initially dislikes new recruits for their tendency to humble themselves to pitiful extents.
