Description

Olivia, affectionately known as "Olive" by her friends and family, shows obvious signs of her Celtic Welsh ancestry, despite her Latin inspired name. She is rather short, just barely 5'3" when on her tippy-toes, and weighs around 120lbs (her stomach is just slightly too round for her liking). Her hair is dark brown, nearly black in contrast to her ivory colored skin, and is cut neatly into a bob just below her jaw. Her eyes are about the same color as her hair, and she always wears eyeliner to exemplify her dark features. Her face is round and her cheeks haven't quite lost their baby fat yet, making her look slightly younger than she really is, but not enough so for it to be significantly noticeable. Olive's nose is larger than she would like it to be, her chin is slightly pointed and her lips are small but round. She seems to suffer from mild acne, mostly on her forehead and chin, although most people say it's barely noticeable and she just hyper focuses on it. Moving away from her facial features, Olive's build is petite, being that she is just generally small, but she works out often enough to have toned, healthy muscles in her arms, legs and stomach. Like the rest of her, Olive's chest is small and nearly flat.

Olive's wardrobe consists mostly of skirts worn above the waist, blouses with tight sleeves and depending on the weather boots with an inner-coating of fur or sandals with heels. Stockings are something Olive loves for some strange reason, and she will always be on the look-out for oddly colored or patterned stockings. Her stockings are the only real variety in her wardrobe because besides them, her clothing is rather plain. As for accessories, if she's in the mood, Olive may pull her thick bangs back with a small clip. She almost always wears a heart-shaped Tiffany necklace that her mother had given her for Christmas when she was thirteen, and it is generally the only thing she wears that has any significant value (money-wise).

Personality

Olive is a very interesting person to get to know. Upon first speaking with her, a conversation may seem quite dull and this is mostly because Olive is rather shy and somewhat wary about giving away too much personal information about herself to someone she knows little or nothing about. She acts politely around most strangers, since she believes it is wrong to judge a person before you even speak with them, but she is also very quick to pass judgment about a person. She has usually decided about ten minutes into a conversation if she wants to focus her full attention on a person. If she decides a person is not worth her time for whatever reason, she will kindly excuse herself from speaking with them, unless they are outwardly mean to her and then she might get defensive and angry. If you are friendly with Olive, you know that she is the type of person who loves to tell stories, whether they be her own stories, stories other people have told her.. or ones she has made up. It's hard to tell the difference most of the time, because she presents each story as if it's a classic fairytale that everyone already knows. Olive is a source of entertainment and amusement for her friends, and not surprisingly she loves the attention. She is not afraid of being in the spotlight and if she is lucky enough to grab your attention, she will hold it as long as she can. Olive can lie wickedly well, but usually only uses these lies to embellish her stories. It is no surprise that Olive is also a bookworm. As much as she loves to tell stories, she loves to read about them. She can't stand non-fiction because she finds it dull and boring but given the opportunity she will spend hours a day reading fiction stories. Olive is not the critical type, and will read just about anything fiction despite what others say about it. She even loves classics and has extended her vocabulary significantly by reading. The one thing Olive hates the most is being alone for long periods of time. She could happily spend hours surrounded by friends or books, but if neither are nearby to entertain her, she feels too idle. Olive tried to pick up sports to make herself less idle, but found that most sports were not suitable for her small body type. She ended up settling on visiting the gym when she got too bored and therefore became a more active person. Close friends of Olive tell her that she is often stubborn and obstinate, once she has an idea in her head she refuses to give it up no matter how good an argument someone may have against it. She likes to win arguments and doesn't feel especially bad for exploiting others opinions, she believes that she knows what's best for people a lot of the time. This can be annoying to people, but Olive is proud of her arguing skills and tries to utilize them by joining controversial debates. To sum it up, as long as she's in a good mood, Olive is a generally easy person to be around, but avoid arguments at all costs.

History

Olive was born and raised in Apple Valley, California as the eldest of three girls. When she was born, Olive's parents were young and still in college, so she spent a lot of time with various caretakers until they finally graduated. Olive never got particularly close with her parents due to the lack of time they spent with her, but when her younger twin sisters were born when she was ten years old, she instantly became close with them. Occasionally, Olive felt out of the loop since she was not a twin like her two sisters were, but she grew to accept that she would never be quite as close with them as they were with each other, and shrived just to sustain a good relationship with them. When she was a little girl, Olive had spent a lot of her time in her room surrounded by books, and they became her best friends when she was lonely. She is not lonely anymore, but Olive still likes to take time out of her day to curl up with a good book and read. At age 18, Olive graduated from Apple Valley Senior High School and moved all the way out to Minnesota to attend Brown College. Now in her junior year of college, Olive has decided to take a summer trip to the Black Hills by recommendation of the photography club. She has promised to take tons of great pictures, but will they be of the Black Hills, or something.. more?
