Cocky and arrogant, P is works out most of the situations in his head and is quite sure in his deduction skills. Unlike L and Near he is more like Mello in the ways that P likes to get on the crime scene itself and see first hand what the evidence looks like in it's original environment. P tends to have his own ways of doing things, and will debate validity until someone can convince him other wise. Like L N and M he has a nasty habit, his is all based on gum chewing and his mouth tends never to be empty.

History

Pollux was rejected at birth before even seeing his parents, he was a survivor of a abortion procedure and "born" 2 months premature. Watari brought Pollux to Wammys to respect a life that was almost lost. In some way he may of even believed the boy was chosen to live as abortion procedures in England were meant to be fatal. P moved into the orphanage and felt a constant air of competition in the air with the other children. Everyone of them wanted to be the next L, but non of them even knew who the guy looked like. In fact only the privileged few ever got to see the higher students that were potentially going to succeed L. In time Pollux grew a strong bond with B, someone that was far more hands on then the rest not wanting to wait for the evidence to come to him and make a examination from afar, but rather someone who jumped in the middle of it all and sorted things out from the belly of the beast. Both of them understood sometimes laws restricted evidence too much and more extreme steps sometimes needed to be implemented to get the job done.

( Manga spoiler warning)When B received the eyes of the Shinigami and went on a death spree in Los Angelos( End spoiler), P was crushed. The one person he'd looked up to for so long, and his methods ended up getting his colleague corrupted and killed. Being so close to B, other students started to feel unsure of P's intentions and lose trust in him. P was constantly pushing himself to remain ahead of those that were trying to pick him apart in mental ability using B's notes on how to pursue a form of raw knowledge. Combining what he already knew with the methods that made B superior to him, Pollux earned recognition and was sent to help Near and the SPK with the new Kira.
