Raina Warsol's Story

Raina Warsol Raina entered the bar silently, her feet just barely brushing the ground to give the appearance of walking. It seemed to be a nice place, well-furnished and not too broken down. Perhaps here will be the place she can finish her business. Her hair blew in an invisible breeze, blowing the scent of the ages past from the girl wearing the Victorian dress.Politely, Raina looked away from the couples in the room and walked to the counter. Something told her they had specialty drinks for ghosts.

Raina Warsol Raina saw a woman enter severely wounded, and quickly glided to her on bare feet. "Are you alright?" She said in a soft, hollow tone. "Scratch that - you obviously aren't. Would you like a healer?" The best she could do was put phantom cold hands on the woman to cease the pain, but she didn't want to be rude and so held her hands awkwardly at her sides.

Raina Warsol Raina stepped back from her and the man who quite obviously loved her. From wounds to mush, that was fast. Turning nearly translucent, Raina walked back to her spot at the counter, staring at her hands. As she somehow held the bottle, color and life seeped back into her, hiding the outward appearance that she was dead.

Raina Warsol Raina glanced at Ana, sitting next to her. "Excuse me." She said in her soft, hollow voice. "I'm Raina. Pardon me asking, but why do you wear that?" She didn't want to say it was odd, her being the one in the Victorian Juliet dress, but it was unique. Raina was, of course, referring to the headdress the witch was wearing.

Raina Warsol "Well..." Raina crossed her feet. "Yeah. I mean, I've seen a lot, but yours is somehow different. You don't seem to be the type to wear the things like that, anyway. If you-" But the ghost cut herself off, her cheeks paling in her way of blushing. "Sorry, sometimes I forget my place." Her blue eyes focused on the cup in front of her.

Raina Warsol Raina snickered. "No, no I didn't. But wouldn't it be more inconspicous to wear normal clothes? But I shouldn't be talking - I'm the one stuck in this dress. Sorry." The ghost shrugged.

Raina Warsol Raina frowned. "Well, I can't touch it. No one can, except for other ghosts like me. And then I'd have no clothes. Which wouldn't be good." She finished her drink and it vanished. "Excuse me, but I have to go. It was nice talking to you." Without another word, she 'walked' out of the bar.

Raina Warsol Raina entered the bar, feet barely touching the ground to give the appearance of walking. Unless someone touched her, it would be impossible to label her as a dead person. Her Victorian dress blew in a ghost wind, and she sat at the counter. The girl sunk through the chair imperceptibly before she adjusted her molecules and sat properly. She ordered a ghost-special drink, and watched the people thronging around her.

Raina Warsol Raina blinked at the cheery man next to her. "Excuse me, sir." She began, as he looked like the type of person to require a 'sir' after his name, if just habit. "But..." She gestured to his hair, having never seen a young person with white hair before. "Your hair is white, sir."

Raina Warsol Raina smiled, hoping he didn't realize she was a ghost, as she had all her color filled in and seemed to be normal besides her intricate, old fashioned dress. "I'm Raina Warsol. It's a pleasure to meet you. If you pardon me asking, sir, but why? Did you pick the color?" It looked very nice on him, and she felt herself drawn into his brown, hypnotic eyes.

Raina Warsol Raina's cheeks, in her way of blushing, paled. "Why, thank you, sir. I was performing Juliet in the classic when I was, er, stuck, so I'm very glad I looked nice. But..." She held a finger up to her lips and cocked her head. "I think you probably look better with silver. What color were you trying for?"

Raina Warsol Raina giggled, hand covering her mouth. "Sounds like fun. I've run into a few magical creatures, but they weren't very interesting. Which do you prefer?" She smiled. He was easy to talk to, a stranger, but still like a friend after a few pleasantries.

Raina Warsol She raised an eyebrow. "The Hydra? The snake with a whole load of heads? I've heard about them. Sound rather...intimidating. I like griffins, to be honest. Most half-and-half things." Raina smiled back. He had a nice smile, but looked sort of out of use. "I used to like books, too. But now I can't read them, so the interest has faded. So, what creatures have similar mating habits?"

Raina Warsol Raina pursed her lips appreciatively. "I would've never thought. One side, there's a horse/goat thing, and the other, a draconish chicken. Odd. So, what else do you study and read?" The girl crossed her ankles and leaned back, careful not to touch the counter.

Raina Warsol "So...Magical science book? You're contradicting yourself." He looked really happy, just talking about books. "What are political books? Are you referring to biographies, party histories, or what? I'm not sure. Me, I read drama and adventure. It's funny how those who hate trouble generally get a whole lot of it."

Raina Warsol She chuckled. "That's right. You...read. High adventure." Raina deadpanned. Literally. "Politics are useless - I think it'd be much better if we all lived at Survival of the Fittest. Or smartest. Or most neccessary. Whatever." The girl smiled at him.

Raina Warsol Raina gasped as a fireball hit Cody on the back, fluttering nervous hands over him before resting them on his burned back. Her phantom hands were cold, always cold, so they should help numb the pain. "What was that? Are you all right? Calm down, the burn's not bad." Raina's hands nearly passed through him, but she stopped herself in time.

Raina Warsol Raina glanced around the room to see a man call upon fire to get another off of him. "I suppose so." She noticed his wince and removed some pressure. "I-I'm sorry. I can't hold it." One hand clasped around it and went right through for emphasis. "I can only touch flesh and special-made ghost objects. I'm sorry."

Raina Warsol She removed her cold hands from his back and stood up. "I'm really sorry. I wish I could help, but numbing stuff is all I can really do." Raina sat back down, staring regretfully at her hands intertwined in her lap.

Raina Warsol "You're welcome, I guess. But I've always wished I could do a little more. I'm so useless as a ghost. I can't even remember my lines!" Raina smiled bitterly at Cody.
