The students, staff and affiliates of the esteemed magical educational institute that is Academia Celestia.
Samuel 'Blaze' rubbed the back of his head, running his hand free of the wooden bark in his hair. He raised a hand to gently prod at his mouth, lowering it too look if he'd been hurt.
There was a little blood, but not much. Samuel smiled and wiped his mouth then wiped the blood onto his shirt. He looked around, his eyes befalling Xian. "Uh..sorry." He apologized, getting to his feet.
The victor shouted at Samuel from across the garden. "You suck, you should quit the academy!"
Samuel raised an eyebrow. "The fight's over! I'm not fighting you again!" He roared back, waving his arms at Jack at the distance they were separated at.
He turned to Xian. "Oh right, sorry about that...again...Didn't mean to nearly land on you or anything, you know..Gravity and all that Jazz." He greeted her, holding out his gloved hand.
Then a sudden loud boom sounded, the grass waving lightly as Samuel was once again, taken off his feet and slammed into the tree, this time being showered with leaves. Samuel spat a leaf and a caterpillar out of his mouth.
"Oi! Cheap shot you bastard!" He roared, brandishing a firework that he'd quickly drawn out of his bandolier.
Jack held up his hands. "I'm sorry!" He then darted back inside, He knew what Samuel and fireworks did, which usually ended up bad for the both of them.
Samuel scoffed, slipping the firework away. "Jack-ass." He muttered.
He brushed himself off again, moving his hands upwards to tear off the goggles that clouded his eyes. Focusing on Xian now.
"Hey! I can't help it when someone launches me into the air, I'm not aerodynamic you know!"
Samuel 'Blaze' was about to retort when she turned away from him. "Well, you're mothe- Uhm.." He stopped short to watch Xian work her magic. He knew she was focusing by the blood that was drawn from her lip. He didn't bite his lip that hard..nor did he concentrate on shaping his conjured fire, he more or less just threw it at the smug looking practice targets and completed the classes.
He leaned against the tree, stroking his chin lightly, taking note slowly, maybe he could apply her shaping technique to his fire. He turned his head towards Nini, Tessa and Kael. Observing them lightly before turning back to Xian.
"You know, I'm not that much of an idiot." He said flatly, looking rather insulted.
Samuel 'Blaze' was training for when real magical combat came, not taught by a bunch of note-books and large tomes, although both had their bonuses and failures, he certainly wasn't stupid in his own opinion. "Yeah, I am. And I meant to go flying, it's part of the whole thing! Oh yeah. I'm Blaze." He introduced himself, holding out his hand again. Of course, Blaze wasn't his real name, just a nick-name other than Sam. His student's robes were ripped and stained from many duels, alchemical accidents and firework testing.
He glanced at her hair. "Oh that's cool, along with the awesome water sculpture." He said, smiling at her brightly. He ran his free-hand across the scar along his nose.
"So, you are?"
Samuel 'Blaze' held up his hands. "Woah! Woah! Did I say anything about hating water? Man! I like water! My own sister is older and uses Ice magic herself! Why would I hate you? Man! What the hell? It was just a nick-name too! God man!" He yelled back at Xian. "What is your problem? I wasn't being hostile!" He swung his arms around before making a long and displeased huff. He then noticed the burn scars.
"Hey! I'm sorry for what my 'brothers' have done to you! but I'm just an apprentice, the proper term is pyromancer! I don't even have membership to the brotherhood of flames yet!" He frantically tried to look for something before stuffing his hands in his pockets and holding out a handkerchief.
"I'm sorry okay? I'm going to go..go away then." He said, looking around.
This was the first time he'd met a water mage, and this wasn't what he was expecting.
Samuel 'Blaze' blinked. He stopped waving his arms around in surprise. "See!" He exclaimed. Kiriel was the best mage ever in Samuel's opinion, he still coudn't forget that time she corrected his method of throwing a fireball and not to blow his own face up, he was trying to impress her at every turn, she certainly seemed better than a brotherhood of psychotic pyromancers, even though Samuel aspired to be one, he didn't want his brain reduced to ash.
He tried to pat Xian on the shoulder. "I'm sorry if I disturbed you or anything."
He rubbed his mouth again, it was still bleeding. He hadn't noticed, wiping his mouth clean again he stuffed his hands in his pockets.
"Oh hey! Miss Kiriel! I wanted to ask you something!" He said enthusiastically.
Samuel 'Blaze' looked rather confused for a second. "Oh right! My uncle said battle-mages make really good tutors, and I was thinking.." He paused to listen to Xian. "I didn't sail over the sky! Jack violated the rules and cheated in the duel!" He protested before shaking his head. "And I wouldn't want to fight you, I've already been beaten up enough as it is!" He grinned sheepishly.
He truned to Kiriel. "I was wondering if you could teach me a little, you know..I could become your apprentice." He wasn't that bad of a pyromancer, he was actually pretty good.
Samuel 'Blaze' grumbled. "Alright, just you know..save a spot for me or something." He mumbled dejectedly. "No, it wasn't..Okay maybe, but come on! It was just stunning spells!" He said, looking up at her. "And I would've won!" He said flatly. He scratched his head before tilting his head at Xian.
"How about you hang around with me, I'll help you out." he said politely. Offering his hand before he noticed his watch, he was overdue for writing lines.
"Oh crap." He grinned at Xian and then Kiriel. "I have to disappear, you know..I might've..blown up the alchemical vats in the potions closet." He mumbled, He then waved and tore off down the corridors.
Samuel 'Blaze' burst into the bar waving his arms about, there was apprently something going on outside, it was petty compared to what was going on inside the bar. He instead stopping waving his hands about and stood just inside the door-frame.
The door hit him on the face and sent him sprawling back inside. "Ow!" Was the loud yell from outside.
He kicked the door open this time and closed the door behind him.
He patted himself down, searching for a firework just in case.
"This is fucking awesome!" He yelled, running towards-- Stumbling from the shaking towards Villain. He looked to be pretty interesting.
"Hey! Do you like..What do you think of the fight? But whose the demon chick? I mean..that clothing doesn't look very protective one bit..But then again, what's with the crusader?"
Samuel 'Blaze' raised his eyebrows. "Dude! Did she just...Man, I want acid blood now...But it wouldn't go well with my stomach." He muttered. He looked up at Ms. Fortune. Then back at Villian, looking down at the chair before sitting down with a thud. "Ah thanks. Yeah but..The crusader seems to be pretty powerful in his own right, with the whole...tentacles thing." He mumbled.
"This gets me in the mood for fighting, You know? But my buddy Jack is off learning, See me and him usually duel around this time, but I decided to have a break and head over here." He replied to the black robed man.
"So what's with the creepy clothing? You belong in a guile or something? You know..Mage's guild or 'somethin?"
Samuel 'Blaze' nodded. "Yeah, but don't you know? Bad-guys wear black." He shrugged, laughing a little at his own joke. "You don't...Well that sounds pretty awesome...So right, you're talking about about those forbidden arts and stuff? Right?" 'Blaze' put a hand under his cheek and propped himself on the table, using his other hand to hold it out. "I'm Sam, but most people call me Blaze, since you know..I'm a pyromancer." He nodded.
"Nice to meet you mis- What the hell? Is she talking- She..What is she implying?" He looked confused at to what Ms.Fortune had just yelled, he was only eighteen anyway.
He fumbled around with his sword before noticing she was talking about the crusader.
"Oh right..my bad." He mumbled, sticking the sword back into it's sheath and sitting back down. "So yeah, I dunno, can you teach me any magic?"
Samuel 'Blaze' stared at Ms.Fortune for a couple of minutes before lowering his gaze back to Villain. "I should really move this sheath onto my back." He grumbled, reaching around and pulling the sheath free from his belt and placing it around his back, fumbling with the strap until it hung right and proper on his back. "Yeah, that feels better than pulling my belt down with it." He grinned.
Samuel nodded. "So that means I don't have go with Academia Celestia's normal training? I can just join up with you guys on the side? or do I have to switch to you for schooling?" He asked. "Because you seem alot cooler than Scarlet."
Samuel 'Blaze' looked dejected slightly. "Oh, alright. Well, Scarlet runs Academia Celestia, she's pretty hot. But..I don't think she goes for the guys." He shrugs. "Dunno why. And Academia Celestia is where I train myself to become the best pyromancer in the entire world, I'll be a blazing warrior to live up to my fathers name!" He almost shouted, the fierce determination sparkling in his eyes.
He meets the man's look with a smile. "It's a typical school I guess." He suddenly bent down at the sound of a shot-gun blast, his hand rushing towards a firework on his bandolier.
Samuel 'Blaze' stopped short of grabbing his signature weapons. "I..okay." He nodded. He started counting up his friends and rivals. "I think like..A hundred or so? but between you and me, I think me and my friends are actually going to get somewhere important.." He nodded again.
"And there's this elf. She's like..everything you could ever need in a hero, her name is Kiriel. And she's like...A master pyromancer already."
Samuel 'Blaze' shook his head. "No, I thought if you just moved fast enough, you could evade them, Or I could just melt them before they hit.." He replied. "Yeah, I'd like to see you around there, I could introduce you to Tessa and stuff." He nodded. "And Scarlet is pretty interesting, I just call her Miss Dai though, can't call her Scarlet or I get hit over the head by Kiriel." He muttered.
Samuel 'Blaze' nodded. He took out his journal. Flickering though the pages until he found the page he wanted, ripping it from the book. He took the pencil from the book and drew a detailed map towards Celestia. "There you go." He passed the page over to him.
"Oh, so the best bet for someone like me is to constantly move?"
Samuel 'Blaze' was too busy looking at the cleavage that belonged to Ms. Fortune. He shook his head, slapping the side of his forehead before turning back to the man. "Me too, me too." He replied. "Yeah, I'm looking forward to fighting for the battle-mages that Kiriel has, she said she'd teach me when I graduated." He said with a nod. "Which should be in a couple of years and all that." He leaned back on his chair.
"I never knew boobs were a weapon, figures." He muttered under his breath. "So what have you got to do here?"
Samuel 'Blaze' tapped his chin. "Paladins, The good types, 'me father, 'me mother, Just anyone or anything that hates the word 'forbidden'." He nods. "You might get along with the necromancers here though. He looked at Ms. Fortune.
He simply muttered something about a deadlock.
Then it clicked, she was playing with them in the beginning, this was the end game now...Wasn't it?
"There's a large building in the west of wing-city..Abandoned factory I think."
Samuel 'Blaze' nodded. "Oh you just asked for what I knew, but Scarlet might dislike you..alot." He remarked. "Then there's George, my father. Anna, My mother." He tapped his chin. "Kiriel, Tessa would love the kind of magic you have...Then there's a couple of others I know just by appearance."
He heard the crash, saw it and he didn't like it. He winced in displeasure and rubbed the side of his neck. He wanted to fight with Ms.Fortune. But she seemed to be looking after herself just fine, enjoying it too.
It still didn't stop him from wanting to fight, he looked at the man almost asking if he could fight.
Samuel 'Blaze' grinned at the man. "It's no problem, just ask for Sam at the academy."
He tore off his coat, laying it on the table, revealing the large bandolier. He placed his hands upon the goggle sand let them snap onto his eyes. Lowering his hand towards his belt and taking out a large fire-work.
He threw it into the air, towards Lake.
Samuel 'Blaze' turned his head to shout at the man. "I'll be fine! These people are small-fry..I think." He then went back to staring upon the fight, his eyes darting around beneath the goggles. He stomped his feet down, resuming his combat stance.
The fire-work exploded with a large boom, sparks and a red flash.
A loud roar, fire blazing out of nowhere to spread across the back.
Then a dragon formed out of sparks rose from the fire, almost as big as the interior of the bar, it took to the air and charged right at Lake.
Samuel was already moving, withdrawing another smaller firework from his bandolier. "Come on then." He taunts Lake.
Samuel 'Blaze' blinked at the man. But he had to keep the dragon in control, waving his hands about he made a strange gesture as the dragon increased it's pace, flying back towards him and then towards Diomodes. Before throwing a firework at Lake one for a distraction, when it hit the ground it exploded into sparks and fire, creating a blaze that might block him and Lake one in separate areas.
The dragon would glide right for Diomodes. It was to serve as a distraction, to help Ms.Fortune in her goal of torturing him, not that Samuel knew.
He flickered his eyes back towards Lake.
He raised his hands to both Diomodes and Lake.
"Come on then, if you think your hard enough."
Samuel 'Blaze' winced, moving his foot back. "I'm helping 'Er" He jammed a finger towards Ms. Fortune. "And you want to know why I want to fight?" The dragon faded away, becoming nothing but ash upon the ground.
He withdraws his father's sword, unsheathing it and holding it ready. "So if you want to kill her, you're going to have to go though me."
Samuel 'Blaze' glared at Lake. "I ain't no position of power! Are you kidding? Man! I'm just an apprentice, I ain't even got a master!" He clenched his blade till his knuckles turned white with the pressure. "If you're going to try and kill me to get to your friend..I'll have to stop you. I've made the decision, okay?" He clenched his teeth and backed away slightly, the fire burning down to ash.
He was stumbling ever closer to Diomodes.
Samuel 'Blaze' jumped back, tripping over his own foot and slamming onto the floor with a loud "Ouf!" He grumbled darkly under his breath, wiping his mouth and then simply looking upwards from his uncomfortable position on the floor. He'd been hoping he could fight something, but he didn't get any chance to prove himself. He made a derisive snort.
Getting to his feet, he sheathed his Saber and walked back towards the man.
"So, what are you planning on doing with the Succubus?"
