Sano

He was named after Casanova, the infamous womanizer, by his parents in the hopes that their son would become as successful in the seductive arts as his namesake. However, what they didn't count on was him, an incubus, being gay.

Description

Tall and lanky, Sano is an attractive young man who appears to be in his late teens. He has a slightly boyish look, and his mannerisms are rather feminine - mirroring his soft features. His hair is a reddish brown and his eyes a friendly gold - unless he reverts to his alter ego, during which time he loses the illusion he casts over himself to fit in and his eyes have shards of burning red in them.

Personality

A nice, caring guy who, despite his heritage, doesn't enjoy inflicting pain - unless he's in his alter ego, a detached fragment of his Demonic self which arises when he can't get a hold on his incubi urges. While he is a masochist, his alter ego is a sadist.

History

Giacomo Girolamo Casanova de Seingalt, or Sano to his friends, was shunned by his parents - both influential Demons in Hell - as soon as they found out he was a nice young man interested in finding his one true love who, it turns out, must be male.

Sano's Story

Sano picked at the sleeve of his black shirt as he entered the bar, looking for someone who would try to pick a fight. He was even more nervous than usual as of late and, searching as he was for Demons, he completely missed that he had, in fact, sat down beside an Exorcist. Smiling at the man, he said, "How are yo - " His sentence broke off as he realized who, exactly, the man was. "Oh - just - please don't kill me! I'm not like the others, I swear!" he babbled.

Sano nodded nervously, plucking at his sweater with a renewed vigor in his fright. "Sounds good," he said, then coughed to dispell the high pitch his voice had adopted. Looking back in front of himself, he ordered an iced tea and busied himself in the meantime with studying the bar countertop.

Sano was a bit unsure if he should reply at first, but then nodded quickly. "A - a bit. My family doesn't like me," he admitted, still tugging on his sleeve. With a thank you to the woman who got him his drink, he added, "Though, you seem a bit . . . sad, yourself. If you'll pardon the intrusion."

Sano stared into his drink before taking a slow sip from the straw. After a few seconds, he looked up at the wall behind the bar and replied, "I don't . . . act like one of them. At all."

Sano bit his lip, tapping his fingers absent mindedly to a Mariah Carey song before noticing it and clenching his hand into a fist. "I'm just . . . different," he said as way of explanation.

Sano blushed slightly. "Is it that obvious?" he asked in a small voice, shoulders hunched slightly.

Sano gave out a small laugh, playing with the straw in his drink. "Thanks. Never thought that an Exorcist would be the one to be so kind to me . . . "

Sano nodded shyly, taking another sip from his glass as he tucked a straying strand of hair back into place behind his ear. "As Demons go, Incubi aren't really blood thirsty, so . . . I can say that I understand what you mean, at least partially," he replied. He smiled shortly at Richard. "Um, sorry, I kind of find it rude not knowing your name yet burdening you with my problems . . . I'm Sano."

Sano gave Richard's hand a short shake before withdrawing it, feeling a bit odd about the contact. "So . . . " he said. "Do you know what this place is called? I just happened to stumble in here."

Sano nodded. "Thank you." He hesitated before asking, "Are you alright? You smell like . . . scotch. A lot of it." Immediately afterwards, he shook his head vigorously. "No, no, it's alright - sorry for prying."

Sano 's lip corners flickered up in a small smile. "Sorrows, hm? Would the cause of your sorrows be the same person who accosted you?" he asked, drinking some more of his iced tea.

Sano sighed. "And she's collecting parts of Grandmother's soul? Really, what is she thinking? . . . " he said. Glancing up at Richard in surprise at his own words, he continued, "Sorry, I'm just thinking out loud . . . don't mind me."

Sano sighed. "As an Exorcist, she should know better . . . tapping into her power will have . . . undesired effects. After all, she was our Queen before being 'killed', and so it stands to reason she was very powerful," he said, fiddling nervously with his sleeve once again as he stared to the side and up at the ceiling.

Sano rubbed at his wrist. "I see," he replied carefully. "So you know, then, that Lilith's soul will eventually take over her body? Assuming she doesn't die from the transition, of course."

Sano blinked, obviously confused. "Oh bullocks," he whispered.

Sano blinked as Doryn sat next to him. He was . . . well, handsome, and Sano couldn't help but notice it. The fact that the Legacy's sword was digging into his side didn't help distract him from the Puppeteer of Fears, and he swallowed nervously, moving away from the other male as quickly as he could without drawing his attention - or so he hoped.

Sano gulped. "Um h-hi," Sano stuttered, quite acutely aware that his sweater had quite a bit of give and parts of his tan skin were now showing. "Do you think you could not hold my sweater like that?"

((I love Sano. He's so CUDDLY. Unless he switches over to his alter 8D))

Sano laughed nervously, feeling heat rising in his cheeks. "I wonder myself sometimes. Now, if you'll excuse me, sir - "

Sano coughed at impact, whirling around and stumbling into the bar in his confusion. "What - why?! What'd I do?" he asked, really hoping that the other man would just leave him alone. His other half hadn't been out in a while and it would be far too easy for him to get loose.
