Description

Shackles is a tall Skeleton, standing almost seven feet. He's also decidedly large, and rather intimidating. Dusty bones compose his frame, and he shambles slowly around when not in combat. He does manage to keep up with Antheia somehow though. Once combat begins, he actually moves deceptively quick as far as dead things go.

His armor has a very unnatural and unnerving aura around it, and it doesn't look normal. He's ancient, yet the armor still looks as if made yesterday.

Personality

Shackles has no personality to really note, aside from his noticeable and fervent loyalty to Antheia.

Equipment

Shackles is a very sturdy and powerful Skeleton, capable of taking immense punishment without relenting. Shackles seems to be a warrior through and through, utilizing heavy armor, a sword, and a shield. He also seems decently speedy. Not marathon speed, but able to dodge some slower attacks.

Weapon: Banshee's Saber
Shackles always spawns with this weapon that he possessed back when Antheia befriended him. He can wield it well, as if he has had a millenia of mastery in it. It possesses a deathly chill to it, and merely looking at it can generate a feeling of exhaust in someone.

Shield: Haunting Buckler
The shield that Shackles always possesses. Antheia looted it from a fallen soldier she found, and gave it to Shackles to use. He shows an unnaturally good display of skill with it. The buckler itself is rather scary and intimidating to look at.

Armor: Poltertgeist Armor
A special armor set that carries with it a feeling of dread, an unnerving aura. The armor seems ancient, yet looks mysteriously as if made yesterday. It is a full set, and possesses a ghostly shroud around it.

Specialization: Spellbreaker
Shackles' unlife is allowed by magic weaved in through Antheia's interference, and this innate magical nature lets him resist a portion of many spells and effects effortlessly. Opponents may find their spells having less effect then they thought the spell would have, not to mention combining alongside Antheia's wringing of their magic.

Primary Skills - Ω
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Skill: Cleave/Parry
Shackles has two main mode of offense he employs. While in his Cleave stance, he adopts an offensive posture and fighting style utilizing precise strikes at his foe in an attempt to cleave them in some fashion. While in his Parry stance, he adopts a defensive posture and fighting style that focuses on blocking and parrying attacks to possibly damage or disarm his foe. He can switch between both at anytime.

Skill: Bash
Shackles bashes his opponent with his shield to push them back or knock them off balance, allowing him to advance on them or reposition himself to a more advantageous spot. Shackles is more likely to use this while in Parry stance.

Skill: Double Strike
Shackles swings his sword twice in quick succession to try and open the opponent to further attacks, or allow him to back off from their own. Shackles is more likely to use this while in Cleave stance.

Skill: Indomitable
Shackles stands his ground in protection of Antheia, becoming resistant by an extreme degree to all damage and effects placed against him. Additionally, his Bashes and parries are more effective. Shackles cannot utilize this final hour ability outside of Parry stance, and must be defending Antheia.

Skill: Death's Advance
Shackles grimly advances on a single target, shrugging off a large portion of damage and effects from any opponent aside from the one he is intently focusing on. When he reaches his target, he delivers a killing blow that saps their energy to restore his condition to full. Shackles cannot deal a killing blow to unwounded targets and must be in Cleave stance.

History

Shackles was destined to remain a fallen warrior long ago. Residing in the ruins of a once great tower, it was a chance meeting with Antheia that gave him another chance. On her visit to the ruins, she discovered Shackles and reanimated him. Compared to the rest of the fallen warriors there that she also reanimated, he was more skilled then them all, and singlehandedly defended her from the creature who still resided there, slaying the beast without a second thought.

Through this display of skill, and his natural tenacity, the others fell, but he did not. So Antheia bound him to herself, and took him with her as an ally. He has since proven a stalwart and dependable companion to the frail child mage.

Shackles was important enough that he had his own profile even. He was the skeleton mentioned, and he warily watched everyone in the bar, trying to identify whom attacked Antheia to start. It was steadfastily guarding the fallen girl however.

Shackles was careful at watching everyone in it's offensive stance. It was very protecting of Antheia at the moment, and was almost ready to lunge at Dyew it seemed.

Shackles had enough of this "harming Antheia" bull, and quickly focused it's sword upon Erza. The swing was quick for a Skeleton and was intended to cleave her in half.

Shackles was enraged now. More magic meant Antheia was in more pain at the moment, and Shackles did not like this. He ran with surprising speed at Erza attempting to do a double strike maneuver that would open Erza to attack hopefully.

Shackles was indeed in the middle of his swings when the ice block crashed on top of him. The magic composing him immediately faded as he was killed. He'd need to be resummoned. The magic that he left quickly transferred into Antheia, this time in noticeable strands of magical energy being dragged to her.
