Captain of the Zero Division of the Gotei 100. It is said that he is descends from one of the four noble families of Spirit World. Rumors have been known to rise that no one has ever lived to talk about his Zanpakutou (Hajime no Shinosaki).
Tala wears the standard Captain uniform along with a white diamond headpiece called a kenseikan (symbolizing his nobility as the head of the Shinosaki family) and a white scarf made by the master weaver, Tsujishirou Kuroemon III. The scarf is made from the silver-white, windflower light silk (ginpaku kazahana no uzuginu) and is a family heirloom that is handed down from generation to generation and is given to each Shinosaki family head. Ten large houses can be built for the cost of just one of these scarves. He also wears white gloves that cover only the back of his hands.
Tala is the 10th head of the noble Shinosaki clan, one of the four great noble families in Soul Society. As such, Tala acts in an aristocratic manner. He seems always serene and apathetic towards other people, even when he is actually deeply conflicted. He is also extremely calm, even in battle, and is very seldom surprised by even the most drastic of actions.
Tala wields that of a mysterious Zanpakutou which has been stated to be glass-like by sight and almost invisible to the naked-eye.
He used to be teased, usually it seems to his annoyance, but still regularly played tag with the younger Zaltos Orikalkos using "T1", though he never was able to beat him, a score that upholds to the current time.
