A construct of an unidentifiable material, Subject 665 was found in a nearly ruined state in the deep forests of Grimore. It is now under use as a machine of contact.
In its normal form, Subject 665 is found as a perfectly round, unmarked, metallic, and hovering ball, about one foot in diameter and floating three feet high. It spins as it moves, and apparently has its own free will, although bonded by magic to the whims of the inhabitants of Grimore.
In the form found when it was unusable, it was in four pieces-- as though cut in half, then in half again. The 'piece' of each piece that was part of Subject 665's combined center seemed to be hollow. When the rust was fixed and it was imbued with magical energy, it somehow spontaneously came together.
Also found near the disparate pieces was a nameplate inscribed with the words 'Subject 665.' The finding of that resulted in the naming of the construct 'Subject 665.'
Mechanical.
Subject 665 runs on a Thermodynamic-Magic-Conversion Engine, or TMCE for short, which takes the surrounding heat and converts it into magical energy, or Magitons, as the wizards of Castle Cadremus have identified the imagined particles of magic. Thusly, the nearest cubic foot-radius of Subject 665 tends to be extremely cold; it tends to be an average of -459.57 degrees Fahrenheit.
However, it can also be set to several other options, the most otherwise used being 'Maintenance', which set the nearby temperature to an average of about 55 degrees Fahrenheit.
Within the center, Subject 665 can contain a great deal of Magitons that may be tapped into by those attuned to it (Rigel Lake being the most notable), or, alternatively, by the Subject itself, releasing a focused laser-like beam of magic that has similar effects to a normal laser, or, more normally, for locomotion.
