Every member of the regiment is different, though most are human. They each have their own distinct traits, but each carry the insignia of the 404th.

Personality

Each man and woman has their own unique personality. Each one has seen combat, at one point or another, and all of them are loyal to themselves, and to the regiment. They are, all of them, incorruptable, and only take orders from their CO, who varies, from day to day.

Equipment

The standard body armor each Wraith wears is made from a secondary form of Adamantium, a metal alloy that many are familiar with. Highly resilient and nearly indestructible, this metal is cheaper to produce than pure Adamantium, but is less durable. The plates can be warped or shattered through tremendous blunt-force impact, such as that from a supernatural being, and can be damaged or destroyed by electricity, or similar energy-based blasts (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adamantium). Each suit, however, has been seen and reinforced by some of the greatest spell weavers from all over the Multiverse to resist(though not fully) the effects of magic, to try and counter this weakness. Spells will be less effective on the men and women of the Wraiths.

Each Wraith carries a 5.56 assault rifle, with a .45 handgun to back it up(makes and models will vary from person to person), fragmentation grenades, flash and concussive, as well as a standard-issue KA-BAR combat knife, made from the same metal as their suits. As such, these knives can cut through almost anything, body armor and blades included.

History

The regiment has only recently been formed. Each of its members come from other militaries or private security forces from across the Multiverse, and each one has come here, to Terra, to make a difference. Where cultures collide from so many sources, tensions can quickly rise, and disputes can pop off even quicker. The regiment was formed, primarily, to deal with other military entities from other universes who feel they can bring the party to Terra, and many people have felt they've had enough. Though they are a peacekeeping force, first, they will not hesitate to bring to fight to the transgressors.
