The Zuru (Scrafty)

A Scrafty who gives sound advice, and leads the gang of Striking Dragonz. They may be thugs, but they do follow a very Robin Hood-esque style of operation, stealing from the rich and giving to the poor.

Description

The head of a very successful Magazine called "Pokérus", based on the helpful virus of the same name, "The Zuru", as he is called by everyone, is a force to be reckoned with. He is a Scrafty, sometimes called a Zuruzukin, hence the moniker "The Zuru" (itself a play on Guru).

Like most Scrafty, he is a bipedal lizard-like Pokémon. His oval-shaped eyes, that have droopy gray eyelids, are set to the sides of his head, and his teeth are like that of a Croagunk. He sports a red crest on his head, similar in appearance to a mohawk. The yellow skin that once covered his head as a Scraggy has molted off and hangs on his shoulders, similar to a jacket hoodie. His body is orange-colored, with thin arms and and a gray, scaled belly. He carries his lower body's molted, yellow skin around his legs, making them resemble pants, although some of the skin seems to trail off to form or cover a tail. On his tail is a single red spike.

It is oft rumored that his kicking attacks can destroy concrete, and that he can spew acid from his mouth. The first is true, the latter false. As the head of the Striking Dragonz gang, he is in a group of thugs who are very ghetto in nature, beating up anyone who intrudes in their territory (although he claims that the beatings are only against those who deserve them, like "The Godkrow"'s mafia gang members).

Personality

"The Zuru" is a nice guy overall, and a great replacement for the former Striking Dragonz leader that lead the gang into notoriety (a reputation he has fixed). He also runs a Magazine Publication, and oversees the process, as well as hosts the "Q&A with "The Zuru"" section, where he answers questions that readers are encouraged to send in. He might also make a few snide and silly remarks on their drawings if they attach one.

When not doing either, he enjoys spending time hanging lazily doing nothing of interest, or attending conferences and other such things. While he cannot speak English, a fangirl usually assists and does translation for him.

The Zuru (Scrafty)'s Story

# Sol Avenue, 2011-03-12 19:40:44, as written by BBClock
The Zuru (Scrafty) was the leader of the group of Scraggy. He and his cohorts, like the Krookodile and it's cohorts, all turned to look at Titania.
Hrm? Oh? A Human coming to aid these fangles?
he asked no one in particular. Fangles was apparently his offensive term for referring to new-ish people, like the trainees.

The Zuru (Scrafty) answered Titania.
So, toots, you ain't a fangle to these areas, right? If you aren't, then maybe we can strike a deal.

The Zuru (Scrafty) answered.
Him? Yeah we met, sure, we trashed him good while he tried to take advantage of one of you female Humans. No biggie. Told him to keep his hands off of pretty girls like yourselves.

He was quite casual.

The Zuru (Scrafty) seemed surprised at this.
Whoa whoa! Youngsters? As a result of two incompatibles? Are you one of "those"?
he asked.

# Sol Avenue, 2011-03-12 20:05:54, as written by BBClock
The Zuru (Scrafty) answered.
Yeah, those. Female Humans who carry that rare genetic defect that allows them to create life with us. It can either be the best thing ever, or the worst ever.

I know my stuff.

# Sol Avenue, 2011-03-12 20:10:15, as written by BBClock
The Zuru (Scrafty) responded.
I see. Most unfortunate for you...I guess. I don't know. Us Dark-Types mostly satisfy our own goals, not caring for others.

# Sol Avenue, 2011-03-12 20:38:13, as written by BBClock
The Zuru (Scrafty) answered.
Hrm. Better try and keep that a secret toots. See, I'm one of the more noble guys around here. You go to any other gang, they'll be all over you, in seconds flat.

# Sol Avenue, 2011-03-12 20:39:43, as written by BBClock
The Zuru (Scrafty) continued.
Why? Because not only can they now produce an offspring with something that can't spit fire at them, but they'll also give a big ol' "Screw You!" to Ahriman, get my drift?
he finished.

The Zuru (Scrafty) answered.
Hrm. You're league material. What if we help you and you simply rat us out? See, you need to give a good payment here, toots. We won't help otherwise, unless you can convince us why we should.

# Sol Avenue, 2011-03-12 20:50:03, as written by BBClock
The Zuru (Scrafty) scowled and shook his head.
No. Just no.

Not good enough it seemed.

# Sol Avenue, 2011-03-12 21:08:59, as written by BBClock
The Zuru (Scrafty) answered.
We have principles. Steal from the rich, give to the poor. Screw the Government and all that. For the people, not against. We don't take kindly to aiding Government, Rich people, and Police/League.

# Sol Avenue, 2011-03-12 21:14:51, as written by BBClock
The Zuru (Scrafty) thought.
It depends. If that person is rich, or government, or league affiliated, then no. Otherwise, yes.

# Sol Avenue, 2011-03-12 21:19:32, as written by BBClock
The Zuru (Scrafty) seemed confused.
Who? Nah, that outfit will get you cred around here. Keep it, it pleases a lot of guys around here. They like hard workers.

# Sol Avenue, 2011-03-12 21:25:50, as written by BBClock
The Zuru (Scrafty) answered.
Well, toots, perhaps we can work something out there. You can fix our machines for a couple of days, and in return, we'll help you out.

# Sol Avenue, 2011-03-12 21:28:38, as written by BBClock
The Zuru (Scrafty) smiled. He knew that some of his followers would be pleased to have their machines fixed.
Okay then. How do you want us to help?

# Sol Avenue, 2011-03-12 21:32:57, as written by BBClock
The Zuru (Scrafty) answered.
As would any Male in his right mind looking to breed easy. You Humans are deemed a challenge only because you have other Pokemon who listen to you. Once you're without them, you're fair easy game.

As for where he might be, even I haven't a clue. We usually find him on the streets somewhere picking on young street-bound girls, so we chase him off.

# Sol Avenue, 2011-03-12 21:40:44, as written by BBClock
The Zuru (Scrafty) answered.
Us? Good Times? Nowhere really, we just guard our turf, patrol it, and do whatever comes our way.

# Sol Avenue, 2011-03-12 21:49:44, as written by BBClock
The Zuru (Scrafty) listened intently. Idly, he wondered if she knew what he was mentioning earlier with his statements on fixing machines. Not that it mattered. The Scrafty and his Scraggy would follow.

The Krookodile decided not to.

# The Ruins, 2011-03-12 21:57:49, as written by BBClock
The Zuru (Scrafty) shrugged.
Depends. Either the Break will open the door, or it'll permanently damage the keyslot and lock us out.

# The Cell, 2011-03-12 23:59:09, as written by BBClock
The Zuru (Scrafty) sent his Scraggy in to search, which they did. As they did, he asked questions.
So, you say you spent a few days in here?
