Personality
Veronica is a patient, tempered woman with remarkable self-confidence and a concern for those in need. While she does usually exemplify those angelic traits, other, darker desires frequently compete with her good intentions, creating an internal conflict that is oftentimes very difficult for her to ignore.
Sometimes she'll let her emotions get away with her, causing her to make irrational decisions when it especially involves a loved one. Since most if not all of those she loved are now dead, she doesn't really exhibit this problem too much.
Veronica is an exceptionally smart woman, with an eloquent tongue and beautiful phrasing.
Equipment
Twin blades that she either carries on her hips (when on a job) or kept in storage in an unknown location. She can summon them when she needs them desperately by simply drawing a rune in the floor and pressing her right palm to it. She has battle armor that she rarely uses, since she mostly does inside jobs nowadays rather than full-scale war.
History
Her history is convoluted. Spirit a conflict in and of itself.
Veronica (Roni) Walters stepped into the bar, nudging it open with her foot as she peeked inside. Her black hair fell in front of her face, which she pushed back with an annoyed huff. Slipping inside, she allowed the door to bang closed, one hand digging in her pocket for her ciggarettes.
Veronica (Roni) Walters brought the stick to her lips, lighting the end and taking a drag. She held in the smoke as long as she could before exhaling through her nose, smoke clouding around her face as she strode from the entrance and straight to the bar counter.
Veronica (Roni) Walters popped the cigarette in her mouth, holding it with her teeth as she reached back to tie her hair into a messy knot at the base of her skull. Her eyes flitted to Cryoface, one dark brow raising as she plucked the cig from her mouth, exhaling away from his face. "Um, coke is fine. You practice that line alot?" she smiled.
Veronica (Roni) Walters took a seat at the bar, finishing off the cigarette before mashing it into a provided ash-tray on the counter. "Unending energy, hmm? That's what I drink Coke for." she chuckled, closing her eyes and running a gloved hand over her face. "Something tells me you don't get much of a break around here."
Veronica (Roni) Walters cocked her head to one side, lifting her left arm to show him a few bullet-scars of her own, though, it was apparent that they had done some damage. "Remind me not to put in an application here. . ." she said, smiling warily. "Good thing you had help. It's a pain to dig out a bullet and heal yourself when you don't. . .actually have a healer around to help you."
Veronica (Roni) Walters shook her head. "Waters down the soda. Thanks." she pulled out a bill and pressed it into his hand. A trail of goosebumps erupted up the length of her arm. "So, does that kind of stuff happen often in here? Fights?"
Veronica (Roni) Walters spread her hands out on the table. "I only carry them if I think its absolutely necessary. The twin blades are such a pain to cart around, and they tend to scare the crap out of some people. . ." she looked up at him, then over at Alexis. "I think you have a customer."
Veronica (Roni) Walters sipped at her Coke, her eyes closing in pleasure as the carbonation bubbled against the back of her throat. A little hiccup emitted from her throat, but she chugged the drink anyway, feeling a sugar buzz ride up the base of her spine.
Veronica (Roni) Walters is once again inviting those with no one to talk to to go ahead and say hi to Veronica. =D))
Veronica (Roni) Walters played with the cup for a minute, looking down into the glass, then using the glass like a telescope to observe the wildly distorted patrons of the bar. She smiled to herself, feeling remarkably silly.
Veronica (Roni) Walters looked at Marrow through the glass then, realizing it was still pressed up against her eye, quickly put the glass down and smiled at him, wiping away a few droplets of soda from her face. "Uh, going well, how about for you?"
Veronica (Roni) Walters tilted her head to the side, taking his hand with her gloved one and giving it a firm, strong shake. "Veronica Walters, but most people who know me well enough call me Roni."
Veronica (Roni) Walters sat back, running a hand over her head. "I, uh, usually. . ." she blinked. "Nothing in particular. I fight people mostly, but that's when I'm on the job. If I happen to find a few people I particularly like, I'll go do something really stupid. . .you know, something that everyone remembers but was glad they didn't actually do it."
Veronica (Roni) Walters laughed.
Veronica (Roni) Walters facepalms at horrendous grammatical presentation. O_o))
Veronica (Roni) Walters of self. . .))
Veronica (Roni) Walters smiled, her cheeks flaming with embarrassment. "I do it for payment." she said sheepishly. You could say I'm a mercenary, but I don't do the assassin-for-hire thing. . .I just fight, I don't know." she looked away, playing with her glass. "Not too much in my life to personally fight for."
Veronica (Roni) Walters stood, brushing off her cut-offs and waving at Marrow. "Well, it was nice talking to you." she said with a smile. "I got people to see, dude. Later!"
Veronica (Roni) Walters stretched her arms over her head, the vertebrae in her back cracking a few times. "Man. . .of all the times to start feeling drowsy. . .stupid ineffective Coke. . ."
Veronica (Roni) Walters eyed the sudden, smoky materialization positioned conveniently on her right hand. "Well hello. . ." she said with a raised brow.
