Whisper glided into the bar quietly and gracefully, each step seeming to have a purpose and a place - almost like a dance that was too subtle to see the steps. She seemed out of place in the bar, too innocent and frail, and yet there she was. She was dressed in a long flowing light blue dress that seemed almost more a gown than a dress, perhaps somewhere inbetween.

She made a confident approach towards Milo who seemed to be with a customer and appeared to work here. She smiled pleasantly and reached a hand out touching his arm gently to get his attention. "Excuse me? Could I have a moment when you're available?" she asked politely. The brush of her fingertips would leave Milo experiencing a very distance and vague sense of calm.

Whisper followed Milo back behind the bar with that same gliding rhythm to her step. "I can take care of myself," she assured him, though how she could do that is a little uncertain - she certainly looked as if she would fold under a strong wind.

"As for the other questions... The customers are what drew me to this place. I enjoy traveling and learning about the world and I heard that this place attracts people from all corners of the world and beyond."

Whisper seemed to contemplate the question for a moment before replying. "Dodging bottles of Vodka right?" she asked, recalling Hellshine's actions from earlier.

Perhaps a demonstration would be the fastest way to explain she thought. Moving to stand within arms reach of Milo she offered her arm. "Here, reach out and touch my arm," she instructed.

"It's perfectly safe", she added to re-assure him that nothing negative would happen.

Whisper raised her hand and a slight shimmering seemed to fill the air between her and Milo. It was too faint for anyone but Milo to notice probably and as he reached forward, his hand seemed to connect with something solid. The energy shimmer and wavered briefly under his touch and could perhaps be overcome with constant pressure or enough force. For now however, she lowered her hand back to her side and the shimmering vanished back out of existence.

Whisper smiled warmly. "Thank you," she offered politely while taking the offered books from Milo.

Her previous display hardly dampened the look of frailty to her as she turned to set the books down on the counter. As Milo moved away to tend to a customer, Whisper kept a watchful eye on he surroundings between turning pages. If she was learn all there was to learn she had to be diligent in her observations.

Whisper looked up from the book that she was flipping through. "Oh... forgive me. Most people just call me Whisper," she answered pleasantly.

Whisper brushed a strand of white hair back behind her ear that had fallen loose. She seemed very intent on the two books in front of her, but apparently still found it in her to pay attention to Milo. A shake of her head was offered in reply to his inquiry. "I don't mind either way." After all, not caring what people called her was how she wound up with the nickname Whisper in the first place.

Whisper flipped through a few more pages, diligently processing the information as she went. While she wouldn't remember everything that she was reading, she would likely recall enough that she could get by with a quick refresher. Between scanning the lines, she worked on processing all the strange arrivals and behavior going on in the bar. Clearly Milo had not exaggerated about what to expect here.

Whisper looked up from the books and noticed Horace helping himself to the bar. Apparently Milo had stepped outside and she briefly wondered if she should say or do anything. After a moment of contemplation she decided that she can't let the place get robbed on her first day. Sliding out of her seat in a single fluid graceful movement she slipped over to Horace.

"Pardon me sir? Are you going to pay for that?" she asked politely. "The bartender seems to have stepped out for a moment, but perhaps I can help you until he returns?"

Whisper shrugged slightly. "It's my first day," she explained. She wasn't dressed as an employee and she looked awfully fragile for working in a bar so perhaps that was why he had overlooked her. She then quoted him a fairly hefty price - he hadn't stolen a cheap bottle.

"I can see to that cut also if you want. No charge," she offered with a friendly smile and brush of her hand to push an unruly strand of hair from her eyes.

Whisper shook her head, "You misunderstood. I said I would see to that cut of yours for free, it's on me, not the bar. The drink though will cost you if you want it." She took the opened bottle that Horace had pushed away. His gruff manner didn't seem to bother her in the slightest.

Whisper contemplated the situation. The bottle would have to be thrown out anyways, and it was probably the best she was going to get out of the guy and so she quoted him a substantially less hefty price before adding.

"Let me know if you change your mind," she replied pleasantly as ever. Excusing herself she returned to Milo, handing him the opened bottle and whispering something to him - filling him in on Horace's actions. Better to let him take over the situation she thought.

Whisper had resumed her seat behind the bar, dutifully studying. If she was going to work here, she wanted to do it well after all. Even if she was only going to be there for a few months, she never liked doing shoddy work. She didn't look up as she replied to Milo, her voice as gentle and friendly as ever.

"Oh he didn't get to me."

She brushed a few loose strands of hear back again, they seemed to like rebelliously falling down over her eyes. "I think he was the only one that came in while you were out - that wanted a drink," she added in case Milo was wondering.

Whisper decided to make herself busy clearing and cleaning some of the vacant tables and took a break from the book she was flipping through. Getting a clean rag from beneath the counter she made her way through the room, carefully moving from table to table. As she worked she hummed a soothing tune to herself ever so softly.

The humming was quiet enough that the patrons probably wouldn't even hear it except for when she passed near their tables briefly. She found herself imagining the instrumental music that went with the tune as clearly as if it was playing out loud and it left her with an utter sense of serenity and calm - even in this strange place.

Whisper frowned softly at Quark and interrupted her work to move over to his table.

"Excuse me sir?" she asked. "I trust that you're going to pay for the damages to the lamp you broke?" she asked with a slight gesture towards the broken lamp.

"Also it is not sanitary for your pet to be bringing dead animals in here," she added, pointing at the kitten and the dead mouse.

Whisper picked up the dead mouse by the tail, thoroughly wiping down the table where the kitten had dropped it. "If you'll excuse me a moment," she said before making her way out to the side alley of the bar to dispose of the dead animal.

Having disposed of the dead animal, Whisper made her way back inside and to Quarks table. She had already written up an estimation of the damages on a slip of paper that she set on the table as she drifted past. The situation seen to, she resumed her clearing and cleaning of the vacant tables while humming to herself once more.

Whisper finished her rounds on clearing and cleaning the tables and made her way back to the bar. Just about to resume her seat, Milo approached her. Reaching into her pocket she pulled out the money she had received for the broken lamp and handed it to him.

"Someone broke a lamp." she offered as an explanation to the money she was giving him as well as an answer to his question. She then returned the dirty cleaning rag and settled back into her seat.

Whisper looked up from the book she was flipping through behind the bar. Brushing a few strands of hair from her face to get a better look at Nikolai she smiled warmly. "The bartender had to step out, but perhaps I could help you in the meanwhile?" she offers politely. As long as he didn't order anything too complex she imagined she could handle it just fine.

Whisper smiled pleasantly and resumed her seat. For a first day things weren't going too badly she thought - even if she wasn't supposed to be serving yet, But what else was she to do without an actual bartender here? She quickly became re-engrossed in the book that rested atop the bar in front of her. Flipping through the pages she diligently scanned the information contained within.

Whisper made her way into the bar with a pleasant smile on her face as always. Today she was dressed in a light blue ankle length skirt and a white blouse. She seems even more lively today - if that was even possible. She flitted her way across the bar and carefully skirted the pair of patrons apparently engaged in combat. Her second day working here and she was already rather used to the violence.

Whisper remembered Milo's words of caution about HellShine as she slipped behind the bar to avoid the fighting going on elsewhere. However, regardless of warnings, she put on her friendliest smile and approached her carefully. "Ms. Hellshine?" she asked while brushing an ever annoying strand of hair out of her eyes.
