One can only imagine what horrors went on down here... The faint stench of blood still clings to where stains survive to this very day; against ragged stone walls and in rusting iron cells. The Jailor's office is cut off by a locked wooden door and in the torture chamber, a skeleton still lies upon the stone slab on which he died. Monstrous tools are strewn around and levers and chains line the walls and hang from the ceiling.

"Definitely not," he answered as he began to walk around; slowly examining it. "What's so scary about a dungeon? No... The upper levels, with all the maze like corridors and all the pictures that watch you... That's far more entertaining."

She inhaled, enjoying the scent in a way. It smelled like death, yes, but more than just that. These walls held stories, tales of grim torture. Each bloodstain the mark of an individual death.

"Mmm. Yes."

This room was history. It was art, it was beautiful.

Maria prowled her cell, a low growl at her lips as she paced to and fro. The clatter of chains and the damp musty odor that permeated the air grated at her senses. No light lit the dusty halls but her wolfish eyes could make out every crack and crevice of this insufferable prison.

She was an imposing and dominating figure with thick red locks of hair and piercing grey eyes. Though taller in stature than is typically deemed attractive in a woman, her striking features could once have been deemed alluring. However, her pleasant looks have grown marred by the feral state that has seized her. Her tattered clothes that barely clung to her muscular form were far from flattering and her hair was as unkempt and wild as the rest of her.

Something was different this day, she could feel it in the air. For reason unknown to her, the castle above lay empty and all that stood between her and the cursed woods beyond were the shackles about her wrists. The chains were imbedded deeply into the stone walls and for all her efforts to free herself, she had only scarcely begun to wear away at the stone structure. The iron bars before her were far less solid in their craftsmanship, but they remained beyond her reach.

Riaze Nightroad softly padded along in as the wolf, red eyes casting a hellish glow to the hallway around him. The shadows had brought him as far as they could, but this deep within the fortress he could walk the dark ways no further. Pausing, he tested the air. Unfortunately for him, there was only one being in the castle. There would be no slaying for him this time, and he snorted with disgust. The wolf followed the scent of his quarry, contemptuous of the maze about him so easily solved.

Riaze's true form was that of a massive, ebony-colored wolf, as tall at the shoulder as a shorter man. His midnight fur hid scarred hide, lambent red eyes giving a bloody hue to his coat. Faintly, his terrible fangs glinted, revealed in their entire when he came to the doorway to the dungeons. Another contemptuous snort erupted from his nose. Hubris of leeches, to think that mundane objects could obstruct his path.

Backing from the door, the Nightroad snarled as he launched himself into a sprint, pushing it further into an unstoppable charge. A pace or two from the portal, his head dropped and he twisted, hurling his bulk into the metal wrapped wood. The sickening crunch of bone on wood sounded, but it was the creaking split of wood and the shriek of mangled metal that came next, as the door was blasted inwards in pieces.

Riaze shook himself, shadows flowing about him as he relinquished his form for his human side. A moment later they fled, revealing him once more as he brushed splinters from himself.

Maria's nostrils flared as Riaze's scent reached her. Jerking forward, she threw her weight against the shackles that bound her only to be drawn up short. A low growl broke from her lips as she gave them another tug, eyes locking on the wolf become man.

“Úlfhéðinn,” she growled lowly. There was something feral and predatory behind her gleaming eyes and in the coil of muscles and tendons. “Release me,” she instructed. Her voice was deep and throaty, as if hoarse, and so heavily marred by a thick accent of uncertain origins that it was nearly indiscernible.

Riaze Nightroad lit a cigarette and took a drag, watching Maria with his single eye as she spoke. His face was an expressionless mask, though he strode towards the cell with a slow, measured gait. "I shall. Patience, wild one."

He glanced about the room as he walked, his free hand moving in strange patterns. If one was listening hard enough, they could hear the whispers that answered the arcane gestures. As it was, the gloom deepened as the darkness answered the Nightroad's call, rallying around him as a pool of black mercury. Coming to a halt before the cell, he took another drag, gesturing her back from the doors through the smoky air.

Riaze's hand flung forward, and in answer tendrils of liquid shadow darted out, wrapping around the bars of Maria's cage. He made a fist and slowly tugged, his power reacting and pulling. Metal groaned and bent, the cell door slowly yielding against the tremendous pressure of his pull. With a final snarl, the lycan jerked his fist towards him, and with another shriek of metal the door wrenched free.

There was an almost fervent look in Maria's eyes now and the muscles and tendons in her arms grew taunt as she strained against the bindings about her wrists. Freedom was at hand, so close she could almost taste it. The man before her reeked of her kind and though she recognized a kindred spirit in him, his human form confused her senses.

Chained and tormented for untold months, the beast within her was little more than a caged animal. Rationality was lost to her, and even the man to free her from her bindings was not beyond her instinct to lash out. He was all but indiscernible from her captors.

Just a moment more and she would be free to stain the walls crimson with the mans blood. Her nostrils flared almost violently as her eyes followed his movements with the intensity of a hawk.

Riaze Nightroad paused, killing his smoke with a single, long drag. But the smoke he exhaled was wrong, black and virulent, shifting into itself until the murky haze was all but opaque. He spoke, his voice eerie, as he reached into the smog.

"Light fades away, fled from this darkness. Chains groan, as the Abyss is drug forth from the blackened pit..."

Groping fingers closed around cold wood, the familiar feeling of his blade's unsatiable hunger stealing up his arm. In the dim room, the blade was nearly impossible to see, absorbing the light within. He strode forward and raised the sword, the dismissed shadows fleeing far more swiftly than they should have. Riaze struck, the weapon hissing over Maria's head to cleave her chains apart.

He banished the blade as soon as he no longer required it. The chains had held no enchantment, but he would rather use caution than foolishly harming himself on a vampire's trap. Backing away from Maria, he held her in his one-eyed regard, his gaze piercing.

"Be free, Maria."

For a moments time Maria stood motionless, and then she was upon the man before her. Fur sprouted along her forearms and the sickening pop of shifting bone and cartilage filled the dank dungeon. A rumbling growl tore free from her throat as her face elongated into the snarling visage of a wolf. Even for Maria the rapid onset and brutality of the shift was beyond her normal capacity, but months of pent up rage and aggression poured out of her.

Missing her mark as he deftly maneuvered out of her path, the werebeast struck the far wall only to coil her muscles and leap free of it and back to the floor of the prison. Keeping to all fours, Maria began pacing the room as she circled Riaze, heated saliva spattering the floor at her feet.

The old stomping grounds.

Torrential's bootsteps took him through the hallowed halls, the dimly lit corridors of his once proud and regal home, the place that he quickly turned his back on the second that it had become inconvenient for him to stay. One by one, the Vankoryth had melted into the shadows of the world's legends, taking with them every conquest, despite the few in number, to their quiet graves of history. After a time, even this place would be overrun by beggars and thieves, a collective of souls that he felt deserved the dwelling much more than a bunch of Vampires, sneering down from their ivory towers, debating and delegating when there was so much damn killing to get done.

The other Vampire had said a certain toy of his was here, and he'd be damned if he was going to turn his back on this place before seeing her - beaten and trapped - once more. Tapping at the silver dagger he had kept - a treasure of his travels, a testimony to his triumph - sheathed at his hip, he smirked to himself, picturing the werewolf, in her bars, crouched low...

Glorious sight, the broken enemy. Glorious indeed.

He crept on silent feet down the bowels of the dungeons, only slowing when he neared the place - the only place - the idiot vampire would've kep-

The sight of the man in the dark made him shrink back slightly, the dagger popping from his sheath and resting in his palm, pointed outwards in a tight fist. His eyes ran across Maria, in full wolf form. Free and unshackled as the day they had first fought, first locked eyes. Two of them made this a fight that was worth considering, a fight that was worth avoiding all together. He backed up another step, his body bent, taut, coiled like a spring, heavy boots silent as a shadow, silent as a ghost. They wouldn't hear him, the wouldn't see him, they wouldn't smell-

A crunch of gravel under his boot solved the matter of stealth for him.

Riaze Nightroad spun as he landed, recovering from his dodge facing Maria. Though he no longer watched her, his blood-hued eye piercing the gloom onto the stranger. His glare narrowed, the subtle underlying scent of undeath touching on his nose. His face twitched, a nightmarish fanged smile coming over it.

He darted forward far more swiftly than was humanly possible, his outline blurring midstride. His next steps were on four paws, and suddenly there were twin fires in his lupine face locked on to Torrential.

Leap became sprint. Sprint to charge. And barely a dozen paces until he struck. Lips peeled back in a hellish wolf grin.

The crunch of gravel and the stench of undeath reached Maria in the same moment that it did Riaze. The reek of it filled her nostrils and images flashed through her mind. The rending pain as Torrential twisted his knife just a bit deeper as the wolfsbane coursed through her veins. The smug arrogance reflected in his eyes as he stared her down. Of all the vampires to have been involved in her capture, it was Torrential who was etched into her minds eye. The very stench of him set her blood to a boil.

Every bit of anguish she had suffered at the hands of her captors was channeled into her vehement hatred of that one man. No, not a man. Vampire. Every instinct, every primal urge drove her as she abandoned her focus upon the foreign werewolf. Wheeling about and scarcely a pace behind Riaze, Maria descended upon Torrential's location with all the raw force of a tempest storm.

Turned out the gravel saved him.

As his boot slipped further on the loose stones, Torrential rolled with it, letting the rocks send him off balance and falling backwards, a rush of air where there once was dead clamminess. He fell, and the dagger was thrust upwards to clatter against the stones, still gripped in his tight fist. With his back against the ground, both feet lashed out at the wolf, using every inch of his undead strength and speed, attempting to gain a sliver of sunlight to escape the cascading night.

Of course, that hope wasn't well-lived, as he caught a flash of russet - Maria - leaping over both him and his attacker, landing somewhere behind - well, above him, now - on the stone steps. His reaction to the manoeuvre was immediate; the dagger was turned point up, and twisting his body for leverage, he stabbed out at his old enemy, aiming for her shoulder.

Torrential was fighting to flee.

Riaze Nightroad snarled as Torrential fell out of the way, barreling past and ducking his head in time to meet the wall. Stone exploded with a heavy report, shards slashing along his hide and skipping off the walls behind him. With a growl, he shook himself and whirled on his feet, furious glare finding the vampire again. Spying Maria and catching Torrential's movement, the lycan did the only thing he had time for.

An earsplitting, soul-chilling howl ripped free of his maw, echoing in the room. The shadows screamed and fled at the sound, and he simply hoped the sound froze both of the others cold.

Abruptly his jaws shut with a click and he dashed forward at a slower pace than before, and his maw cracked open as he threw his head sideways to slash with his long fangs at Torrential.

Repositioning herself from her landing, claws dug into stone sending sparks up as she launched herself back at Torrential's prone form. Barreling ahead with reckless disregard, the flash of a knife cut through the air and bit into her shoulder. With vehement rage that went beyond pain and injury she collided with Torrential, fangs rending deeply into his shoulder as she shook the vampire in a somewhat less comical reenactment of a dog with a toy.

Abandoned Multiverse Characters Restored

Hey guys,

Just letting everyone know that I've gone through and found as many abandoned characters as I could and placed them back into their original creator's list of characters. There were several thousand characters who I could not determine the owner for, and as such I've placed those in the orphanage.

You're free to abandon them again if you wish!

Sincerely,
Your Friendly Multiversal GM

Re: The Multiverse: The Official OOC (uber)Thread

Hello folks!

There's been a lot of talk lately (mostly unpleasant and misunderstanding) about the invasion and occupation of Terra plot that Barney and I have been working on for over a month and which was recently unveiled publicly (apparently?) in the Multiverse. The idea behind most roleplay usually termed "nation roleplay" or "NRP" is not to overtake or dominate a large-scale roleplay, but to enrich and provide sociological, economic, and political background to such a setting. "Nation roleplay," or roleplaying that involves nation states, de facto state entities, or state-like factions, is intended to be a breeding ground for character development, provide a backdrop for character interactions, and create multiple avenues for diverse and engaging plotlines to develop at both micro and macro levels.

In my own writing, I focus predominantly on the development of individual characters and the dynamics of interactions among those characters. I find overarching, meta-plotlines like this invasion plotline to be an excellent impetus for engendering and fostering more vibrant and compelling character interactions and new plot ideas by creating multiple sources of tension. Characters need not have any high rank or formal affiliation with a faction in order to be impacted by larger events (think of what happens to average citizens when any country goes to war), nor will they necessarily be directly affected in any significant way (think about the everyday lives of most Americans during the Iraq war.) But you, the writers and roleplayers, will have a myriad of opportunities to create, develop, and form deeper and more interesting plots to feature your character(s), given a new set of macro-circumstances.

Both Barney and I welcome and encourage anyone who is interested in active involvement in the invasion plot at any level (very active to vaguely active) in any way whatsoever to talk to either or both of us about your ideas, character(s), and plans. A large number of people have already done so, including the following people:

- krumbla -- I can't remember his idea (I'm sorry, krumbla; talk to me when I'm not sick as a dog?)
- Mr. Crow -- News media company to be formed before the invasion and to provide support to the resistance or rebels following the occupation
- curtsive -- Vigilante anti-terrorist organization to conduct terrorist operations against the occupation
- Alasund De'astio -- plays the Democratic Coalition, allies of the current (canonical to Ylanne) Terran government
- Nemo -- typically handles the military side of the Terran government, as well as Randin Kaye from the Wing City Police Department
- DemiKara -- whose character Aerilyn recently joined the Terran Intelligence Bureau
- Konstantein -- plays a daywalking vampire who will act against the occupation
- AzricanRepublic -- plays the UCON, which has a military presence near Terra and supports the TNG
- Marcus -- plays the Council, which has a vested interest in defending Terran sovereignty
- Tearen Wover -- plays VARIAtech corporation, which is offering military assets to the Terrans

And I'm certain I've forgotten someone (in which case, if that's you, I do sincerely apologize. It's one a.m. and I'm still sick.)

Barney and I have sketched out an overview of how we expect the plot to run from beginning to middle to end; however, despite the fact that both of us obviously plan on the plot following that sequence, it can change its course at any point depending on the ideas and in-character actions of any other folks who decide to get involved.

Some of the plots to occur during the invasion and occupation, both planned and still in discussion, already discussed include the following:

- Arianne Drulovic subjected to an order of indefinite detention
- Democratic Coalition rescuing Drulovic from Aschen custody
- Terran resistance kidnapping self-proclaimed God-Emperor Raphael McGregor
- Drulovic psychologically "breaking" McGregor with his estranged wife Cally
- Hataf attack against Aschen Empire holdings
- Guerrilla warfare between Democratic Coalition, UCON, and Terran forces against Aschen forces
- Taiyou attack on Aschen-controlled Terra
- Terran Independent underground dissident publication
- Jelisaveta Drulovic and family taking Natalija Drulovic's children off-world
- Rubano Malijin assuming power as regional Governor of Terra
- Public executions of political dissidents
- Internal rebellion against Aschen government by dissident Aschen leaders

I strongly encourage anyone and everyone to seek me out to talk plot, character, and ideas. Both existing and newly created characters can be involved with any plot, either existing or newly proposed by you. If you feel that this planned plotline (invasion and occupation) will unnecessarily or unfairly interrupt or alter your own plans for character or plot development, and you passionately want to retain your own plans as much as possible, please talk to me. I am very obsessive and have high levels of anxiety about maintaining the integrity and substance of my plans, so I know how you feel, and am more than happy to collaborate with you to work out something that satisfies you and makes logical sense.

If I'm not in the chat at any given time, I can be reached via private message, or by email at trealistorm (at) yahoo.com. Messages to that email address are delivered directly to my smartphone, which I check obsessively all day long, and will be read and replied to as soon as possible. (Usually within twelve hours, and sometimes within as little as ten minutes.) I want to hear your ideas and opinions (but please be polite to me; I do have feelings and am a real person over here), and I want to make sure that you don't feel like I am trampling over you or your character(s) or your plot(s).

[OOC] Taylor's Bar (Multiverse Location)

This is the official OOC thread for Taylor's Bar. I'll post staff, recent events, and other information about Taylor's here.

Taylor's Bar is a location owned by my character, Gabriel Taylor. The Bar/Hotel/Casino is extremely fortified and secured. Each entrance has a metal detector and the place is usually fully staffed with employes. Taylor handles all of his business in house and law enforcement is nearly never called. Various precautions have been set around the bar to account for the magical inhabitants of Terra and keep it's inhabitants safe.

News Announcements

Taylor’s Casino and Hotel Grand Opening!

Gabriel Taylor, multimillionaire and owner of Taylor’s Bar, a successful nightclub and hang out for the rich and wealthy, has moved onto his next venture; A casino and hotel. Patrons of Taylor’s bar may have noticed construction going on around back as well as various signs and posters apologizing for the inconvenience; The large tower coming up behind the bar would be rather noticeable to say the least. Last month we got a word with Gabriel Taylor’s manager and he’s said that he has big plans for this place.

“Terra’s never had a place quite like this; Gabriel’s casino will be the first. The casino is the largest in the world and it’s also the most secure. Not only won’t we be hit, but we can’t be hit. We’ve brought in security experts from around the world to devise the most advanced security system Terra has seen. We invite anyone who believes they have what it takes to try and rob us, but I won’t be responsible for your injuries or the blow to your self-esteem. Try to teleport through our walls? Have fun getting stuck inside of them. We’ve worked with various experts in the field of magic and technology to create a sort of ‘teleportation displacer’ as well as armed our guards with anti-magic grenades. Although obviously not 100 percent effective, it gets the job done.

The hotel is large and extravagant. It has everything you’d ever need, ranging from a five star restaurant to indoor pools, and a top of the line spa. Our 2nd floor hosts a large assortment of stores holding anything you can think of including the finest clothing and the newest technology. “

The casino and hotel’s grand opening is April 9th at 7 pm. The party at Taylor’s bar goes from 7 pm to 2 am, but good luck getting in. The guest list is packed and with the security at Taylor’s it’s going to be difficult sneaking in.

Re: [OOC] The Gaia Stones [IC Fantasy Event]

We have a an Official Group now. Whoohoo. I will edit some more details later on in the day due to my exhaustion.

[OOC] The Gaia Stones [IC Fantasy Event]

Image

The Gaia Stones is a plot that I am currently GMing within The Multiverse on a planet deep within the Milky Way system where technology is not allowed and will not be able to function. The world is ruled completely by magic and magic law. The story consists of people being summoned to the planet Gaia (if they did not spawn on the planet themselves) and were brought to The Ruby Flask. They were given a task to follow a powerful mage named Ry'nn Traeger to collect stones which would unseal powerful weapons that had once been used to forge the kingdom. The purpose behind the quest beyond that remains to yet be seen.

PLAYERS

Nevan: Emys'i - S'rit

THE WEAPONS

Skuldgrim the Slayer of Undead
Skuld was the first sword forged on the world of Gaia in the Xanaldra Forge. It is a legendary blade that has not been seen for a hundred generations. It once served Gaia when the undead were a threat to all living beings on the Mother’s soil and vanquished The Risen Horde during the age of Those Who No Longer Roam sent by Eras.

The blade of the sword is long and elegant with a pointed edge that is perfect for piercing into armor. Down its length is the engraving of Sagittae—a beautiful woman—in finely etched lines on one side and the other is the engraved representation of Atargatis—a strong and lithe man. The edges are blunt and glow with a strange red flame from enchantment. The blade and hilt are made from a very light weight and mysterious metal.

The pommel of the sword is marked with an engraving which represents the goddess Sagittae; one of the stars of Gaia and the Mother’s protector from the evil god Eras. The sheath is blood red. It is unbreakable and will never shatter.

It is a sword meant to battle the undead which roam mindlessly on Gaia; skeletons, reanimated corpses, and shades. But with all swords of power, there is a weakness. It cannot kill any living soul and may only be used on the undead.

Artrea the Healing Gauntlets
Artrea were gauntlets worn by a legendary man named Lysander Enlight. The gauntlets were hidden beneath the soil of The Exalted Mountains and were used to light the world when Eras had almost consumed his siblings. For seven turnings of Gaia had Artrea served to the be sole beacon on hope for all living things on the world.

The gauntlets are made from a mysterious metal which is completely white in color, almost as if they were made of our pearl. But they are as harder than any metal known to the current world as the knowledge died with Those Who No Longer Roam. They will light the path when light is needed most.

Glittering feathers protrude backwards and out from the wrist. The fingers are sharpened like ten deadly claws that can grip any surface short of diamonds. It is easy to scale a wall with the gauntlets. But that is not what make the weapons deadly. So sharp in fact are they, that they can pierce through most armor and can slice through human flesh like a razor through parchment. But their greatest power is the ability to touch others and heal their mortal wounds through the use of Will.

There is always a weakness that comes with weapons of great power. Those who adorn the gauntlets and use its abilities will soon find their eyesight failing on them over a long period of time. All those that have ever used them—even once—have gone blind with age. And when they are used to heal, the adorner will find themselves very drained as if their own life-force had been passed into the other in order to save their life.

Questions, suggestions, and comments should be directed here, especially when chat is busy or when I am not online or active in the chat.

Sangrei's only statement was this. "Hey, I was hungover, and I got an iced tea with honey. How was I supposed to know that the bear thing was gonna come over and wreck the bar looking for goddamn honey?"

Re: The Multiverse: The Official OOC (uber)Thread

Gambit's Bar was drained of all its honey by a mysterious yellow bear!

Unfortunately, Wing City police did not know this and were left in confusion to find only a yellow teddy bear with a red shirt at the scene of the crime.

The only customer under record who had ordered a glass of honey that day was a Sangrei Friedn. Responsibility for the bill and possibly the stolen stock of honey have yet to be decided. Police still find Friedn a suspect.

HAHAHAHAHA. The conclusion isn't coming til closer to the summer. Frequency of activity and times when the folks who are involved currently has dropped quite a bit for a variety of reasons, and I don't anticipate the conclusion to Family Pictures for a bit. That said, for those who pay attention to the faction-side of things, the announcement that elections have taken place for the Terran National Government will be posted soonish (i.e. within the next two weeks insh'Allah.)

Those who might be expecting me for roleplay, I will have no internet access this Thursday through Sunday this week except from my phone or if I can access someone else's computer with internet access. You will only be able to reliably reach me via email, which goes to my phone. If you don't have mine, any staff member does, as would anyone who regularly roleplays with me. Thanks!

Re: The Multiverse: The Official OOC (uber)Thread

There's no real procedure to get "started" in the Multiverse. The hub of activity is generally Gambit's Bar, but you can grab a roleplay partner and head anywhere. The sky's the limit!

Re: The Multiverse: The Official OOC (uber)Thread

I'm new here, and I just made my first character. How do I get started in the multiverse? I'd like to stick mostly to Terra to keep as close to my character's home as possible, but if I have to move, I will.

If you want to check out my character, go to roleplay/the-multiverse/characters/lorenzo-caracciolo
By the way, that is not near my real name, so don't worry.

[OOC] yea retarded moment

You can create and play anything that you like in the Multiverse. There is no acceptance or review of characters, just create the character and start RPing!

Hello folks! I'm currently maybe two-thirds of the way through the planned Family Pictures sequence, which can be read here, and am posting one last announcement looking for folks who might still want to become part of that. Re: The Multiverse: Where Do We Go?

Um. Okay. Bear with me. I read through what posts I saw, and took note on things that were said to the best of my ability. Here's where I stand on the Multiverse, where the Multiverse is to me, and yeah. I guess.

I agree that there needs to be a set baseline. For instance, the name of the bar. The name of the world that the bar is on. The name of cities, nearby things like that. There can be a set system of government, the Wing City Police Department, but their "jurisdiction" only stretches so far. Some of the most interesting roleplay I've seen/participated in has involved characters coming from other worlds and having to either deal with, work around, or confront the system of government set in the Multiverse.

Alternately, some of the worst and most frustrating MV roleplaying I've seen has been .. involving characters coming from other worlds and having to deal with, work around, or confront the system of government set in the Multiverse.

I've always seen the MV as a hallways connecting various rooms. The rooms are your own story, your own ideas, your own canon, your own characters; it's where your friends gather and you control things. When you're out in that hall, however, all bets are off. That isn't to say you can pull things out of your ass, but you accept and understand a certain amount of handicap.

For instance, my character Liesha Kennicot is a Special Agent in the United States government, from her Earth. She's aware that there are other Earths, and that she doesn't had any control when in the MV. That's fine. However, when someone else walks up to her and starts trying to give her orders claiming that their faction has taken over mine without a single bit of IC content, that's when things start to go awry.

Reading back over the original post, it seems that the Multiverse has as much substance as you give it. It's a sandbox location where you can freely interact with new characters that you might not get a chance to. For a while, I used the MV as a way to try and test out ideas with people before making a roleplay out of it. You get your circles of friends (as Patch mentioned, his crew of eight) and you go at it. Sometimes you meet in the middle, and sometimes you don't.

And at the risk of ranting, that is all I have to say about that.
