Daemala Tauvyr walks deep into the forest, through the fog, and points to thicker trees ahead.

The boy regarded her curiously, years of living outside of his homeland having washed the Irish brogue from his voice. "Where are we going?" He asked.

"Welcome to the Cursed Wood, we are going deeper into the forest. Keep close," She whispered on the wind, disappearing into the trees.

Valentine follows along with the woman who seemed to be moving with an unnatural purpose.

"This is the beginnings of our domain. Hence why it is cursed," He said with a wink.
"Now, see up there where the trees come closer together? Where the sunlight dare not touch? We're headed there."

“Hold her!” snapped Viktor loudly.
“Well if you weren't just standing there,” bit off Kyle as he grunted with exertion, straining against a chain.
Situated around a crouched woman were Christian and Varia as well, the latter seeming almost as feral as the shuddering form of Maria, and the former was picking himself up off the ground to seize up the chain that had been torn from his grasp.
At the border of the cursed woods the sun could be seen setting in the distance, casting its last few rays of light across the lands.
A low rippling snarl tore free from the throat of Maria as Viktor stepped back from the group, waving for the others to join him.
“Let's go,” he called loudly.
Letting out a woop and a howl of excitement Varia released the chain in her hands, followed quickly by a grinning Christian and a coy grin from Kyle. However, with Maria now freed, the group fell back quickly.
Leaving the woman to her torment, the group of young vampires vacated the premises.

Crouched on the ground, Maria's hands clutched at the thick red locks of hair that cascaded down over her face and her body shuddered violently. Rippling and bulging, her muscles seemed to tear free of the confines of her clothes and her skeletal structure began to re-arrange itself with the sickening sound of tearing sinew and cartilage.
Falling onto her back fur began to sprout along her skin and her muzzle elongated, fangs splitting free from her gums. Several minutes would pass before a lumbering hulk of a beast rose from the ground shaking itself off. Salivating excessively the animal tore free the remnants of clothing that clung to its russet fur. However, the heavy set collar and the remnants of broken chain links still hung about her to give the impression that the beast had either escaped or been let loose.
Tilting her head back she let out a blood curdling howl that cast an eerie silence over the area as the animals instinctively took shelter in their dens and burrows from the menace that had been left to prowl their wood.
Stalking off, the wolfbeast melded into the cursed woods.

Braving the last few moments of sunlight and risking burning himself Charles LeMarr decloaked himself, tucking away the lapels of his coat as his hands dug deep into his pockets. He'd been on his way, through the woods, the tickets and to the castle to speak to who he knew to be the leader of the clan; Deamala. He sought to speak of things that concerned no one other than him. Of course that was paste tense.
Something had stirred his mind, boiled his blood and called the ferality that he knew so well in both life and death to the surface. A howl echoed through the woods. Louder than any wolf and any creature not feared by man Charles knew not what had fallen amid him in these woods, but would not let opportunity forsake him. He set off towards the howl, slow steps crunching the fallen leaves and dead timbers of the ancient trees.

Prowling the wood, Maria paused to scent the air lightly, catching hint of that which left her blood boiling. The stench of vampire. Of all the creatures that prowled the night, only the vampire did she kill for the pleasure of it.
Flashes of torment filled her head, fragmented and disjointed memories. However, the emotion behind them, the fear and the pain were as clear as the earth beneath her feet. She was free, and that loathed stench filled the night air.
Dropping to all fours she crept along, stalking that which few things in the world dared to regard as prey.

The woods grew thicker, if only for a short bit. Perhaps it would lead to a clearing ahead, one where the moon would shine at it's brightest. Charles sincerely hoped not. Though others may find the moon no burden or even pleasant, he knew from his body that the moon itself did not cast a light that gave power to his kind, it merely reflected the light that burned them. Even had he not known this in his body, he knew of the science.
He pressed his ears to locate the distant howling his heart grew louder, every breath felt like a window shattering and his steady footfalls crunched the shattered glass to dust. Lord have his back for the forest did not empty into a clearing, but instead grew thicker yet again. Pushing aside the dead foliage he caught the sound of another's footsteps. Too heavy to be a dog, too light to be a bear. Growing wary Charles stood still, straightened himself and concentrated.
The fog that swirled about the ground, looping around and swirling about like a frenzy of serpents, grew black. It smelt of decayed flesh, burned corpses, and toxins all at the same time. The lonely vampire would not fall prey to another being, at least not without a fight.

Catching sight of her prey Maria let a low menacing growl. The stench of decay filled the area, only further provoking her blood lust. Those of the Lessard blood line were well known for their prowess over the dead and their necromantic natures. The scent was a familiar one to Maria, and one that had more memory fragments filling her vision.
Flesh rotting from bone as she writhed and shrieked beneath their administrations. Agony of the sorts that she had never endured in her long years.
Overhead a cloud slipped across the moon to cast the shadowed wood into darkness. However as she rose up on her rear legs, the cloud continued on its way, leaving the moonlight to pierce through foliage overhead and silhouette Maria's imposing form in its silvery light.
Inhaling deeply she threw her head back and let loose a blood curdling roar that seemed to shake the air around her before leveling her silvery eyes on Charles. Taking a menacing step forward, the reek of her breath filled the air and thick gobs of saliva spattered from her muzzle to land at her feet.

Had there been time to curse there was no doubt Charles would have spewed the foulest of them that he knew. The sight of a werewolf was one he'd seen twice before, each time carrying vicious blood shed greater than any other he'd seen. If this werewolf was no different than the others he might even die at their hands. It's breath was close enough to taste, and it reeked of a smell almost as foul as the miasma Charles seeped from seemingly nowhere.
Determined not to be killed before he bore that which he desired Charles backed away, pressing his left should against the bark of a tree a foot thick and lowering his body to ready himself. The miasma fog that swirled around him came to life, edging back as he did, pockets of the noxious fumes growing and then exploding in a great burst of smoke. It began to crawl up, hanging from branches, leaves, twigs, and anything it could grip to climb high and shield the man which brought it forth from any of the rays of the light that was already gone.
"Come foul beast! Let the night see who's greatest!"

Snarling loudly, Maria continued to approach, one menacing step at a time. The stench of the miasma filled her nostrils and deepened her snarls as she paused and shook her head to clear it. However generations upon generations of evolution afforded Maria a natural resistance to vampiric powers.
The dominating strength and speed of the lycanthrope, paired with such innate resistances left them a formidable force to contend with. It was no surprise that it had taken an entire group to wrangle her to the wood, even bound and restrained as she had been.
At last she stood before the vampire, towering over him, her breath heavy and heated as she sized him up. Vampires were predators, same as herself, and her approach was that of one predator sizing up another. Face to face, rather than ambush tactics.

OOC Notes
It seems there had been plenty of time for Charles to curse. Now, with his foe directly in front of him, towering and fearsome, he knew not what to say, only what to do. He was not alone in being greatly powerful this night, and he was sure that the lore that a werewolf was strongest at the full moon was no story to quiet small children. He couldn't afford to defend himself.
A bellow of violent outrage escaped his tightly clenched teeth like a rush of wind. He arched forward, head leading and right hand raised to his brow with the nails ready to pierce the chest of the werewolf. The miasma that he commanded followed stead, encircling around both him and Maria, a wall of it building behind him growing up as high as the trees. He would block out the moon if had to rather than die at the hands of a mad dog.

At first, nothing seemed to happen, but then with a vicious snarl Maria swung her right foreleg outwards in a powerful backhanded blow towards Charles. The sweeping blow had a longer reach than the substantially smaller vampire and if it connected, would strike against his exposed right side with force enough to fell a small tree.
As the miasma crept up and began to blot out the moon, while his theory was sound, it would have only limited results. Having suffered her affliction for as long as she had, the beast had long overtaken her and she was no longer bound to the moon to retain her state.
She couldn't resist the call of the moon, but she didn't depend on it either.

OOC Notes
With a greater reach and a ferocity to match his own the vampire had little time to react to the strike at his right side. Had he been a normal man he'd of been felled, ribs broken and lung punctured he would lie dead already at the feet of the overgrown mutt. Instead he was quick enough to see the blow, and though did not avoid it, weakened the damage by allowing it to push, rather than strike him. Still he was thrown to the ground, the fog retracting from the sky and coiling around him, enshrouding him in the darkness of decay allowing only the master to see through them.
Though not mortal his mind still held onto it's instincts. His heart quickened, power surged his muscles and to the whole of his body. Everything began to slow itself, at least in his eyes. The beast was still nearly upon him and he needed to move in closer. He wasn't a fool who thought running would do, or perhaps he was a fool to think running wouldn't do. Even if the werewolf had greater reach, if he were to hold himself too close to it, then it would become hindrance.
Pushing off the ground the trees snapped under the pressure of his muscles. Vehemently vaulting towards Maria he aimed to strike again at her chest, though this time only a feint. He readied for a strike from either side, or for her teeth to come down upon him. If it came from the right his left hand would try to grasp the wolves claws while his body spun to allow his right hand to pierce the well endowed chest. Were a blow to come from the other way he would do the opposite, and were a blow to come from above he would lurch forward and wrap his arms around the waist of the dog, tilting his body to the side to throw aside his may-be murderer. Were any of his strikes to connect they wouldn't likely slay the woman turned monster, merely give him chance to deliver a concise blow and end her then.

Fortunately for Charles, the miasma did seem to mar Maria's line of sight on him, however, unfortunately for him, the feign would have limited results on Maria's animalistic mind. Martial combat prowess was a thoroughly foreign concept to the werewolf. And so the attack would come from the front.
However, as Maria bulled into Charles, and his arms encircled her furry middle, it would rapidly become apparent which was the physically stronger of the two. Rather than be tossed, she would essentially return the gesture, only pancake Charles between herself and the tree at his back.
If successful, the wood of the tree would splinter and give under the collision, dropping both of them to the ground - Charles beneath Maria's body, and unsettling close to her dripping snapping fangs.

OOC Notes
Being grabbed from above wasn't quite what Charles had in mind, neither was being lifted by the mass of muscle. His toes left the ground and his mind snapped into overdrive. He knew he was being brought backwards, he knew he had no ability to end this by simply planting his feet. He'd even gone as far to lose his momentum, but this folly had given him chance. Gripping tightly to the fur of the werewolf's middle with his left hand he brought back his right straightened his fingers and thumb into a streamline shape and stomped his feet into the ground if only for an instant to give himself a base before Maria's momentum swept his feet out from under him again. This base would allow him to thrust the spear pointed hand up under the bottom ribs of Maria and into her chest. She could do little to avoid it, he could do little other than it. Were the strike to hit perfectly it would break skin, perhaps bone, and push inside of the ribs, or slip between them exposing the insides of the werewolf.
OOC Notes
Had Maria been a wolf, or even a human, the blow likely would have been fatal. However, unlike her counterparts, Maria's body was ripped with excessive muscle and sinew along with a powerful skeletal structure. In addition, the thick matted fur would serve to lessen blows.
The result would be a glancing hit, rather than the deep penetrative effect that Charles was going for. It would be painful, and while the hand did not penetrate through the ribs, his nails would inflict deep and painful lacerations upon her hide that drew fresh blood.
Planting his feet had slowed her momentum, albeit marginally, but in the dense forest it would still be enough to fell the trees in the area. Saplings were all but destroyed by the raging pair and one young oak tree was even uprooted in its entirety. Though, as the pair crashed to the ground, Maria let our an enraged roar of pain.
Snapping her jaws in a blind rage, she clamped them down towards his left shoulder before he could do anymore damage with his hand. If successful, in a perhaps not so comical reenactment of a dog with a toy, she would give the vampire a vicious shake before flinging him well free of her.
Maria was a predator, and an injured predator was a hungry predator. Charles' injury that he had inflicted upon her had her instinctively seeking to minimize further damage exposure.

OOC Notes
Thrown into trees and onto the ground as they splintered and cracked beneath the combined weight of him and Maria. The ground too seemed to shake under their crashing weight. Charles himself felt it, letting out a heavy grunt as Maria fell onto his chest. Before he had time to properly recover her maw sunk deep into his shoulder, spilling his blood down his arm and onto his chest. Wounded worse than his foe Charles felt at a loss of what to do, but with the werewolf clamped on his shoulder he was in prime position. Bearing fangs of pure white and anger greater than a barbarian he descended upon Maria's neck just behind her skull. Even if thick matted hair covered the rest of her body it would, like it was on common dogs, be thinner were her head moved often. His bite would do little damage, but would elate his state to one of pure ferocious power; his wounds would hurt less, his attacks would hurt more. He would, in all effects be sttronger.
It wasn't common that he drank the blood of a werewolf, let alone another immortal, and though he found it to sometimes taste foul, the power it granted immediately after feeding would be great.

OOC Notes
Charles' fangs would be met with the large heavy set iron collar beneath her fur. A perhaps unpleasant discovery, but an interesting one to be sure.
Rearing up onto her hind-legs with a vicious whip of her head, Charles would be suitably sent airborne. However, rather than lunge after him, the wounded werebeast dropped to all fours to help distribute her weight better and to alleviate the strain on the injured tissue. It wasn't a crippling wound, but it was enough to make her think twice about a second head on approach.
The saliva from her maw had turned crimson as it spattered at her feet, but she would let the vampire come for her this time.

OOC Notes
Charles caught himself in the air, the miasma he controlled had blanketed the sky above and allowed him to, even if just for a second, turn his body from flesh to smoke. He found himself wrapped in a world of darkness, black strings of smoke shot up from the ground to towering heights; the trees of the wood. His shapeless body began to form, to others it appeared as though a black fog built up a giant ant hill, and then from within erupted a man, his shoulder bloodied and his mouth twisted into an angered scowl.
Cursing the werewolf woman he raised his right hand to his mouth, sucked the still dripping blood from his fingers and spat it out. It neither tasted ill, nor did he find it revolting to drink the blood of creatures he had no good relations with, he simply didn't need to digest it to gain strength from it. His fingers still covered in a light layer of blood smoothed over the wounds in his shoulder and began the process of healing them. For now the beast seemed almost tranquil, even tame. He took a step back knowing that however much he dislike it, he was at a disadvantage here. Had it been a night of no moon his victory would have been swift and the bloodshed hers alone, but it was not and his blood had been spilled more than hers.
Still though, it wasn't like him to flee. His pride would have him die at the hands of an meager criminal than flee and let them see his back. Today though his pride would not have him die, instead it would shade itself and take a blow. He wasn't stupid enough to rush into his own death, no matter how ashamed he would be of the conflict upon his return to the clan, but the collar that had lightly chipped one of his teeth drew wonders from his mind. This wolf wasn't merely roaming the woods, it belonged somewhere and it may well have escaped. Any animal driven into a corner was more than an ample threat, even moreso upon a full moon and the animal was a wolf.
Spitting dury at the werewolf Charles leaned backwards, his body shifting again and dispersing into smoke as he drew out of sight of the werewolf as quickly as he could and began his retreat to the castle grounds.

Abandoned Multiverse Characters Restored
Hey guys,
Just letting everyone know that I've gone through and found as many abandoned characters as I could and placed them back into their original creator's list of characters. There were several thousand characters who I could not determine the owner for, and as such I've placed those in the orphanage.
You're free to abandon them again if you wish!
Sincerely,
Your Friendly Multiversal GM

Re: The Multiverse: The Official OOC (uber)Thread
Hello folks!
There's been a lot of talk lately (mostly unpleasant and misunderstanding) about the invasion and occupation of Terra plot that Barney and I have been working on for over a month and which was recently unveiled publicly (apparently?) in the Multiverse. The idea behind most roleplay usually termed "nation roleplay" or "NRP" is not to overtake or dominate a large-scale roleplay, but to enrich and provide sociological, economic, and political background to such a setting. "Nation roleplay," or roleplaying that involves nation states, de facto state entities, or state-like factions, is intended to be a breeding ground for character development, provide a backdrop for character interactions, and create multiple avenues for diverse and engaging plotlines to develop at both micro and macro levels.
In my own writing, I focus predominantly on the development of individual characters and the dynamics of interactions among those characters. I find overarching, meta-plotlines like this invasion plotline to be an excellent impetus for engendering and fostering more vibrant and compelling character interactions and new plot ideas by creating multiple sources of tension. Characters need not have any high rank or formal affiliation with a faction in order to be impacted by larger events (think of what happens to average citizens when any country goes to war), nor will they necessarily be directly affected in any significant way (think about the everyday lives of most Americans during the Iraq war.) But you, the writers and roleplayers, will have a myriad of opportunities to create, develop, and form deeper and more interesting plots to feature your character(s), given a new set of macro-circumstances.
Both Barney and I welcome and encourage anyone who is interested in active involvement in the invasion plot at any level (very active to vaguely active) in any way whatsoever to talk to either or both of us about your ideas, character(s), and plans. A large number of people have already done so, including the following people:
- krumbla -- I can't remember his idea (I'm sorry, krumbla; talk to me when I'm not sick as a dog?)
- Mr. Crow -- News media company to be formed before the invasion and to provide support to the resistance or rebels following the occupation
- curtsive -- Vigilante anti-terrorist organization to conduct terrorist operations against the occupation
- Alasund De'astio -- plays the Democratic Coalition, allies of the current (canonical to Ylanne) Terran government
- Nemo -- typically handles the military side of the Terran government, as well as Randin Kaye from the Wing City Police Department
- DemiKara -- whose character Aerilyn recently joined the Terran Intelligence Bureau
- Konstantein -- plays a daywalking vampire who will act against the occupation
- AzricanRepublic -- plays the UCON, which has a military presence near Terra and supports the TNG
- Marcus -- plays the Council, which has a vested interest in defending Terran sovereignty
- Tearen Wover -- plays VARIAtech corporation, which is offering military assets to the Terrans
And I'm certain I've forgotten someone (in which case, if that's you, I do sincerely apologize. It's one a.m. and I'm still sick.)
Barney and I have sketched out an overview of how we expect the plot to run from beginning to middle to end; however, despite the fact that both of us obviously plan on the plot following that sequence, it can change its course at any point depending on the ideas and in-character actions of any other folks who decide to get involved.
Some of the plots to occur during the invasion and occupation, both planned and still in discussion, already discussed include the following:
- Arianne Drulovic subjected to an order of indefinite detention
- Democratic Coalition rescuing Drulovic from Aschen custody
- Terran resistance kidnapping self-proclaimed God-Emperor Raphael McGregor
- Drulovic psychologically "breaking" McGregor with his estranged wife Cally
- Hataf attack against Aschen Empire holdings
- Guerrilla warfare between Democratic Coalition, UCON, and Terran forces against Aschen forces
- Taiyou attack on Aschen-controlled Terra
- Terran Independent underground dissident publication
- Jelisaveta Drulovic and family taking Natalija Drulovic's children off-world
- Rubano Malijin assuming power as regional Governor of Terra
- Public executions of political dissidents
- Internal rebellion against Aschen government by dissident Aschen leaders
I strongly encourage anyone and everyone to seek me out to talk plot, character, and ideas. Both existing and newly created characters can be involved with any plot, either existing or newly proposed by you. If you feel that this planned plotline (invasion and occupation) will unnecessarily or unfairly interrupt or alter your own plans for character or plot development, and you passionately want to retain your own plans as much as possible, please talk to me. I am very obsessive and have high levels of anxiety about maintaining the integrity and substance of my plans, so I know how you feel, and am more than happy to collaborate with you to work out something that satisfies you and makes logical sense.
If I'm not in the chat at any given time, I can be reached via private message, or by email at trealistorm (at) yahoo.com. Messages to that email address are delivered directly to my smartphone, which I check obsessively all day long, and will be read and replied to as soon as possible. (Usually within twelve hours, and sometimes within as little as ten minutes.) I want to hear your ideas and opinions (but please be polite to me; I do have feelings and am a real person over here), and I want to make sure that you don't feel like I am trampling over you or your character(s) or your plot(s).

[OOC] Taylor's Bar (Multiverse Location)
This is the official OOC thread for Taylor's Bar. I'll post staff, recent events, and other information about Taylor's here.
Taylor's Bar is a location owned by my character, Gabriel Taylor. The Bar/Hotel/Casino is extremely fortified and secured. Each entrance has a metal detector and the place is usually fully staffed with employes. Taylor handles all of his business in house and law enforcement is nearly never called. Various precautions have been set around the bar to account for the magical inhabitants of Terra and keep it's inhabitants safe.

Taylor’s Casino and Hotel Grand Opening!
Gabriel Taylor, multimillionaire and owner of Taylor’s Bar, a successful nightclub and hang out for the rich and wealthy, has moved onto his next venture; A casino and hotel. Patrons of Taylor’s bar may have noticed construction going on around back as well as various signs and posters apologizing for the inconvenience; The large tower coming up behind the bar would be rather noticeable to say the least. Last month we got a word with Gabriel Taylor’s manager and he’s said that he has big plans for this place.
“Terra’s never had a place quite like this; Gabriel’s casino will be the first. The casino is the largest in the world and it’s also the most secure. Not only won’t we be hit, but we can’t be hit. We’ve brought in security experts from around the world to devise the most advanced security system Terra has seen. We invite anyone who believes they have what it takes to try and rob us, but I won’t be responsible for your injuries or the blow to your self-esteem. Try to teleport through our walls? Have fun getting stuck inside of them. We’ve worked with various experts in the field of magic and technology to create a sort of ‘teleportation displacer’ as well as armed our guards with anti-magic grenades. Although obviously not 100 percent effective, it gets the job done.
The hotel is large and extravagant. It has everything you’d ever need, ranging from a five star restaurant to indoor pools, and a top of the line spa. Our 2nd floor hosts a large assortment of stores holding anything you can think of including the finest clothing and the newest technology. “
The casino and hotel’s grand opening is April 9th at 7 pm. The party at Taylor’s bar goes from 7 pm to 2 am, but good luck getting in. The guest list is packed and with the security at Taylor’s it’s going to be difficult sneaking in.

Re: [OOC] The Gaia Stones [IC Fantasy Event]
We have a an Official Group now. Whoohoo. I will edit some more details later on in the day due to my exhaustion.
[OOC] The Gaia Stones [IC Fantasy Event]

The Gaia Stones is a plot that I am currently GMing within The Multiverse on a planet deep within the Milky Way system where technology is not allowed and will not be able to function. The world is ruled completely by magic and magic law. The story consists of people being summoned to the planet Gaia (if they did not spawn on the planet themselves) and were brought to The Ruby Flask. They were given a task to follow a powerful mage named Ry'nn Traeger to collect stones which would unseal powerful weapons that had once been used to forge the kingdom. The purpose behind the quest beyond that remains to yet be seen.
PLAYERS

CptxMorgan: Paul-Henri Chevalier - unknown

qbsuperstar03: Gary Mandolera - Skuldgrim

THE WEAPONS
Skuldgrim the Slayer of Undead
Skuld was the first sword forged on the world of Gaia in the Xanaldra Forge. It is a legendary blade that has not been seen for a hundred generations. It once served Gaia when the undead were a threat to all living beings on the Mother’s soil and vanquished The Risen Horde during the age of Those Who No Longer Roam sent by Eras.
The blade of the sword is long and elegant with a pointed edge that is perfect for piercing into armor. Down its length is the engraving of Sagittae—a beautiful woman—in finely etched lines on one side and the other is the engraved representation of Atargatis—a strong and lithe man. The edges are blunt and glow with a strange red flame from enchantment. The blade and hilt are made from a very light weight and mysterious metal.
The pommel of the sword is marked with an engraving which represents the goddess Sagittae; one of the stars of Gaia and the Mother’s protector from the evil god Eras. The sheath is blood red. It is unbreakable and will never shatter.
It is a sword meant to battle the undead which roam mindlessly on Gaia; skeletons, reanimated corpses, and shades. But with all swords of power, there is a weakness. It cannot kill any living soul and may only be used on the undead.
Artrea the Healing Gauntlets
Artrea were gauntlets worn by a legendary man named Lysander Enlight. The gauntlets were hidden beneath the soil of The Exalted Mountains and were used to light the world when Eras had almost consumed his siblings. For seven turnings of Gaia had Artrea served to the be sole beacon on hope for all living things on the world.
The gauntlets are made from a mysterious metal which is completely white in color, almost as if they were made of our pearl. But they are as harder than any metal known to the current world as the knowledge died with Those Who No Longer Roam. They will light the path when light is needed most.
Glittering feathers protrude backwards and out from the wrist. The fingers are sharpened like ten deadly claws that can grip any surface short of diamonds. It is easy to scale a wall with the gauntlets. But that is not what make the weapons deadly. So sharp in fact are they, that they can pierce through most armor and can slice through human flesh like a razor through parchment. But their greatest power is the ability to touch others and heal their mortal wounds through the use of Will.
There is always a weakness that comes with weapons of great power. Those who adorn the gauntlets and use its abilities will soon find their eyesight failing on them over a long period of time. All those that have ever used them—even once—have gone blind with age. And when they are used to heal, the adorner will find themselves very drained as if their own life-force had been passed into the other in order to save their life.
Questions, suggestions, and comments should be directed here, especially when chat is busy or when I am not online or active in the chat.
Re: The Multiverse: The Official OOC (uber)Thread
Actually if you want it as a news report, at least offically so, there is a News Thread for the Multiverse as a whole
Re: The Multiverse: The Official OOC (uber)Thread
Sangrei's only statement was this. "Hey, I was hungover, and I got an iced tea with honey. How was I supposed to know that the bear thing was gonna come over and wreck the bar looking for goddamn honey?"
Re: The Multiverse: The Official OOC (uber)Thread
Gambit's Bar was drained of all its honey by a mysterious yellow bear!

Unfortunately, Wing City police did not know this and were left in confusion to find only a yellow teddy bear with a red shirt at the scene of the crime.
The only customer under record who had ordered a glass of honey that day was a Sangrei Friedn. Responsibility for the bill and possibly the stolen stock of honey have yet to be decided. Police still find Friedn a suspect.

HAHAHAHAHA. The conclusion isn't coming til closer to the summer. Frequency of activity and times when the folks who are involved currently has dropped quite a bit for a variety of reasons, and I don't anticipate the conclusion to Family Pictures for a bit. That said, for those who pay attention to the faction-side of things, the announcement that elections have taken place for the Terran National Government will be posted soonish (i.e. within the next two weeks insh'Allah.)
Those who might be expecting me for roleplay, I will have no internet access this Thursday through Sunday this week except from my phone or if I can access someone else's computer with internet access. You will only be able to reliably reach me via email, which goes to my phone. If you don't have mine, any staff member does, as would anyone who regularly roleplays with me. Thanks!
Re: The Multiverse: The Official OOC (uber)Thread
There's no real procedure to get "started" in the Multiverse. The hub of activity is generally Gambit's Bar, but you can grab a roleplay partner and head anywhere. The sky's the limit!
Re: The Multiverse: The Official OOC (uber)Thread
I'm new here, and I just made my first character. How do I get started in the multiverse? I'd like to stick mostly to Terra to keep as close to my character's home as possible, but if I have to move, I will.
If you want to check out my character, go to roleplay/the-multiverse/characters/lorenzo-caracciolo
By the way, that is not near my real name, so don't worry.

You can create and play anything that you like in the Multiverse. There is no acceptance or review of characters, just create the character and start RPing!

Hello folks! Re: The Multiverse: Where Do We Go?
Um. Okay. Bear with me. I read through what posts I saw, and took note on things that were said to the best of my ability. Here's where I stand on the Multiverse, where the Multiverse is to me, and yeah. I guess.
I agree that there needs to be a set baseline. For instance, the name of the bar. The name of the world that the bar is on. The name of cities, nearby things like that. There can be a set system of government, the Wing City Police Department, but their "jurisdiction" only stretches so far. Some of the most interesting roleplay I've seen/participated in has involved characters coming from other worlds and having to either deal with, work around, or confront the system of government set in the Multiverse.
Alternately, some of the worst and most frustrating MV roleplaying I've seen has been .. involving characters coming from other worlds and having to deal with, work around, or confront the system of government set in the Multiverse.
I've always seen the MV as a hallways connecting various rooms. The rooms are your own story, your own ideas, your own canon, your own characters; it's where your friends gather and you control things. When you're out in that hall, however, all bets are off. That isn't to say you can pull things out of your ass, but you accept and understand a certain amount of handicap.
For instance, my character Liesha Kennicot is a Special Agent in the United States government, from her Earth. She's aware that there are other Earths, and that she doesn't had any control when in the MV. That's fine. However, when someone else walks up to her and starts trying to give her orders claiming that their faction has taken over mine without a single bit of IC content, that's when things start to go awry.
Reading back over the original post, it seems that the Multiverse has as much substance as you give it. It's a sandbox location where you can freely interact with new characters that you might not get a chance to. For a while, I used the MV as a way to try and test out ideas with people before making a roleplay out of it. You get your circles of friends (as Patch mentioned, his crew of eight) and you go at it. Sometimes you meet in the middle, and sometimes you don't.
And at the risk of ranting, that is all I have to say about that.
